I realized that ALP is quite special and polarized. Viewers either love it a lot or drops it quickly. When I have nothing to watch, I still re-watch some episodes. First time watching I liked the 2nd and 3 part of the drama more. But I found the first part (first 15 eps) more intereting while rewatching the drama

I agree with you about adaption of lengthy novel/story. With regard Shen Yin and The Last Immortals, 32 episodes should be enough to adapt the content of Shen Yin on screen. They wanted to take the most of out the rule since they have a female star (Zhao Lusi) in the drama. The more episodes, the more money/profit. There are a lot of draggy content which didn't come from the original novel context. Those episodes (13-19) could be skipped and the overall drama would be much better

Feng Yin was alive. Yuanqi died, his soul was dispersed. However, a piece of his soul was embeded inside the Fire Phoenix Jade. Then Xuan Yi (the ghost God - here is Ming Qi) made that piece of soul alive. It took 1000 years for him to resurrect. Then they lived together and had a daughter. However, the plot now is quite modified. Ming Qi seems to be more evil than Xuan Yi. I don't know how the drama will end
