ML is a single father according to the latest article here on MDL. So beside the depression, eating dirsoders and sleep disorders, I suppose they'll also show a slightly controversial romance (controversial in korean society) of FL dating the ML.
Depression, eating disorder and insomnia shown in a kdrama will be interesting. Despite the fantastical elements/superpowers, I hope they show these irl problems realistically and accurately.
This drama with its flashback athmosphere and OST made me nostalgic for the 80s & my childhood, yet I wasn't even born yet then, and my childhood was later 😅
Well Done.
That Cho Jong Pil singer whose songs they made new versions of for the dramas OST is a good singer indeed. No wonder the makers of this drama are his fans and named ML after him, made OST after him and even mentioned him more than once in the drama.
Especially that "Short Hair" track has a very peculiar and memorable sound to it, gets stuck in your head. 😂
I know right. Guy really spent nearly 40 years in a onesided crush, and on his friend's girl too like 😅😅…
No. The FL & ML & Their whole friendgroup gang in the smalltown of Samdalri where they all grew up together, are all like 37 years of age IN PRESENT TIME. Then it flashes back to to their childhood (mostly to their teen years so played by JCW & SHS most flashbacks).
The 2ML just like ML, liked FL SINCE EARLY CHILDHOOD into their nearly 40 years of age present time. 😅
So rather than jump forward, it jumps BACKWARD in time with flashbacks. I usually dońt even like dramas with flashbacks, but here it was handled well with most flashbacks only at start of eps and in ending epilogues, and not all the time disrupting flow, like most flashback dramas do.
Just watch Death's Game instead if you want a good fantasy/unique plot drama released during this time.
GC was plagued by such boring writing, had to force myself to finish it. Won't be watching s 2.

Marry My Husband and Welcome to Samdalri are both Top dramas of 2024 for me.....conciendentaly this is exactly 10 years after Healer aired in 20214 LOL
You're probably just too young for this drama. There comes a point in life where age gaps begins to not matter at all...Usually you realize this when older, and suddenly those of us who where hard against young man/woman, for us it begins to not look so bad after all, despite being dead set against it before, and even preferring older before. 😂
I’m not worried at all that this age gap romance will have no chemistry .. because this is by director Ahn Pan…
Yes not only is he a great PDnim, but he somehow keeps casting some of my fav actors in every single drama of his lol. So I'm grateful for him for not only his great projects, but also for having such great taste in actors and always boosting my favs with his great dramas lol 😂😍
Why no ML roles?!.!

Also ML is a single father??
Perfect from de-stressing when irl gets annoying or to watch after just finished a very high-intensity thriller or sad melodrama with tragic ending.
Same thing is going on in that Upcoming Spy-romance drama, where teen MDLs call ML old, where FL is literary born the same year as him. LOL 🤦♀️
They are old, SO WHAT?!? SO IS THE OTHER LEAD TOO, to match their age!?!.
WHAT YOU GUYS would prefer a young 20s something and huge age gap?!?
The same people who complain that one of leads are too old will also complain when there is an age gap LOL 🤦♀️
You cannot have it both ways 😅.
....How did Gen Z get more conservative and more ageist& age gaps phobic than older generation s ?!? 🤦♀️🤦♀️🤦♀️

Been stuck at only 7-8 star shows for ages!
Drama of the year so far! 🔥🔥
No historical genre tag, but the ML character description "Scholar with Confusian ideas" sounds historical.....
