This failed to live up to expectations, with a central plot of love story between AI and human that felt poorly executed.
One of the major issues for me was the Ever 4's (robot character) emotional development. From the get-go, him as an AI seems to have an overwhelming amount of emotions, which felt unnatural and forced.
The romance between Ever 4 and Luo Bu Shi lacked depth though it was spicy at times. The second couple couldn't do much either!
Overall, the series was disappointing.

But so a light watch , I did like it overall.
✨ This is one of those dramas that you watch for relaxing or while eating not for the plot but the overall vibes. There is nothing deeply "poetic" about it but somehow it manages to cheer me up. (So far)
✨ Surprisingly I like both the ML and FL equally. Like he is a loser and so is she, with second hand embarrassment here and there but they are both cute together. Lmao!
✨ The episode titles with herb names was such a good idea to fit the context. Somehow very metaphorical and fits the whole mood. It's a small detail but you can see a lot of thought has been put into it.
Not sure if 28 episode is bit much (we will see) but so far it is very entertaining and serving as a light romcom I was looking for.
Great review! ❤️
This is cute and everything, but it’s pretty much the same stuff I have seen before. It follows all the typical tropes, so while it's fun to watch, there is nothing to run home about.

✅ Their chemistry is comfortable and cute! Dr.He trying to court Xi Fan is simply too charming. Lmao the way he tries really hard and then just let's it go... 😅
✅ Also the intro is really nice. I liked the animated style!
Hope it stays this way! 🤞🏻
✅ Light Shop is a story about those who are lost and overlooked, each character trapped in their own personal struggles and torment. The characters are trapped in a constant cycle of despair, overwhelmed by their inner demons and unable to break free from the darkness surrounding them. They are caught in a state of isolation where their cries for help go unheard and there is no one to offer them comfort or understanding.
The story delves into the complexity of their experiences, revealing how deeply their emotional pain impacts their ability to connect with others. At its core, it is just a tale of loneliness, isolation and internal conflict.
✅ For me, this had a totally fresh storyline that felt different from what I usually watch. It took me down a path I didn’t expect, diving into some pretty heavy emotional stuff. The acting was solid across the board and each character’s pain really came through. Honestly, I was on the edge of my seat until the very end.
⚠️ I wish the flow of the story had been a bit more smoother. While I understand the artistic choice behind the fragmented style where the story was meant to come together later or as we go on, I can't help but feel that a more continuous narrative would have made it feel more cohesive and have a better impact.
⚠️ This wasn’t really binge-worthy for me. I’m not a fan of the horror or eerie atmosphere series, so it was tough to watch in one sitting. It also felt quite heavy and honestly, I found it more sad than scary.
Thank you, Ari and Cho Na, for this informative and comprehensive article! ❤️
I also wish they had like 1 or 2 more episodes to wind this up because the chemistry was there all along.
But I still enjoyed it because I was kinda expecting the sort of pace😅 honestly I true rating would be 8-8.5 but the way I kept coming back to this drama with whole analysis made me give it 9 🤣 so I understand where you are coming from too with 7
When it rains, it pours , washing away doubts but leaving behind a storm of desire!
At the heart of this drama is an exploration of longing, love and the complex emotions that arise when loyalty is questioned. The story is an emotional journey of Hagiwara and Nakarai who navigate their changing feelings towards each other while each being in a complicated relationship where neglect and denial have the front seat. In 7 episodes it somehow manages to explore the grey areas where desires conflict with rationality and norms and also focuses on the delicate balance between self-preservation and vulnerability in the right place, to the right people.
Infidelity, here it was an expression of emotional turbulence and crisis that stemmed from being disregarded for too long. It felt like a cry for recognition, for understanding. There is something beautifully tragic in how one person seeks solace in the arms of another, not out of malice, but out of a desperate need to be seen, to feel valued in a world that seems to disregard their worth.

Honestly, This was just not it!
Started out decent but lost all subtlety and just became awkward, over-the-top and entirely uncomfortable at times!
The comedy was painfully crass and relentlessly horny. It felt like they were trying way too hard, throwing in cheap jokes that were more embarrassing than funny.
