YY why the hell did you walk her past the bridge and tell her it has properties to dissolve her soul? My sweet summer child what did you think was going to happen with her passionate and unrestrained nature???
My husband as he saw the scene: Hell no I would not have let you near that bridge. I would have taken a detour!
Me: That's cuz you're wise after 16 years of marriage!
It fascinates me when people run in here to tell the world that some other drama they've watched is better. Why don't you run along and analyse that drama if it's so good then? Why do you need to announce it here? Why are you so special that we need to know that you found IS boring????? Is it supposed to rock our worlds that you found it boring? Do you want to our attention so you can feel special?
I certainly don't have time to go and make an announcement to every drama that I find boring. I'd rather spend time rewatching IS and swooning here instead.
I'm rewatching the difficult parts in the Heavenly Realm.
On rewatching I don't get the vibe that all along YD wanted or expected YY to give up the three realms for her.
She started out saving him because she was compassionate. I actually think initially when she started visiting him, she probably would have done it for any of her friends. If that was Luming she would have visited him and tried to keep him company too.
Obviously because it is our spunky YY, those feelings grew on both sides leading to the tragic events.
Poor Yan Dan. She rips her heart out, has to keep quiet about it because her sh*thole of a sister took credit. She was happy to ignore YY and try to go about her life, sh*tty sister frames her.
It's all ffing Zhixi's fault. If that piece of sh*t hadn't framed YD, YD would probably have sulked for a bit, YY would have chased her for a bit and she would probably have been on friendly terms with him again.
I was not touched by the sisterly reunion. Zhixi deserves a good stab in the eye. Am not a fan. I actually find her more offensive than evil lamp. Anyways I digress.
By the time YY walked YD to that bridge she was so battered and messed up, she wanted an admittance and when it was not forthcoming she went nuclear. I think she felt that all she had left, all that would have made everything "worth it" was some form of acknowledgment from him. Alas it didn't come so she felt used and stupid which resulted in her going nuclear to run away from what she deemed to be her "mistakes." She felt like she couldn't go on and face herself and probably what she deemed to be her own foolishness so she hurled herself off that cliff. After all what did she have left? She was in trouble with a sh*tty sister and a bloke who showed no signs of ever acknowledging her.
She lived in a house with him for months, cheered him up, kept him in good spirits and comfortable, never gave up on him, ripped out her heart to save him.
Then after a series of events she gets walked to the gallows by him. No wonder she was infuriated and humiliated. She couldn't face herself. What a fool she'd been all those months.
This is why I think the mortal realm was so important for her development. Even when she remembered everything and held her grudge she could soldier on. At first she was going to go off, live her life, write more plays. Then when he needed her she stayed to support him this time knowing full well what the outcome was likely to be and making peace with it.
You know what’s awesome about our couple. It’s not a typical love hate relationship. They bickered but ALWAYS had each other’s back.
YY always supported her and never let anyone pick on her. YD yelled xiaoren at him all the time but she supported him on that roof when he needed someone to talk to and helped retrieve his book when she realised it meant a lot to him. Same as when they were In the mortal realm. They’d regularly snark at each other but saved each other and would pause fighting to have heart to heart chats. I adore that so much.
I think he’s sobbing because didn’t Luming tell TZ stuff about the friend when he was TZ? So YY is probably…
Ooh so I went to look for the scene.
TZ asks why Luming is helping him and Luming says a dear friend wants him to protect TZ forever. That plus videos of ripped out hearts must really set him off.
Ok, ep 48 trailer where YY is crying watching the cloud video of YD give him her heart. I don’t understand it.…
I think he’s sobbing because didn’t Luming tell TZ stuff about the friend when he was TZ? So YY is probably feeling lousy about the whole thing and plus seeing her rip her heart out all the time is pretty confronting. He always wanted her to be happy and do whatever she wanted, live a carefree, rogue life but now he’s confronted with her ripping her heart out twice. Events which were set off by him ordering her to his palace, I can see why he’s sobbing. If he’d left her to work where she was, she’d probably still be bopping around, having fun with none of this trauma.
Of course we must start a three day hiatus with a tearful stab!
I am fully expecting Yan Dan to reject him at first but I REALLY want to know how he woos her again. Like does he chase her around? Hehe she looks pretty disgruntled 😅
Love that Tang Zhou recognised fakeYD without any doubt at all! That’s my boy!
And spiralling
And having a meltdown

We can only wish!

And how many xiaorens will be uttered along the way?
This mortal trial of waiting for new episodes is rough!!!
I'm ready for the angst!!!!!
