2 minutes later : Oops.. here we go! 🤣
Lmao I know its a trash drama but is so fuckin' entertaining. I can't 🤣🤣 I will still watch ep 3 with the same enthusiasm 😂😂
I came in with literally zero expectations, but I am impressed and hooked!
Honestly I don't even think Tennis and guitar played a huge role in character development. Like why so much focus on that.
But all in all this was meh...
And I agree with this >> No amount of pretty poetic narration done by Hee Su will convince me he got the proper treatment as the main lead of the story.
Though I enjoyed the petty narration, they just robbed us of a good chemistry and story !
Watching this drama was like chasing a mirage, the closer I got, the more it faded into nothing!
If I had to retitle this story, it would be "Chan Young and his love story in Class 2...featuring Heesu" because that's honestly what it felt like most of the time. The supposed main characters were treated like glorified side characters, popping in and out of the plot as if the writers themselves forgot they existed.
Overall this was like a beautifully wrapped gift, the one that promised so much but left me standing there with nothing but disappointment. The pacing dragged, the main relationship was sidelined and the emotional payoff I waited for never truly arrived.
Was it disappointing? Without question.
Was it occasionally endearing enough to make you hope for more? Frustratingly, yes.

And I agree with the initial episode awkwardness. Like the ML didn't understand the word 'boundary'.
Lol but it was a simple office romance. I don't think I will rewatch it again tho.
I thought Si-eun’s hesitation made a lot of sense, considering everything he went through. He’s still dealing with depression, hasn’t moved on, and lives with a mother who constantly reminds him of what happened. So it felt natural for him to hesitate before taking that pen out again.
And I haven’t seen it yet. I think I definitely need to! Thank you for the recommendation. ❤️
I completely agree about the acting—it was stellar!
I also feel like the 'weak hero' trope was less exploited this time. They focused more on him dealing with the aftermath of everything that happened. He became more cautious with both his words and actions. That pen only came out as a last resort! 😅
But overall, it was incredibly entertaining!
The ending did feel like it was left open-ended, so we'll have to see what happens next. Maybe in season 3, they could be in college or something. 😂
Thank you for reading my review! It's always a pleasure to chat about dramas with you! ♥️
I’m glad we cleared that up! 🤝
Looking forward to discussing another drama where our opinions align! Lmao
Peace!
"Take it elsewhere" did feel rude to me considering we haven’t interacted before, your reply didn’t feel like lighthearted banter. It came across more like a jibe, which felt unnecessary. Adding "haha" doesn’t change that, lmao !
Have a good day!
S02 felt like the gang who pushes you to your "friend" and you introduce them to him. Cue the last scene 😁
Thank you Cheon-ssi! ♥️🫡 And for the flower too!
As for the development, given they only had 8 episodes and so much to cover, plus the main plot not focusing on their friendship, I think the drama did a good job. All of them stood by each other when it mattered most and in the bigger picture, that was enough for me. :)
The friendships between the fantastic 4 did it for me ig 😁
A story of survival with four musketeers and a big bad wolf in the shadows!
This season goes way beyond brains versus brawn , it was personal, way more messier and more human.
It dives into personal, messy, and deeply human struggles. Si-eun’s journey shifts from outsmarting bullies to surviving his own grief, unraveling quietly as he battles his inner demons.
The “Fantastic Four” brought the much-needed comfort, offering simple moments of genuine friendship that make everything feel less bleak.
The new characters were solid, especially Park Hu-min, Seo Jun-tae, and Ko Hyeon-tak, who brought depth to their roles. While the antagonists lacked depth, the season still hit hard. Despite a few flaws, it was just as impactful as the first.
