Never heard of a CYW, and I don't like this casting.

Replacing a 39 year old with a 24 year old is such ageist bullsh*t casting.
Lee Chang Min will too one day suffer getting turned down for roles for Younger Actors...

Unless they change their mind and decide to cast a 30s actor as ML, I won't be watching.

List of great actors in their 30s:
Jung Hae In, Ji Chang Wook, Wi Ha Joon, Na In Woo, Choi Jin Hyuk, Yoon Shi Yoon, Lee Joon Gi, Kang Hae Neul, Lee Seung Gi, Woo Do Hwan, Lee Sang Yeob, Choi Tae Joon, Kim Jae Young, Yang Se Jong, Ahn Bo Hyun
hell even Lee Min Ho and Kim Woo Bin have improved and become good these days.

Heck even some 40s actors could do since original actor was nearly 40 (39):
Kim Nam Gil, Go Soo, So Ji Sub, Nam Goong Min, Uhm Tae Goo


Now Producers go pick any one of THOSE INSTEAD PLEASE.

And viewers loose out on great acting....


It would be even better for the young actors to first play many supporting roles to level up their acting skill. That way they'll have a bunch of people admiring their acting in the future vs haters disliking them getting cast for popualrity/looks/youth and delulu stans defending poor acting.

But wait a minute now, GSR turned it down because "Busy schedule", meanwhile she has NO upcoming projects announced (Only a lame project with support role which apparantly is cancelled)

....So either we are about to hear news about another casting for her, or she just didn't like the script or something and made an excuse lol

Hopepully script isn't bad (now I'm a bit worried) and she'll have a casting announcement soon, that or a bad sense for good scripts lol

Following The hatred any drama attemping anything remotely different (TFP2, SG2 and now this) vs easily digestible average typical romances - I expect late 2025, early 2026 onwards we'll just get Typical Kdramas.

There's no point in watching anymore new dramas, anything Remotely Fresh closeminded shallow Kdrama fans will loathe - Looks like Time to go Back to only REWATCHING Kdramas I already know are good, new dramas will just keep Repeating plots like

we didn't JUST SPEND ALL 2024 STUCK WITH DRAMAS REPEATING "CHILDHOOD CONNECTION/BACK TO HOMETOWN/RETURN TO EX" TROPE of 90% of all Romance dramas!!!
.....only for you all to go "WE WANT MORE OF THAT! UNIQUE PLOTS SUCK!!"


or "OMG WHY Leads are single with no rel experience into their 30s-40s"

then when this drama introduces other partners before them, showing them sleeping together before they get together with leads "No no no, they must STAY with them then, sleeping with them/Or just because they're with them FIRST is LIFE commitment don't you know anything else is Cheating!"

FL is too alien creepy looking (too much plastic surgery?),
would be better if the much better looking Zhang Ya Qin was the FL.

You must watch him then in SQ2, the man was Always Smiling, while doing Evil things LMAO 😅

Then consider me conflicted. I can see Both work just as well with Lee Jun Ho. 😅. Pick whoever of the two.

I already do. I skip the Flowerboy Romances and watch Older Lead Kdrama Romances (30s -50s leads) like One Spring Night, Mad For Each Other, On The Way To The Airport, Dinner Mate, Secret, Tell Me You Love Me, My Name Is Kim Sam Soon, When The Stars Gossip, etc.
+ Spanish Telenovelas and Turkish dramas tend to have older leads, I watch those also.


My problem in THIS CASE HERE, is Originally they cast a Non-flowerboy older ML, now they've downgraded


....I also don't like PSH after he posted creepy Rape-Porn pic, but why couldn't they have Found SOMEONE OLDER AS ML REPLACEMENT?!? 🤦‍♀️

This feels like a downgrading....

Healer - Action Romance

Mad For Each Other - Psychological healing romance. The most realistic Mental Health themed drama. Far from typical pure romance. Pure Romance fans Hated this drama and found the realistic psychology in it off-putting.

Happiness - zombie, romance

Vincenzo - Action romance

The Atypical Family - Superhero, Psycological healing

A Love To Kill - Revenge Rom

I'm Sorry I Love You - Revenge Rom

Marry My Husband - Revenge Rom

Secret - Revenge Rom

The Last Empress - Revenge Rom

Archeology/Historical Thai Lakorns - a mix of melo, romance and often revenge in historical setting

Love Shuffle - Dark Comedy psychological, only a Romcom on surface, but I guess you got to judge a drama as just a Typical Romcom based on its title

Be Melodramatic - Not a romance, mainly a slice of life, Raw Psychological healing, sismance over the romances

Live Up to Your Name - Timetravel Rom

Will Love In Spring - Psychological, Death-themed, far from typical romance, 10/10 writing that has more depth than on the surface more unique plot dramas

Also I'm semi-liking When The Stars Gossip. sofar(not enough eps have aired) unlike most people on this site who only like Typical Copypaste Romcoms, can't get more interesting unique new dramas because of these people....

etc.


Psychogical healing with indepth writing that makes you think about life, Revenge, Action, Superhero, Fantasy, Archeology/Adventure -Rom is boring to you?


Take not that some "pure romance" dramas I watched In between/Happy Filler dramas is for healing after too melodramatic dramas, they're not serious dramas, I rate them purely on Entertainment value, not quality.
Mostly I don't prefer pure romance, it works better with action, revenge or fantasy, not sure what you're on about lol

One Spring Night might be the only Pure Romance drama I like.


Also medical is boring, not even enjoyable as in between/filler dramas lol

Not for me. I have to at least find the ML somewhat attractive in order to ship him with FL.

I don't think I've ever seem Gong Yoo play a villain role before, it was highly refreshing seeing him play a Smiling no matter what psycho salesman lol

for FL.
Not keen on FL either though.

It's sad cause I like the combination of Food + Timetravel themes....Really hoping they'll change Both leads....
