Is the drama getting the popularity it deserves? How is it doing in SK and internationally?
Both My Perfect Stranger and Delightfully Deceitful where topping OTT platforms in a recent all-OTT platforms study. (saw this on twitter on Kim dong wook fan acc) DD at #1 and MPS at 3, doing better overall than even the kdramas in Netflix which is pretty impressive for 2 kdramas not on Netflix.
Not sure what countries that survey measured though, it didn't clearly mention lol. But probably DD and MPS doing well in several asian countries based on where Viu is accesible. Really shame not on Netflix, likely would've done well there too....
As for korean Tv ratings,Both dramas keep scoring same rating each ep now about 4,5 %. Which is pretty good for cable dramas and most watched shows for their timeslots. But wish both did better and got a 10,% rating but oh well. Or maybe now that MPS is ending, the korean Kim Dongwook fans watching this drama can fully immerse in DD drama and increase its rating?
The weakest aspect of this drama is the romance between the main leads. Hae Joon feels more of a teacher to Yoon…
Couldn't agree more! Too much Teacher/Apprentice or platonic besties dynamic. Too platonic chemistry.
Let them stick with hug scenes that they've done so far and NO kiss scenes these last two eps please. I usually want a romance but here it would feel awkward imo. I don't count the hug scenes as romance.

Lol welcome to see from new eyes how FEMALE CHARACTERS have ALWAYS been treated since forever (no goals outside of male lead's love interest or as supporting), especially in thriller kdramas with still too much misogyny, this is NOTHING NEW, only noticed by men when happens to male characters now in reverse😅🤦🏻♀️
Someone suggest me some better sites than dramanice and kissasian with actually functioning servers, (And no, don't say sh*tty Viu, that useless streamer is available in a very few countries only, most can't access. Suggest international friendly for all sites please)

Just watched this movie, and yes I have to agree. It was an ok movie, mainly because of the actors, but something missing didn't really feel too deeply touching or something like that. Probably the writing was slightly shallow.
I meant FastFoward , speed up buttons (watch in 1,5-2x speed), skipping scenes is good solution for those who hate romance scenes. What was so unclear??

Interesting, they did a similar thing in the jdrama First Love: Hatsukoi, having 2 songs inspire the plot + used as background songs to give a good atmosphere. Imo that drama was just so-so, but the taking inspiration from songs + them in background worke d absolutely wonderfully to create an interesting romantic mood! It felt MAGICAL. 😍 Looking forward to seeing that technique used also in this drama 😍

And Psychologcal Healing Romance is my fave kdrama genre 😍 The dramas tend to not disppoint in that genre.
I really encourage everyone to watch the original Taiwanese version before this one... like it's just soo gooddefinitely…
No thanks. Why should we, in case this remake isn't good there's always a 10/10 drama to watch then after it , rather than be disappointed after watching OG drama that the remake doesn't live up to expectations. Plus no spoiler that way.

For some reason, many fans of ML hate the FL and many fans of FL hate the ML, or some both 😅 Some just hate women or older leads or even a 7 year age gap which isn't even alot🤦🏻♀️, FL even irl married a younger guy even with bigger age gap, had great chem with younger actors Kim Soo Hyun and Kang Ha Neul, she can legit be pro at matching with younger but that's not good enough for some lol

KDW and CWH said they wanted to work with each other again & had even discussed that; if no Romance later here, I'm gonna need them in a Romance drama later (or at least a romance movie).

Honestly his hyper empathy making him preoccupied with her is as good as romance for me.
It's the most similar to romance possible. Other kdrama with leads that don't turn romantic is just not romantic, but AT LEAST with this drama even if they don't turn romantic later, it has something very similar to romance ( + coupled with good chem between leads) !😍
Just finished the last ep and WOW..... Did the writer read my diary, I also had a more spontaneous than me school friend who died and with her my adventuresome spirit until recently. Gave me CHILLS.
This drama didn't just potray the joy of surprise moments and Serendipity, it has reminded me to be more spontaneous again, like the FL remembering & being inspired by her adventuresome friend. That last ep really solidified too why the FL is travelling. (Part of it was because of her friend). Watching this over 10 years after my friend's passing, just like it's been over 10 (probably closer to 20) for the FL when she travels again in same place she travelled before with her friend, as If I was the female lead talking to my dead friend & visiting the same place as they did in youth. Once again, did the writer copypaste my life into that ep WTF. Just thought I'd share, this is really next level serendipity.
