Global availability may also be in play. Spooky in Love is for example available in N-Europe, while not so much…
Yes, I totally understand all that. I have a technical background and I do understand statistics and where and when and how the data is collected has an impact on results.

My statement was not a question as to why the difference but rather how interesting it is in variance of the ratings. Even ratings in Korea differs between Seoul and nationwide. I just find it interesting how different demographics play into ratings. In other words, ratings are not gospel, but just another indicator to ponder on.

I have always been curious about the demographics of MDL viewers, such as age bracket, gender, and even sexual orientation, etc. as those have an impact on how an individual rates and comments on the shows and actors.

This drama plot holes are bigger than a rock sifter. And, there are many huge plot holes. Yet, I am really loving it.

I really can't remember if I ever seen so much skin on a FL. Usually it's the ML. It really shows how hard she works to keep such a toned and athletic body. Not easy being an actor or singer (male or female) for sure.

There was an older drama where the ML doesn't get the FL. Just can't remember the name. From what I vaguely remember,…
Not that one. The story was about the ML and FL. 2nd ML had a relatively small part.

still waiting for a drama where second lead gets the girl
There was an older drama where the ML doesn't get the FL. Just can't remember the name. From what I vaguely remember, he had a crush on her but she didn't. She liked him as a friend. They started as enemies.

I am convinced that Kim Hye Jun is a vampire, OK a very beautiful vampire. She definitely does not look 31. She really does look like a 16 / 17 year old in those early scenes and at most 20 in later scenes.

childhood fated marriage? in this one? maybe i missed something.
Yeah, that was my impression too, but some viewers thought the dead brother was FL's first love. As you said, we'll see.

No, not directly in this one. The chances are that her first love's heart is in the ML. That's what they alluded to.

In every drama fate has a major role as I mentioned in mu original post and childhood connections are also pretty dominant in the dramas. Hence my joke about childhood fated marriages in South Korea. My joke was about real life marriages in South Korea not in this drama.

I am enjoying this drama very much. Unfortunately the clichรฉs are getting too thick, otherwise I would rate it a good 9.

I get it that fate is pretty huge in Korea, or east Asian cultures, but using it in every drama is a bit too much. I mean you would think that every marriage in South Korea was a childhood fated marriage ๐Ÿ˜‚ Don't South Korean viewers ever get tired of all these clichรฉs in their dramas? I guess not. ๐Ÿคฆโ€โ™‚๏ธ๐Ÿ™„

YES
Based on MDL ratings which typically an 8 means good, I believe 8.4 is a bit low. But, it's not a 9 either. Nevertheless it's extremely entertaining with great acting and story.

I am enjoying it very much, but there are some things that bother me. For instance, the police always gets tip-offs,…
Have you ever seen a movie or drama, regardless of country of making, which did not have these nonsense? ๐Ÿ˜‚๐Ÿ˜‚๐Ÿ˜‚

BTW, I am with you on your thinking. ๐Ÿ˜Š

The story is definitely not grabbing me. I struggled through 5 episodes and still can't make heads or tails out of it. It surely doesn't feel like a romantic comedy to me. For me it's neither romantic nor comedy.

Maybe I have seen too many dramas and that is the reason it feels underwhelming. I also don't see a good focus, it feels all over the board to me.

Debating if I should drop it. Your mileage may vary, especially for new comers.

Unless they manage to airlift WooJin to some hospital and he's not already dead. Anyway - what's this season,…
Yep, exactly. Can't expect even one ounce of logic in this drama.

Good grief, even in average dramas logic is the first to be thrown out. But, then again that's worldwide entertainment industry in general. ๐Ÿ˜Š
