No, but they're not super heavy either. People wanting very heavy drama were dissapointed over those two lol. Very lite on the melo element actually if you compare with most melodramas.
The recommendations are making me fear this isnβt the cute romcom ai was hoping for. Of the recommendations,…
Nah I don't think this will be a too heavy melo style, based on what Jung Hae In Said before in an interview "My 1st romantic COMEDY. Not used the the style of acting, leaning on Jung So Min who has done more romcoms".
Trailer vibes more like One Spring Night indeed and Welcome to Samdarli.
But actually while she's not model good looking she's actually quite pretty in a natural way and not full of plastic surgery. Far from ugly. Koreans just prefer fake plastic people. π
right?.... like kdramas have fallen off so hard we used to get amazing shows every month and sometimes even 3-4shows…
I haven't watched Twinklin Watermelon or Penthouse yet.
But BOTH are written by 2 of my fav kdrama screenwriters though, however I'm probably too old for Twinklin Watermelon/Not its target audience and Penthouse I need to be in right mood to watch, knowing just how majkang melo that writer makes her dramas lol π I'll probably watch it during late-autumn winter season that really suits the mood of that drama....
right?.... like kdramas have fallen off so hard we used to get amazing shows every month and sometimes even 3-4shows…
Actually this spring-summer-Autumn has been very good. The Atypical Family, Will Love In Spring, Miss Night and Day, The 8 Show, Midnight Romance In Hagwon.... And lots of good dramas airing in Autumn-Winter season with good cast and interesting dramas slated for 2025.
Especially actually good Romance Romance dramas are FINALLY making a comeback in 2024. 2020-2023 was filled with only cringe romcoms, giving Romance genre kdramas a bad rep. π
Now Romance kdramas in 2024 are finally more mature with older cast or more mature themes or more melo-romcom than just silly romcom and or have a unique elemnt added to them like in Atypical Family and Miss Night And Day or are Hyper-reliastic mature romances ala Will Love In Spring.
I spent 2020-2023 mostly watching Thriller-Comedies or other genres or only very OLD romance kdramas, the romance was dry as saharah desert those years Lmao π π Only Decent romances were in No-romance kdramas ala Happiness and Vincenzo. π And even the OTHER genre kdramas/thrillers ended up disappointig me abit too. I Think Happiness, Vincenzo, One Day Off and Celebirity were the only dramas I really liked in whole of 2020-2023 LOL π π No 10 given to a single drama in all of 2020-2023 lol
.....HOWEVER NOWADAYS in 2020s the WAITING TIMES are ridiculous.πππ
I have a list of 300+ Upcoming dramas from 2023-2025, with only the "Airs soon/End of this year placed ntop of list and only ones I look forward to now, Rest of the dramas is better to forget they exist, because waiting for them is useless now. π π
Really now, not even One Spring Night with Han Ji Min??? π€¨π€―
It's not even a noona romance in the drama, their characters are even mentioned to be of SAME age there lol, which is actually believable. Their age difference really isn't felt if you watch the drama. I highly recommend you to watch even when not into noona rom.
I DID really feel the age gap w him and Son Ye Jin π But with Han Ji Min it's like it's not there. Maybe because Jung Hae In gives mature vibes and similar "thoughtful introvert" vibes as Han Ji Min, they are well matched and directing is wow. π₯° He is a great actor too, always plays well with other actors and has chem, and chemistry with Son Ye Jin despite them lookinga bit odd with the age gap lol. Han Ji Min he's the cutest with both having same similar vibes it's beautiful, IF Jung Hae In ever dates a costar irl one day wouldn't be surpised if it was her lol
....I hope they KEEP it this way from now on, ONLY done as WHOLE plot of dramas, and no longer inserted into other…
You misunderstood me, I said THIS drama too has most of plot Childhood connection, which is a GOOD thing!
I'm PRAISING This drama LOve Next Door and Will Love In Spring, Welcome to Samdarli for making it the whole/most of plot, and CRITISIZING the other dramas for adding it later as an annoying small subplot TROPE.
THIS is how it SHOULD be done. Either make it the WHOLE/Most drama right away and promote it like that or DON'T ADD IT AT ALL later as a dumb subplot/trope when the drama is about another thing/Sold as other plot!
You know what, I changed by mind. It would be good to send both him & the person who set it up (if it wasn't him), if ONLY to SEND A MESSAGE to other actors/ent agencies that this type of behaviour against the public is not ok & will lead to scandal.
I'd feel bad if it WASN'T his decision and he'd jailed, BUT ultimately it might even be good for him, in the scenario that maybe the agency FORCED him to travel despite his anxiety, in this way he'd be able to stop travelling and stick to only acting and no travel if he cannot handle it. Because the greedy agency would be FORCED to stop forcing him to travel to make money through fan meetings or other travel-requiring events, simply to preserve his good rep lol. ππ
Your're lucky then that lately Netflix took all the best ones

Love Next Door will likely be good too π₯°
Good for her that she found a new man after her unworthy (now ex- )husband cheated on her!
"The two met while the actress was having a hard time and this person comforted and got closer to her."
Sweet π₯°

2nd Pairing has their story here and then continued into their own spinoff drama to be aired right after this one.

May she be successful despite Korea's odd tastes.
They lost inspiration for naming dramas ????
