I have a strong feeling that this is gonna be a series for me. I at first was afraid it’s gonna be “Dangerous romance” vibes, but to my utter happiness after seeing the MV and special it actually has “Never Let Me Go” vibes. It’s totally the “we just want to love each other, f*ck everyone else” vibes LOL

It seems like it’s gonna be at times angsty, might seem silly at times but you’re still worried even though you know they’ll be okay. A bit of torture, a bit absurdity and just them wanting to be together while killing some ppl in the process, which is fine by me haha

I really REALLY LOVE those, I hope I’m correct and it’s this. I know there are camps who either adore NLMG to death or those who do not get the hype, but I’m in camp number 1. I love those romances that have plot, but also are really just about the two being very into each other. Those are the perfect combo.

And I actually don’t like depressing sh*t, I just want my angst with a happy ending. Angst very needed, but happy ending also very needed. This seems like my kind of stuff.

yeah, I’ve already written below that idk why ppl make it one vs the other, I’m very much WhiteLune and do not want any drama in between between while also kinda want that (bc Lune only has any intensity in him and becomes interesting when he’s with him lol). I’ve also said that making us dislike him in some aspects is a nice move imo bc it makes him less boring this way. I know it’s a weird take, but that’s just how it is for me lol

And yeah definitely no WhiteStar for me, I do not feel like this is the Team Edward/Team Jacob kind of series 🤣 or like with Gorya in F4 where everyone was team this or that. Here there’s no such vibe to me.

I think they have great warm chemistry, but their chemistry is just very sister/brother like to me. I really can’t do anything about it. Very cute, but I highly doubt spark is possible there. I really love Phuwin and I truly think he has chemistry with almost everyone, but I’ve never seen him emit any passion with girls. Even when he played prostitute and there was a hot het scene, there was still no spark, but when he flirted with Dunk during live all was intact for some reason haha

I only after listening to many of his interviews about his preferences in relationships in real life understood why it is like that. When he said that he doesn’t want to take the wheel, that he wants someone who will take care of him thoroughly and spoil him, I was immediately like “yeah yeah it is very much seen, Phuwin” lol

Personally I think he’s a good actor (I know MDL ppl disagree, but I really think he is), but sexual chemistry to me was never connected to acting, I mean if you don’t have it with someone, it won’t appear no matter how hard you try. So that’s how I feel when I watch him with some people.

But I mostly asked bc maybe in the comic there was also no spark, maybe they are just cute and that’s it. I mean ships like this also exist. She did compare him to “simplicity” while White was the “all-consuming love” in the previous episode, maybe there’s not supposed to be any spark. Then all the vibes might be correct and this is just not my type of romance.

I’ll for sure check if there’s a peach in home. If I have a peach at home.. someone create a good joke about Peach in Home 🤣

I love Scooby Doo and Ghostbusters vibes as it is without any romance, but I for sure wouldn’t mind if it was not a BL like Midnight Museum “wasn’t” a BL lol Or like in Gifted Pang & Wave “aren’t” a BL.

I just think most ppl aren’t big fans of characters like this. So far he’s only running away from his problems and very meh. As Phuwin himself trolled him I don’t think anyone would be fond of someone who’d rather run and hide and lie than tell honestly how they feel. That’s not a nice trait. And ink one likes a doormat. So it’s not that surprising that most are more fond of White who is very honest in his feelings, “no regrets” type.

But if you meant “being team White” as in wanting him to stay with Star than it’s probably a no from me personally tbh bc I don’t like her that much either haha

Character growth means a lot to ppl too tho, so who knows maybe he will change a lot. After all White did say he reminded him of himself in the past. This should come back somehow I think. I’m truly wondering if he also becomes brave or they will be the opposite sides of the same coin. Last ep Lune was super unattractive tho, everyone agreed unanimously lol

But to me Puppy love is like Stiles & Lydia from Teen Wolf or Summer & Seth from OC. Those kind of vibes. Usually it’s still balanced somehow. But here I just can’t help and see two deers in headlights and it’s super funny to me 🤣 but yeah we’ll see how it goes lol

I’m sorry, I’m probably gonna be bashed for this but Lune and Star together for me personally give off the vibe of two scared bunnies lol.

I’ve felt this for a while, but esp after Phuwin’s epic speech about him wanting to be a pillow princess and if he’s gonna be in a relationship irl he wants someone who spoils and pampers him, I finally realised that this energy that he’s emitting (probably unintentionally) constantly comes through in his characters and I just can’t help and seek for someone who will cocoon him and keep him safe.

After seeing him being bullied and all that sequence of White protecting him near his house and Lune’s crying looking at him full of relief and pure happiness face after, and his smile after he caught the paper, I’m like it doesn’t have to be White necessarily, but can we get him someone with this energy lol

I know it’s all Phuwin’s fault, but he just really can’t hide this vibe of his. I mean, fr he looks like a homeless kitten every episode with those boba eyes, “someone hold me” and Star is the same lol. Last scene on the roof had just zero romantic energy, even though we should feel like “oh the culmination, he can’t hide and fight his feelings anymore”. Instead it’s like two lost scared bunnies hugging eo with no romantic energy at all lmao

Was is the same vibe in the comics or there was a miscast maybe? I’m really curious those who’ve read, tell me what their relationships are like there, bc I just cannot see it at all. Even Ivy’s energy would fit him better even tho she’s not interested at all. But then again that’s why imo Ivy and Star would be a good match aka “sunshine, sunshine protector” vibes.

I really do not understand what you’re talking about, bc any show with assembly cast has a poster with all of them together. It would be really bizarre if “Friends” poster would be Ross & Rachel in the front and everyone else in the back. You can check “We Are” poster too.

GMM knew very well what they were doing here. And I know for a fact that it’s not unintentional, bc recently they specifically changed Kidnap title to more romantic one so it wouldn’t mislead ON delulu. So giving the show title “Trainee. Can I love you (my Phi specifically)?” is not nice in my opinion. It’s really not a show about Ryan’s love story with his Phi. They shouldn’t have given it this title in the first place then.

For me specifically those things rarely matter, bc I watch all the different things of different genres and I don’t pick specific type of shows tbh (at times I even like when I get something unexpected instead), but many people do pick specifically what kind of show they want to watch and I get why you would be upset if you hoped to watch a romcom but get a documentary instead for example. This is just really not nice. I’m sure there are a bunch of people who tunes in every week to see JaneRyan and each time are left with almost nothing. In some situations I do say “your expectations are your own problem”, but in this specific case it’s really not. No need to gaslight yourself.

The title, the poster and the trailer should’ve been different. “Trainees” is a r perfect title for it and all the trainees should be on the same level upfront in that case. No need to catfish it as a romantically driven show.

The screen time is not shared by all characters evenly, Bahmee gets the majority of it. Pie we almost do not see at all tbh.

The poster has Offgun front and center and everyone else on the background. Assemble cast shows don’t do this. The trailer also was mainly focused on Offgun. It simply GMM trying to use the fandom and make them watch the show. It doesn’t really matter that the show is good (I still think it’s really good fr), it’s just the fact that they mislead ppl.

You’re not at all hearing what I’m saying. Usually people who don’t talk their feelings out, don’t get involved in conflicts and don’t try in general, get nothing. It’s good that the girl he likes confessed to him and that White got him in one group with her in the first place. It works in a comic for teens okay, I won’t argue with that, but fr people who do nothing, get nothing. It’s just his life works. Nothing wrong tho with you liking him being uninvolved (or as you say “trying to survive”) and getting everything. Jane and Ryan really steal the show, I’m having the 2nd lead couple syndrome… Wait, it was supposed to be their show 🤣💀

I take back what I said before, so little time makes zero sense to me. I thought once they were done with Bamhee we will be able to finally move one to Ryan and Jane, but each episode they continue with Bamhee and it seems like in the next episode they still continue with this. Maybe initially someone got it wrong, idk why it says here that they are mains and Bamhee is supportive, screen time says otherwise for sure, I actually decided to check it for fun. It’s a good written/shot show, but the promo is misleading. Maybe they should’ve called it “TraineeS” at least and didn’t promote it as BL. BL is a bit different from a show with BL elements. If you combine JaneRyan scenes altogether it’s gonna be hardly a one 40-minutes episode.

The show’s quality is good but again it’s just not what anyone thought it would be. And I’m a bit confused why they did that. Is it bc they thought no one would tune in if they said the truth? I’m very confused with GMM lately tbh. I understand the strategy here, but viewers are also people. I mean, I don’t regret watching this at all, but why can’t they just sell things for what they are?

Also idk if I’m alone in this but I don’t actually think that Bamhee is in love with Judy. I think she just met the first person who gave her some attention and after not getting any and it being her insecurity, she just jumped the first person who took a bit care of her. And now she’s confusing it with a crush. Like I really don’t see what gl romance people are talking about, she needs to sort herself out first, this whole thing is not romantic at all. She won’t be able to start a new healthy relationship now.

Jane going down (I said what I said lol) on Ryan every episode makes my brain go to dirty places, especially with him saying “be a good boy and I’ll show you” 🌚 And his calm voice is very hot. That’s all. I wish the show was about them, I really enjoy their scenes so much. I get why they always end the episode with them as a dessert but it’s a crime.

In conclusion I don’t feel like they’re useless scenes there, all character’s communications are great and their closure to things are very nice, but I still do not get why would they make such a confusing thing. I wouldn’t have any complaints if they redid the poster and promotion for what it is. But since they lied again, I think it’s valid that many people would be pissed. I tried to protect it two episodes ago, bc it’s completely okay to give other characters one-two episodes of being able to shine, I have zero problems with that, but not a whole show lol

GMM, you are weird this year

Ngl the level of intensity was not on the level that I created in my mind. But my imagination really always goes overboard and things rarely can keep up. The trailer was fine for me, it didn’t kill my hype, but didn’t make it bigger either. I’m excited to see how it’ll go.

I’m that weirdo who didn’t care for BB, but also Ohm’s solo projects like 10 years ticket and Double Savage also gave me zero emotional investment, so I’ve never been into all of this Ohm Pawat hype sadly and I’m just hoping here that maybe OhmLeng pairing will sway me idk. I’m curious if it will work for me or not.

I’m also kinda hoping this will finally break this absolute snooze fest that GMM has been having this year. The only thing I’m enjoying from them this year is Trainee, but despite loving it, it’s still way too tame for my liking. I hope with Kidnap, then Pluto, then The Heart Killers we will finally maybe enter the era of more intense things with actual plots, bc that’s the type of shows that I prefer the most. Bring me the all the fire emotions pls.

Oh I get your point very well, but it’s more about views on life than being bias. in the past when all of that happened from what we saw (many the will show more next time) he seems to just drop his previews gf bc he was scared and he didn’t do anything to fight (I don’t mean physically) his traitor friend, he just accepted all that, same he did when he moved. of it wasn’t for white nothing in his life would’ve changed and he wouldn’t get close to star either. For your life view he does enough, imo he floats in life and doesn’t go anything basically. I just do not like these types of people. Although that is the majority of population lol. It’s kinda like being team Wei Wuxian and team Jiang Chen. I get both, but I will never be team second one lol

About shipping, it’s also not about BL, when straight ship is my type I’m all for it, idk how this will go obviously but it’s seen already that with Star it’s exactly how the show itself described it, it’s “simple and comfy”, but it doesn’t make him grow much and doesn’t add any challenge. 100%, if you watch it for what it is it’s just super boring, plus Star doesn’t add anything to Lune, she only pampers him, it’s White who pushes him to become a better version of himself :) Ivy same as Lune sees Star for her real self, so if that’s all that she needs then they’re exchangeable lolz
