Maybe you can update the cast here to add the others.
Fine. I suppose just referring to https://wiki.d-addicts.com/The_White_Olive_Tree would be enough : Dramawiki is more reactive and usually well up to date with most cast listings, although they most often follow the Baidu drama page, which is a bit slow in updating, this time. So, I suppose MDL will also follow suit. Eventually. I am glad I'm following some superfan pages which helpfully had compiled that illustration with names of further cast.
Maybe you can update the cast here to add the others.
I tried to update info on other dramas where I had dug up suitable info, and it bounced because the sources were not official. Though the info was true and tested. So I have given up on updating here except mentioning in my Discussion pieces where MDL is plain mistaken (it happens) or lacks info.
Feel free to update MDL if you like, using the info I compiled or other sources. Anyway it's nice to have different ways to convey info ?
Yuanbaos are very cute and helpful. I'm afraid that when Zheyuan gains more popularity, toxic fans will also enter…
Don't be Doomsday fortune teller... There are always rotten apples in every bag of clean ones. Sure there are toxic fans. But I fortunately have not spotted many. Mostly some inconsiderate ones who stalk him and crowd him too much at times, like once at Beijing airport, or trekking to sets that were under construction, causing him to worry for their safety. The majority know the rules to stay at arms distance at least, not obstruct his path when he is going places, and best wait in a tidy group like those who did so after the ALLOVE event. He is one of those who value fan letters and even answers as much as he can. Besides that, Yuanyuan is popular and his star is still rising which is rather a joy to observe.
I was dubious about the two actresses first thought of, although I like ZJY, but I was glad Liang Jie jumped in when WYW jumped ship ; yes she will be a perfect Song Ran :D
It looks so good but at the same time 40 episodes... I don't know what to think.
Since I started watching looooong dramas a long time ago, I feel 40-65 episodes are quite ok for a good drama. I don't like it much when a drama becomes artificially divided into seasons 1, 2,... just because rules prevented it from airing full length. I hope the screenwriters did not make TWOT too choppy with cuts, to "fit to size": looking forward to the excitement of this project.
Btw the Profile being parked in DNAD discussion is purely for convenience's sake. If this actor profile page had one, that's where I would put it. But I like the possibility to add, change, correct, in the Discussions page. It is easier to do so than in Articles, which are a "finished product", whereas this is a continuing project.
So I house most of what dramas inspire me in Discussions pages. Usually in the form of a "companion piece" which can include maps, complete characters & cast illustrated directory and more, including some lesser "mini Profiles", from my ongoing other fandom explorations: Chen Xingxu, Liu Yuning, Tan Jianci, ...
I have added the relevant excerpt about TWOT from the Profile of Chen Zheyuan (linked) that I have been working in since last summer. Pictures, Gifs, links, expanded cast as known with character's names that MDL still have not found (!), linking to actors and actresses pages, directors and screenwriters pages. The story of the search for FL... And a link to a beloved song that could be kept in mind for its symbolism. Enjoy! https://kisskh.at/discussions/bai-se-gan-lan-shu/123595-shooting-location-cast-and-crew-and-more
I have updated the Chen Zheyuan Profile with latest info about upcoming dramas, picture of vacation in Thailand, brand ambassadorship for Age20 and... Papa John's pizza + Shenzhen tourism board. All with Gif and pics linking to original sources. And a song, that I think ought to be known in connection with TWOT, despite it is not on the OST. Oh yes, also the cast of TWOT, as known by now but not yet published on Baidu. I have also tweaked the layout with colors, and cross links to "chapters" to ease perusing.

There was talk about a Nirvana In Fire Season 3 that "could air this year or next". But the cast "are not confirmed. It was a one time melon last year and that was that." One MDL member wrote a long while ago that "It might be 2026 before we see NIF3. I am guessing that Leo Wu will reprise his role of Fei Liu, who didn't talk in NIF1.".
The nearest upcoming item mentioned on MDL is the movie Decent Things that wrapped shooting 3 months ago. How long it will take for it to get clearance to be shown is anyone's guess. Wu Lei has no beef with real controversy, so it should not be too long, but my guess (guess only, using unreliable melon like crystal ball hahaha) is : not before the autumn, but maybe in 2024.
Next item, another movie, Dwelling By The West Lake (aka Dwelling in the Fuchun Mountains 2: Qiantang River) was supposed to have been shown for a worldwide premiere at Tokyo International Film Festival and will enter on the Competition., back in October 2023, but was apparently overlooked. The synopsis looks complicated and not very clear, the festival short presentation says it's about "a son who saves his mother from modern monsters" (gangs?) in the tea growing region. There has been nothing more reported on MDL about this movie since October 2023. Still, some believe it could also air in 2024.
Another (flimsy) movie project The Legend of Nezha, seems to have foundered because of financial and other problems, according to rumors ; the joke was that it would "air in 2030".
I've come across some criticisms regarding Yinguo, with some questioning why Lin Yiyang is interested in her,…
This is totally in line with how the leads themselves and Zhao Jingmai specifically, viewed and played the character : "I also felt the hard core beneath her seemingly soft appearance" as expressed in her farewell message, which I included in the section about "Wu Lei's work to become Lin Yiyang" in the "Billiards universe" companion piece up in Discussions.
I agree with your assessment about Zhao Jinmai's play. She is certainly one young actress to like and follow on her rise. I remember her from Reset, which her presence made into a success : it was not that easy, given the lesser loved "time loop" subject matter.
To me, in Reset, she outshone Bai Jingting ; in AASOL she stood her ground to the charisma of Wu Lei. The BTS when they played snippets of the "dodging kisses" game, and some other ones like those of the bath scene, made me laugh together with the pair. They clearly were not stuck up, in rehearsals as well as in final takes!
Find it here titled simply "Yang Guifei" with English subtitles : https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=oQIewYmBucc It is beautifully made and Fan Bingbing is of course stunning. Just re-watched - I saw it when it aired, but that was 17 years ago... The movie starts with Byzantine envoys to Tang empire arriving to witness the emperor paying homage to soldiers fallen in the war on both sides. The foreign envoys are played by English actors who serve as observers along the story, commenting in English, so the movie was clearly destined for international audience.

I am sure this is an old song I heard before. Not Chinese.
It does fit the snippet of footage, like in FMVs.

(At the moment, this latest version of the Profile is parked in DNAD Discussion pages, just for convenience sakes ; if this Actor profile page had a similar pinned Discussions page, I would have parked it here from beginning).
Ah or A is the endearing form for a familiar way of using first name
