Just because there's no kiss doesn't mean it's queerbaiting...The series is about two queer people who end up…
Ah right, apologies. I’ll rephrase myself: But in the end it feels like two male kpop stars were pushed by their entertainment company to play a “cute” LGBT love story with a happy ending with them becoming a couple in order to attract a female and gay audience to gain popularity.
Dear, you can't ignore all the warning signs and then complain it's fucked up, you're literally watching a show…
-Edit; gonna spoiler this.
I've seen the tags. Seen the trailers. Didn't ignore it. I'm fine with using fucked up themes. Especially with pretty actors, I understand why people enjoy something like this and getting sexually aroused by it. There's crazier shit on your average porn website. I was prepared for something like this.
But for me personally, the transition from so much comedy to a fucked up theme like we see this episode is what has confused me. It's like they've been trying to put the characters in a better perspective beforehand and with that downplay what has happened in this episode. Drugging someone with GHB, sexual assault by character 1, and having sexual intercourse after with character 2 , isn't really something you should build up with comedy. But you know, that's just my opinion.
Don't get me wrong, there's plenty I do enjoy. But some critiques are allowed, right?
Ok, so I started following this one on Netflix. The second episode was great. It’s been a long time but I laughed myself to death with the farting scene. And the confession was in my opinion probably the most romantic one I’ve seen so far in a K-drama.
Instead of romance, it is like both of them are personifications of each others greatest desire. For one it is a meaning in life. For the other being worshipped.. No, would rather say being noticed in this world. But to call it love? Meh. Realistically speaking the bond between these two wouldn't be the healthiest imo. Nor would it have a good outcome in the end.
But perhaps I would think differently after the next episode or after reading the novel.
Tae Joo should’ve been part of the finale episode. His death in ep 7 didn’t feel like the right time. And I know our girl is a monster, but her fighting at the end in the hotel was ridiculolous script writing.
The freaking guts to say he has no friends and has nothing else to do while you sit there at his table. I would’ve physically shown them every bloody corner of the house.
Just by the first episode I can already tell it has too much comedy. Should’ve expected it with Song Joong Ki. Still I was hoping for a ‘bit more Cruel City.
Be right back, Imma go get a license.
