It’s rare for a series to be so faithful to the novel (except for the "NC" scenes, lol).I hope you finally…
That part 👆🏽
They’ll learn soon enough, though… unless they drop it too early. That would be unfortunate because the story really is a good one full of all kinds of emotions. I loved the novel, which I binge-read over a weekend, between adulting (boo👎🏽).
My Heart Actually Breaks for An’an 💔Is it just me, or am I the only one who genuinely feels sorry for An’an?…
Hello my friend! I agree with you 100%. I posted something similar about her today, as well. An’an doesn’t deserve what she’s being dished. I love her personality (and I love who the director cast for the role; fits her character’s vibe so well). She genuinely makes me smile when she’s on screen. It’s crazy that in a BL, I want MORE scenes with a female character rather than less… who would have thought?
(Just thinking- you may want to put a spoiler warning for the “uninitiated” future viewers. 🥰 )
Finished episode 4 and I'm a bit sad they didn't have any NC scenes in the last 2 episodes. Considering the actors…
They’ve kept the drama pretty clean imo. Even the NC scenes feel as though they’re trying not to give anything for viewers to imagine. The novel is more…explicit. I bought mine on Amazon and read it over the weekend after last week’s episodes.
Yeah it’s a drop for me. Those lines from the sister at the start of episode 4… Shen Mo’s initial thought…
Your take is from a misunderstanding of the plot. It will all make sense in future episodes, though, there are hints through what has been released to date. (These hints will become obvious later.) Granted, some of Ji’s words and actions are…questionable…but they do make sense in the future under the lens of him being a real human with real emotions. I will say no more otherwise I’ll be giving a spoiler. -from one of the novel readers 🩷
How is the rating at 7.9 with only a handful of episodes out? Some of you are too brutal. There are FOURTY-SEVEN episodes to this… Seems a bit premature, in my opinion.
I am shaking with rage, I need more violence, that punch was not enough! Shen Mo is already so tiny and that big…
That’s all that’s in the novel. There were significantly more people around, though. But I agree, bro should have hit him a few more times. And a good kick or 10 to the vitals to tidy it all up nicely.
I really love it when a drama follows the source material closely. 🥰
Despite the platonic “kisses”, and some continuity issues (no clothes readjusting and the bandaid appearing, disappearing, then reappearing again, for example), the story has me anticipating each episode. I really like An’an’s bubbly personality. I wish Zhou Yang wasn’t such a selfish douchebag to the bitter end. (His half brother is no good either. Matter of fact, trash the whole Zhou clan.) I wish that things were a bit different for her in the end. I love the relationship she builds so quickly and effortlessly with Shen Mo. She brings some brightness to him and takes him a bit out of his head.
This series was kind of strange. Even though I liked their chemistry, the story line just didn't get me at all.…
Same.
My JBL crack is Takara-kun & Amagi-kun. I loved it so much that I bought all the volumes from a Japanese bookstore- it’s only in Japanese so I’ve been slowly translating the books. Only MDL knows how many times I visit.
