She's probably alternating between feeling sorry for him, resenting the situation, trying to save him, telling herself he's going to die and this is a bad idea and then finally a bit of self loathing whenever her feelings cave in for him.
Omg some of the BTS stuff is hilarious! I could never rewatch the scene where ZhiXi lies and tries to take credit but I just saw a BTS of Yang Zi chasing Cheng Yi saying "I saved you, you better know it was me"

Curious question! Is it normal for the distribution companies to push the costars? I find Youku very shippy, to the point where it’s giving me the vibes of a fan who is shipping the actors. Is this what they normally do to promote a series? Or is it more prevalent here? I’ve never watched live before.
Omg I’m watching ep4 and it’s hilarious how YY has absolutely no control over YD despite being ranked well above her . The part where he comes in just in time to save her and she won’t let go of his waist. He has to talk her out of it and then proceeds to engage in petty bickering with her while ZhiXi is wondering what the hell is going on.
I appreciate the dynamic more than ever upon rewatch. The differences between the early eps and the cottage are especially intriguing. You can see Yan Dan slowly grow up and lose that carefree part of herself. Yang Zi is such a master.

If you love romance 2-6 are my favorite all time episodes and I'm watching them again for the 6th time. It's a bit like a rom com from 2-6. Then it gets serious.
The storyline is good although you have your usual draggy eps later but overall it has excellent character development and a very intelligent female lead with a backbone. She's super cute but has a very solid backbone and lots of hustle.
ML is very different to the usual cold and aloof male lead in white. I think it's the actor. He gives the ML a good sense of humour and makes him very endearing.
