Of course it's an inappropriate remark if you don't have freedom of speech. :-) Just because the pandemic has taken many lives doesn't mean that the students didn't also have a valid point of view that deserved to be heard. Sometimes a protest can result in a compromise and raise awareness for those at the top that certain rules need to be tweaked or whatever to keep people happy and safe.
Of course, had he committed a crime like Kris Wu, I would also agree that cancelling his career or dramas would be an appropriate response. 🙂 In this case, I think he is the victim, not the perpetrator.

If you liked her there, I suggest you try her latest drama: Meet Yourself. I am watching it right now and honestly, I think it is extraordinary. So unlike any other C drama I have watched. Slice of life, sooo wholesome and full of compassion and kindness. Food for the soul. Don't try to binge it because it's slow paced and more about relationships, healing from painful life experiences and personal growth.

So true. Actually I heard this is one of the new CCP rules for historical costume dramas. Costumes have to be historically accurate. Probably won't apply to fantasies though.
The FL's acting in most of the drama is extremely underwhelming, but to give credit where it's due, when she's heartbroken after LYF is given Phoenix Tears she gives a convincing performance!

Very reassuring! Thank you! God I'm so sick of pastel coloured Hanfu. Baby pink, blue and pale lavender need to die. It's not remotely historically accurate and historically accurate Hanfu is stunning.
Nah Zhou Yiwei is the male lead in Rebel Princess, the FL has a childhood sweetheart but they are broken up by circumstances in the first few episodes, and the FL is married off to the ML.
