Modern feminists want to uglify everything. They hate femininity and beauty, I guess it's a threat to them. In…
Danger by whose hand? Oh that's right, BY OTHER MEN. The problem is men and their violence.
Actual feminism favors BOTH men & women, and isn't reverse-sexism. If men in those countries where to embrace feminism which favors ALSO them, rather than listen to violent rhetoric. The issue is suppression of emotion. It's an epidemic here. Men who see feelings as weakness to be never expressed end up expressing them later instead through violence....Feminism, ACTUAL FEMINISM (not reverse-sexism they confuse with feminism) favors THERAPHY and HEALING for men, so they can also benefit from it, problem is they resist feminism, not realizing embracing feminism is good for men too....
Modern feminists want to uglify everything. They hate femininity and beauty, I guess it's a threat to them. In…
In what part of the world do women have better rights than men lmao, just today I read about YET ANOTHER femicide commited in one of the most feminist countries in the world with supposedly some of the most feminist men too (I speak of the Nordics in Europe).....If one of the world's most feminist countries have high amount women in constant danger because of men, how is it in other places?!?....Can the claim to have more rights be made when one is nonstop in danger from the other gender and its nonstop violence.... hmmm....Modern feminism is women just wanting to be SAFE (and as such is very much STILL NEEDED). Any claims otherwise is delusional and reeks of listening to delulu incels who never talk to actual women about ACTUAL FEMINISM and not Reverse-Sexism that they think is feminism.....
"Oh no!What's next? They're going to put immigrants and gays in my beloved K-dramas?😭 How will I cope? Damn…
I just found out too, that some people apparantly only watch asian dramas for bigoted reasons. To not see gays or only see whiteish people. 🙄
A US remake would be problematic in many ways, a wider represtationtation of people is NOT the problem.
Maybe people should focus on actual problems like american shows too focused on thrills and action with shallow dialogues over deeper writing 😅 THAT is a concern....
There's a reason most people prefer UK production & accents for Fantasy adaptions of books. There is a gracefullness missing in the US culture that fits the Elfs, fairies & royalties.....
For similar reason, they'd be better of making Remakes of Kdramas with UK/any European country actually if they absolutely insist on making Western remakes. The gentle leness & gracefullness in kdrama just doesn't translate to american culture.
Europe and Asia very different cultures (even between various countries in each continenent), yet shared a certain gracefullness that USA does not have.
Make UK/EU remakes or how about OTT platforms just start distributing Turkish remakes of kdramas and US shows -they're better than others at remakes because they actually bother with perfection on all aspects.
Or even better: BE ORIGINAL AND DON'T MAKE REMAKES. or Invest fully in cast & writing & all aspects for some RARE remakes once every BLUE MOON ONLY.
It's generally a very bad idea to make remakes, especially of very beloved shows with lots of fans. 90% of the time they don't get it right, and it's not even the same without the original cast or the original writing&directing team.
There are RARE exceptions, such as when Turkey remade the American tv series The O.C. The turkish version "Medcezir" even won awards if I remember correctly, they cast some of the most famous or talented rising turkish actors, clearly chemistrytested the whole cast together before going ahead and had invested in good screenwriters, good directing, and had beautiful landscapes and sets. Show looks graceful and tasteful and not cheap and shallow. They even fixed some writing flaws/cheap plot twists of the original. I liked the original, I liked Medcezir slightly more.
Compare this to Thailand's pathetic remake of The O.C.: Awful casting with uknown and plain BAD actors and no chemistry, Awful writing that made the whole show looks like some cheap Kardashian Family/Real Housewives style sh*t 😅🤦♀️.....Low budget and cheaplooking wasn't the worst thing....
Or Charmed version 2 or Gossip Girl version 2 where they went ahead with the most mediocre cast possible lacking "charm", add mediocre screenwriters too and low budget.
....What we can learn from this is unless you 200% invest in ALL ASPECTS of the remake, cast, writing, directing, sets, -ESPECIALLY CAST & WRITING has to be 500% TOP NOTCH - DON'T MAKE A REMAKE. EVER.
....Also I don't believe USA can remake any show from other countries, especially not asian crountries that have a certain GRACEFULLNESS that's missing in the american culture, an american version will just come across CRINGE.
"CEO Jang analyzed, "The domestic drama market will shift from a competition in quantity to a competition in quality content," and revealed plans to "take this as an opportunity to improve the quality of K-dramas by focusing on good [script] materials, direction, and acting. We also plan to increase projects that boldly employ new creators and rising actors."
".Jang Kyung Ik, CEO of Studio Dragon, stressed, "We need to find new business models. Simply cutting production costs isn't the solution. What's more important is creating 'well-made' works." "
.....FINALLY someone gets it. Korea can't just keep on pushing out MEDIOCRE WORK AFTER MEDICORE WORK, as if only quantitity matterered!
These days so few Truly good dramas each year, most dramas end up disapponting. MOST OF THE TIME THE SCREEN WRITER IS AN INCOMPETENT BASTARD WHO ENDS UP RUINING DRAMAS. Especially the high cost high CGI ones are very lacking in the good writing part.
I HOPE THIS CEO ISN'T JUST ALL TALK, AND WILL ACTUALLY PUSH FOR BETTER HIGH QUALITY WRITING FOR DRAMAS.
There's only so much mediocrity one can take, before it feels more fullfilling to just rewatch good old Dramas than bother starting with the new ones....
And -I- know for a FACT that YOU have a disease about comprehension and anxiety. You have all the signs. It's PTSD about not being seen enough in your childhood, so now you lash out at others with oulandish rumors to cope with your inner anxiety.
.....See how you cannot diagnose & jump to conclusion about other people.?!?
Seems basic logic and basic decency is lacking in some people.....
I don't know, judging by your comment, I think sometimes when you look in the mirror even the mirror cannot stand…
The stupidity bug has been caught by Dee, the commenter lacking self-awareness projecting their flaws into others.
...Also who the f thinks ACTORS THEMSELVES WRITES ARTICLES on themselves?!? Much less on MDL, an ENGLISH-speaking site and most koreans have a kindergarten level of english skill....And even if they'd know english properly, once again, WHAT ACTORS WRITE ARTICLES ON THEMSELVES WTF?!?! Apparantly journalists, writers and artist's PR team does not exist..... Dee has no critical thinking skill whatsoever....
what else are you watching? judging from the comments I’ve seen of yours in the past I tend to like your recs…
Currently I'm also watching this, very good old Slice of life style romance (neither too romcom nor melo leaning so far, inbetween), set in a bakery! It's old, from 2005, gave it a 8.5 so far from just 3 eps, but would honesty give it already a 9 or even 10, but don't want to jinx it lol so refuse to give 10 before finishing it lol: https://kisskh.at/221-my-lovely-sam-soon
Planning on watching many darker & melodramas this autumn-winter, for example: The Judge from Hell, The Rational Life (trailer looked really good!;A mature romance, seems leans melo), City of Streamer, Come and Hug Me, Glass Slippers (2002), Call It Love, Snowfall, Love of the Aegean Sea (2004).
....but I realize I can't just watch depressing drama after depressing drama, lol 😅, need to pick up some romCOMEDIES too to heal myself inbetween, so will watch also more comedic: Welcome to Waikiki season 1 & 2 (loved s1 before! Need to watch s2 too! Maybe I'll rewatch s1 first), No Gain No Love.
Soon done with these two very healing shows: Total filler Fluff, not technically that good but highly entertaining, Plus the Director character of the Musical in the drama is so heartwarming with his students/actors, it's making the show!: https://kisskh.at/1445-heartstrings
J dating show with older singles aged 35+, some are like 60! Very wholesome to watch older people date. Peaceful villa setting.: https://kisskh.at/739099-love-village
But soon I've finished Love Village and Heartstrings. 😭.....So need to find a more fluffy fun show s to watch next beside all the melos I'm going to watch.... I'm thinking "So I Married An Antifan." Reviews aren't good or mixed bad with good. But I'm totally in the mood for a bickering pairing that hates each other lol. Plus trailer & plot made it sound entertaining. Star+his anti moving in together because they agree to star in a variety show of a star+his anti living together, lol what can possibly go wrong 🙃😅 Waikiki s1&2 after it. Oh and will watch No Gain No Love too after, seems like a fun comedy.
Already deciding on what romCOMS to watch for self-Healing after this one lol which will surely be filled with angst and who knows if even happy ending!
Finally had the time to watch ep 1. Supercute pairing! Also surprising comedy/romcom elements in ep1, them both entering to apply to the same job, the café people Shipping them lol
Now looking forward to the next eps! Bring on the angst! 😍
I also wish they'll meet the nice café people again, if only briefly, I got attached to them too lol!

Maybe take the hint and DON'T MAKE A REMAKE that's just going to flop and have tons of antis....
A US remake would be problematic in many ways, a wider represtationtation of people is NOT the problem.

they'd be much better off making KDRAMA remakes of American Shows, and NOT the other way around.

I thought this was going to talk about just a remake and justify it in cringe ways😅, but this turns out to have been a very interesting read instead.
MDL is a place where VERY BASIC Logic, critical thinking and even basic decency does not exist.

Be less creepy next time, and don't expect anyone to tell your their diagnoses.
There's no need for something to be embarrasing to be kept private fyi.
