Again I have not attacked an “entire” fandom, but it’s okay you can continue to think that 99% of the fandom is the sweetest and everyone else is just lying. Maybe all EM, FB & now JD fans all blew this out of the proportion just bc of one comment. And FK is indeed the most peaceful fandom on earth. We all are just passive-aggressive drama queens.

I’m not generalizing an entire fandom. That is why my comment starts with words “some people” not “everyone in those fandoms”. It’s like I would never say that all ON fans are delusional, yet when someone says “ON fans” that is the first thing that comes to mind. Same with FK. Even now I came to the page just for fun and the first thing you see is yet again a person saying that JD are not decent enough of an actors to share screen time with FK with a lot of ppl engaging with this comment saying how true it is.

I saw that you said that 99% of FK fans are the sweetest, but sadly that is not the experience most of GMM fandom has with FK fans. It’s still like this to this day no matter where you go. I mean general space, not FK discord.

I wish some people (especially yk those two fandoms) would get off from their high horse about their faves being the only talented ones. Karma is a bitch. G4 fans also bullied everyone during MC that no one deserves to be on screen with them, now look at the ppl’s reaction to MLMU. Believe it or not but bad script, wrong casting and lameass execution can make everyone a bad actor. Including the most talented Gun in Cooking Crush.

You can love your faves without putting down others. Let’s not repeat the same mistakes of OF and MC times.

And let’s be fair unlike many Joongdunk didn’t have a chance to act in any good written show and the first director they worked with is my number one “no-no god pls no” director. If people here think that FirstKhao would be sensational in roles like Star In My Mind, bc they’re talented all around, I sincerely doubt it I’m sorry lol. To become so popular with a filmography like SIMM & HA is a talent for sure lmao. Like what opportunities do you even compare. Maybe let’s compare to Khao in Tonhon Chonlatee lol But don’t say that opportunities like Not Me, Eclipse & OF are same as SIMM & HA. This is laughable. It’s like comparing Puppy Honey & Not Me. With a person who only watched the first one saying that Gun is an awful actor.

And for real, some do not understand how important it is to be able to promote your series. You cannot deny that JD are first class entertainers, they can engage ppl even into the dumbest shows. And I personally think it’s a gift. Everyone who knows Thai entertainment industry should know that it’s crucial to success too. Like it or not if you want a success, you gotta be good in this game and they actually make it fun. Plus Joong is an incredible singer too, which is also very much needed.

But ofc why see the benefits when same ppl yet again go “but FK are the bestest of actors, I’m so worried that they let the gods almighty to share the screen with peasants again”. How people do not learn I honestly don’t get.

And I specifically want to teach G4 & FK fans how to compliment their faves. You just write “I think FK are extremely talented” or “I think G4 are incredible actors”. You don’t have to put a comma after this and add “unlike EM, whose scenes in the show are the worst.” That was a short class that hopefully isn’t very complicated. But ofc if you want to get into history as the most annoying fandoms on earth, then continue ofc.

Yeah I get that ppl will say that it’s all fans fault, if they wanna waste their money it’s their problem. But this case is particularly ruthless to me tbh. I mean they could’ve at least throw them some bone idk. I mean as an artist I would feel really bad if I saw my fans receiving this treatment. But just sitting there watching this happening and tormenting them even more just bc they “love” them and shamelessly using it by giving nothing in return is just so unkind. P’Tha with that interview about “engagement” really turned their brains upside down. But actors who don’t even care for fans’ support is even sadder. You feed their insanity and then themselves just drop them like that. It’s not the shipping situation (bc in that case it’s valid), it’s just ppl supporting your work. That’s so sad. At least when other GMM ships gotten shitty series I saw them having fun with fans and themselves trending with them, shooting silly vids to make tweeting stuff easier etc. But this time it’s just absolutely ruthless. And ppl trending stuff they admit they don’t even enjoy is just wild. Like holy f*ck this whole thing is so absurd it’s hard to believe it’s the world we’re living in rn. This is surreal.

Maybe some will disagree, but I really wish fans would be more honest with themselves. I do get the desire to support your faves, but not to this extent tbh. Like I’ve seen a tweet of a person who said that yes the series is not good and some ppl don’t want to help with the trend anymore, but if they won’t hit the million, she will cry that’s why she stays until morning tweeting in the tag and asks other ppl to “pls find something good to say, even though it’s bad”. My brain really can’t even proceed this.

I mean if you don’t like it, just say that. If you don’t like it, you can actually not tweet. My god, people, what are you doing to yourself?

Everyone knows by now that GMM won’t discard anyone if the show flops. Especially established CP. One of their biggest BL flops was Enchante, it really didn’t stop P’Tha from giving Forcebook 2 BLs next year, bc they wanted it. If your faves want to continue working together, they will. You can actually honestly critique and dislike what they’re putting them into. Especially if they’re so openly only made it to take your money. Like yes, indeed some series can be just not to people’s tastes, some like fluff some don’t etc. But there’s no way that you don’t see it when the series is actually not good. Not in terms of “it’s not my thing”, but in terms of directing, screenwriting, editing, acting etc.

Being honest means supporting your faves. That way company can change, future writing can change, the projects they give to your faves can change. GMM is actually lurking into what the fans say on twitter, esp when they’re super vocal. Not always, but there were several times when they did listen. Maybe next time they will think twice next time before doing something like that and thinking that it’s okay. I can’t believe that there are apparently people who are seriously forcing themselves to stay awake to look for a needle in a pile of garbage and agitating others to join. Young ppl, pls go to sleep, go watch stuff that you actually enjoy, no one would die if you don’t tweet about the stuff you don’t even like. It’s not worth it, I promise.

Many on twitter go “stop pointing out the series’s flaws”. Like excuse me but WHY exactly should people stop? This is actually how you fix things.

And 8.3 is just not even funny. You all know it’s not that. Even if you’re a die hard fan of fluffy romcoms and overacting (bc it’s “so manga-like” yeah right), you still must see that it’s not good. Why are you lying to yourself I do not get. And it is also known that Thai production houses aren’t looking at MDL ratings. For whom do you create those accounts to rate it so highly idk. G4 aren’t gonna be here to see your “sacrifice”. And if you’re thinking this rating will help attract new viewers and they would find your faves like that, why in hell would you want them to see them for the first time in a mess like this, where no their acting no their chemistry is at their best. After seeing this they will probably have the opposite reaction to what you want.

It would seriously be a better use of time to create a video of “everything is wrong with mlmu” as promotion. It’ll be double help. Promotion + working on mistakes. Very creative and maybe the director will see it and learn from it. We all need to constantly better ourselves and learn new things anyways, not be like those parents who tell their child that he’s naturally talented, when he’s tone-deaf. No need to be mean and bully (this is extra important!!!), but constructive criticism is what makes ppl grow, unless you want them to be stuck in their average.

But to force yourself to support what you don’t like so the next time you would get yet again something like that sounds like a nightmare to me.

Another secret some might not know is that sometimes even actors themselves know that their project is not good, so it’s okay to join them on this. (I’m not saying it’s true about G4 & this project, I’m just saying it has happened before in the industry). There’s been cases when actors later admitted to it and laughed at it too. Really no need to sacrifice your health and sleep for something no one even cared enough while making.

And I just feel like this fans’ attitude is also a partial reasoning to why GMM is not trying very hard. I’m not a hater, I really adore GMM universe. But looking around with all the companies doing things like My Stand In, Sign, Century of Love, Pit Babe etc. we can definitely say that they’re not trying. Yes, at times they do write good script and a good director films it like Bad Buddy or smth, but it’s still something with a pretty basic plot, without taking any risks or trying an actual interesting plot or adding something new to the world of BL. Once in two years they would push out something actually good quality and even that will probably yet again be a slice of life. You’d be lucky your faves in this good quality show, while everyone else has to go through the same scheme of “let’s support my fav in this trash”. This is really so frustrating to watch. And seeing how much artists GMM gathered, soon everyone is gonna be GMM, you just wait.

So yeah, no matter how much I enjoy any CP, no one will force my finger to rate their low quality show 10/10 or agitate ppl to write praises about it and create several accounts to rate it higher, when I myself know it’s a mess. I really do not understand the point of it. It doesn’t help anybody in my opinion.

Like did that jd fans loudest campaign “pls stop putting our faves in a lameass no plot shows” is the reason they at least got an adult show and something different? Maybe not. But like what if it is? What if those edits sent to Jojo played a role? You’ll never know. But at least they tried.

It’s still better than sitting in all seriousness trying to persuade ppl that those 5 commercials in a row that aren’t even properly integrated in the series are a blast and cute and “it’s what always happening in Thai BL, you all need to get used to it”. Like nah, dude, some of us have been watching Thai series for 10 years now and no, it’s not supposed to be like that. There’s actually a limit. And also time and place.

Also as a person who finds Japanese overacting that they at times do very cringe, it’s just a fact that in KH it actually for some reason worked (which surprised me), but here it really doesn’t. Like yeah the character is indeed like this in the manga, but for some reason in this version instead of cute, it looks uncomfortable and unnatural, while in KH it fit perfectly fine and even was adorable. Whose fault is this I honestly do not know. But I’m that person who said that I really don’t think that Japanese type of comedy suits Thailand. In fact I think to find people who can actually pull off this being extra vibe is almost impossible. It’s much much harder than any dramatic role. So to me seeing that they decided to redo this and Ossan’s Love especially was the weirdest decision ever. I to this day do not get it.

And on top of all this tons of commercials and bad quality they want fans to pay for a reaction video to an episode? A REACTION VIDEO! Absolutely shameless. I’m starting to think G4 themselves dgaf about this series. Like fr all of the artists do reactions to their fav moments on their IG lives or something just for fun and for the fans. Pondphuwin, Offgun, Taynew, Joongdunk they really filmed it in hotels just to watch together and laugh and posted it for free. And even official ones with Jojo & Aof are all free. It’s honestly crazy. I’m sure G4 aren’t this broke. The secondhand embarrassment I get watching all of this unfold. I feel bad for the fans.

I’m sorry for this long rant, but seeing all these young fans genuinely not understanding that ppl are taking advantage of them is messed up. A huge part of this fandom is kids and one really wrote “I paid asap and I don’t even understand what they’re saying”. None of this is normal and it is actually the first time I’m seeing them being shameless to this extent.

If they wanted to stay together, they would’ve. And yes, as u say we won’t pry, just stating the fact that all of the GMM’s announcements are usually just for the sake of announcements. I honestly don’t think it’s true about GMM “forcing” anyone in BL. Dew and Nani despite being shipped also by fans seem to be doing fine without it. It is true though that every actor there probably knows that to get more money, being in a pairing is strategically better ofc. Plus it’s nice to a have a support I think. Est was whining about wanting one and Mark also finally was like yes, even though before he didn’t care for it :) I think Chimon also wanted it, but it all didn’t live up to his expectations. He and Perth are both very popular on their own with history of doing BLs too, it was bound to be a success. But then mean fans came and I even though Dunk also went through this nasties yelling everywhere for Joong to drop him, and Forcebook after Enchante got the whole pile of garbage thrown on them, not everyone can get out and recover or keep going after this. I do get that it’s not for everyone. You gotta be mentally build for this in this industry, that’s just how it goes. So I also think it was a good decision for both

Yeah, but Mark wasn’t in an established ship back then, plus it wasn’t even the main role, this has zero impact on anyone. Gawin recently got hurt, but no one is replacing him asap in GB. And High School Frenemy was temporarily stopped bc of Nani’s injury and only now restarted. It all depends on whether they wanted or not wanted to continued working on smth or not. If they wanted, I’m pretty sure they would’ve waited ok. I’m not talking about schedule clashes when they change actors, I’m talking about health problems situations. They say it’s only bc he’s gonna be okay when H&S will start filming, but if he wanted to be in P10L they would’ve waited for him just fine

But if we’re being honest GMM can easily allow themselves to postpone or temporarily stop the shooting, it has happened zillion times before bc of actors accidentally getting hurt and many other problems. I truly think there were obviously other reasons for this “break up”. If someone from Forcebook for some reason couldn’t make it, obviously they would’ve just postponed it easily until one got back and no one would’ve changed their partners. But ofc we won’t pry. Same as with several previous announcements, it’s obvious that they won’t say the complete truth. Nevertheless I hope everything will work out for everyone. Health and general well-being is the most important in life. I hope all the artists would always put it first instead of trying to please the fans or trying to continue when they don’t feel like they can. Yeah, this is the irony. If that was indeed how he was “supposed to be”, it would just flow as it’s supposed to flow. It’s only when delivery is not working for people, it feels like something’s off.

And like I’m always reading everything: manga, novels, etc because I like watching characters I created in my head come to life and see whether the interpretation works for me or not. But my bestie is also anti-reading like you, yet we both agree that the point of movie and tv series adaptation is to deliver the information without people having to read the original material. It’s on actors too, since not everyone is going to read stuff before watching, most don’t.

If it’s working for some that’s great, but this argument aka “you just didn’t read and it’s seen” is just not it.

I’ve read it and it’s still not working for me. That’s not an offense tbh. I still think people are wrong when they say that if you can’t play any role you’re a bad actor. Sometimes people are just miscast in my opinion. Like not everyone on the Untamed cast could pull off Lan Zhan, doesn’t mean they’re bad actors. And the actor who plays Ida in Japanese version highly unlikely would be perfect in the role of Aoki. Sometimes the roles fit or don’t fit. For some it works, for some it doesn’t. I honestly don’t get what’s so offensive about that to people.

But yeah the main point is no one HAS TO read the manga to “get it”. That manga is not that deep, it’s not a psychological thriller lol

Poker-face, cold characters are indeed very hard to play. Maybe one of the hardest even. Because then you have to find ways to express things differently and that’s true art. Sadly not everyone can do that, so I think criticism in this aspect is allowed. We’ve been living with poker face characters in BL for a while now with most famous one to this day probably still being Lan Wangji. And yes there are indeed people who succeed in playing those characters and those who don’t. So if some say that for them Gemini’s acting here is not working it’s also a valid opinion, I’m just saying. It’s not because they don’t know that this character is supposed to be like that.

There are a lot of “expressionless” characters like Lan Zhan, Zhang Qiling, Sangwoo, Shinwoo, Shen Wei, Kluen etc. but like they’re all different. I don’t understand it when people say “that’s how he’s supposed to be”. He’s supposed to be like what? Like which one? LOL Even if you play poker-face guy it should speak to people on many levels. They’re all really different. There’s no such thing as “he doesn’t make you feel anything or seems robotic, because he plays nonchalant character”. Like I’m not on anyone’s side here, because what works for ones can not at all work for others, but that’s just not a good argument. Poker face character and someone acting unnatural are different things.

No, I get all that, this show is not complicated.
I think I’m trying to find some depth in Ming that doesn’t exist probably. It’s a bit upsetting to see that he’s not even interesting, he’s just sad tbh. But that’s just my problem because sexual awakening I 100% get, but starting to revolve your life about someone bc he has a hot back I do not get at all haha it’s just ridiculous in so many levels. He basically didn’t care at all about who is behind this back. Anyone would do. “Don’t try to make sense out of him, it’s pointless” is kinda upsetting (ofc I’ll try to, he’s the main character) bc even totally crazy characters like Xue Yang or smth, it’s still fun to make sense out of them (not realistically ofc), bc that’s the point of characters in fiction. This show is not really serious, it’s just funny to me that they clearly imply that it’s a love story. I’ve asked a friend and she told me that indeed yes a novel is a romance. That’s such a weird “romance”, it’s not romancing to me lol.

And ofc it’s doesn’t have to be epic (I just accidentally thought it was bc I’ve heard Chinese BL and reincarnation, I haven’t read it). I just can’t see it as any love story, even the simple one, that’s all.

I didn’t say anything about something being wrong with being enamoured with part of somebody’s body. One of my favorite ships actually has canonical obsession with his partner’s wide shoulders, but that was already secondary after he made a whole list of how incredible he is to him as a person. He didn’t fell in love with his back and be like “oh if only this back that I love is transferred to a person who is more decent than the one I can’t have” lmao

But of course everyone is different. If you’re in love with David bc you found his back beautiful and start to revolve your life around this feeling even tho you don’t know the guy it’s a bit sad

That’s a very interesting and quality series but I really do not get how to feel “awww” at that moment everyone calls “realization” that “it was Joe all the time”. He says “I’m sorry, it was you from the start”. Like no, it wasn’t lol it was just a random back you attached to an assholish persona that decided you’re in love with. It wasn’t “Joe since the very beginning ”. You didn’t know him back then. This whole “I fell in love with the back” is such a weird concept to me personally. I do get Sirano de Bergerac situation when it’s truly a reveal like “oh it was YOU all along”, but here this scene doesn’t affect you in that way because his words don’t apply to this situation. It‘s not like he was in love with Joe ever since he saw his back. This is just funny. Imagine living with someone for 5 years and be like “actually I fell in love with your toe, oh wait, this toe wasn’t your toe all this time? I was in love with a guy across the street? then I’m leaving” lol

It’d be fine for me if it was like some psychological mental philosophy series, but from what I’m seeing I assume novel was meant to be a romantic novel, right? My brain sadly just can’t grasp the LOVE part here.

Unless ofc this whole story is meant to be a tragedy and it’s just two sad ppl being forever sad. Like I already know it’s probably gonna end with them living all “happily ever after” being cute and all, but I will laugh 100% because that’s gonna be weird in my opinion. There is not even any specific huge personality trait that Ming could’ve recognise in Joe after reincarnation like in some love stories like that. Yeah, this awkward vibe of “he kisses me I just stand there and blush” is never my thing. But when it also makes no sense in the context, it’s even more painful to watch for me.

Like damn, you’ve been dreaming about this person for a long time and you’re not a nun, so even after the initial shock, can I see him being at least somewhat invested? It’s really impossible to believe he was in love with him for soooo long. It’s not even just the kiss, it’s the whole body language to me, aka nonexistent.

I came to see if I was the only one and apparently I am lmao, but that was waaaaay too EXTRA for me. I get the situation but that was so dramatic it became comical, I was caught off guard with Satang’s performance which yeah was a good emotional break down, but like… why lol. It was way overboard and sudden for this particular thing. I had to rewind just to get where did I blink for so long and someone died xD Then “listen, please listen, please, listen”, he was standing there for like 20 minutes listening, you could’ve read him first chapter of “Lord of the Rings” by that time.

I also sadly still cannot see their romantic chemistry (but that’s just my tastebuds), that kiss was very cringy to me. I was really trying with these two since it was their episode this week basically but I don’t think I see what others see. I can say I tried very hard though.

And the flow of the show is very bad to me, bc scenes are very random, they try to fit all 4 couples in the episode at least for a bit and it ruins emotional investment in the storylines. Last episode we don’t see almost anything valuable about the two, next it’s sudden epic drama, while the couple we got invested last week bc of their screen time and development , now gets nothing. It doesn’t entertain me, it’s pissing me off instead, bc my personal emotions don’t work like this, I can’t just turn on and off and pause it, the distribution is just not it. New stays my worst enemy when it comes to storytelling. I can’t get this dude at all.
