Also just noticed 593rd review 😲 Wow 👏🏻🔥
The whole ghost-hunting with food concept sounded unhinged in theory, but it came together surprisingly well. It gave just the right amount of silly and sincere. Not exactly horror, but there were a couple of jump scares that got me.(Well I am scared easily)
The anthology kind of storytelling worked for me here. Each ghost case had its own flavor and brought something fresh to the table. Some wholesome, some chaotic but most of them really interesting. The episodic setup really helped keep it engaging, especially with my goldfish-level attention span lately.
The humor mostly hit, though there were moments where it tried a bit too hard. Still, it leaned more “funny haha” than “cringey weird,” so no real complaints.
All the cameos in the episodes were spot on. The character dynamics, especially the banter, carried everything. Home and Peach were basically Tay and New coded. Their banter, the subtle (and not so subtle) care they show for each other… it was all very endearing. And honestly, I didn’t even miss the romance.
If there was one criticism, it was the family drama arc in the last few episodes. Felt like it hijacked the whole vibe and pushed the ghost-hunting part to the backseat which was the heart of the show.
Overall, it was light, and easy to binge. Didn’t take itself too seriously, had just enough heart and gave me characters I would happily root for any day. Absolute serotonin boost.
100% recommended !
I’m not completely sold yet, but I am definitely intrigued. All four leads have something going on, and I am curious to see where it is headed.
Wu Suo Wei is super crafty, but I have a feeling Chi Cheng isn’t as naive as it seems. I really enjoy the dynamic between Jiang Xiao Shuai and Suo Wei. Lol it honestly feels like the blind leading the blind 😂
And Xiao Shuai clearly got his own demon to deal with. I am interested in his love story too!😅
So far it’s been pretty light, but I am weirdly excited for the next episodes. Also a 24 episode Chinese BL with 40 minute episodes? Lol I must be dreaming!
It was hard for me to defend ML's action considering the repetitive nature of it!
That child deserved better ! Period.
Lol I wanted to write a review too but this is what exactly i wanted to say. You have said very elaborately. :))
Re : Michelin stars >> Lmao I didn't know this. I just googled it. Thank you so much for pointing it out. I corrected it. Lol I just wrote the title sarcastically 🙈
And I hope all the cast get a good drama because they can definitely act !
Honestly, when it comes to kdramas, I don't expect originality but even if you are adapting the cliche tropes make it right. Here the actors were really good but somehow nothing worked for me.
But I hope if you decide to continue, you enjoy the drama more than me ♥️
Edit : Done lol
But glad you enjoyed ♥️ you should watch Secrets happened on litchi island. It's short and another gem from china!

But I totally get where you're coming from with the 8 😁 Honestly, an 8 is a solid rating especially coming from you! 🤣
Also, a really well-written review, Ma'am! ❤️
I read yours too and it is really good and very detailed without spoiling anything. Lol I wanted to give it a 6 too but it felt too much for this ... 🙈
But yes I do see alot of potential in their chemistry and hope GMM TV does give them a decent script! :))
Thank you for reading my review ❤️
The first 4 eps layed the ground work for a romcom well but then bammmm!!
A very good and detailed review, Cheon! 💯
The problem here was how they were trying to insert so many new arcs without properly developing the ongoing.
But alas !
7.5-8 /10 - Based on entertainment factor
The premise of this drama involved secret agents, shady odd jobs and conflicting loyalties when tested. Initially, I thought this would be one of those spy series where the hunter falls for the prey. But this was an unapologetically sappy love story wrapped in a slightly unhinged espionage plot.
I was expecting "mission impossible" vibes but make it a BL, but what I got was "mission emotionally compromised".
The above is not technically a complaint because the drama made it clear in episode 1 what it wanted to be.

Like I found them a bit hallow. If I remove other supporting arcs , their individual arc doens't gave me much. But again, I was looking from a different POV.
But a fun one time watch! 😅🙌🏻
