I didn't say that SFL needed to never need a man, I just need a BASIC COMPETENCE of being able to do her job + it makes NO SENSE whatsoever for ML who lacks her education to be able to do better than her and just overnight too lol. Never claimed Kick ass is sign of strong woman. I actually dislike that too basic thinking definition. Part of my definition is having a brain (does not need to be a genius either, just don't be total moron character please!) and not get pathetic over ML in plot once she develops feelings for him. Per that, She is a weak FL.
I actually LOVED Secret, it's one of my fave ALLTIME dramas. I don't mind FLAWED characters at all. What I do mind is IDIOTIC characters in particular. Total pet peeve of mine. Too much foolishness from the leads and it's an instant DROP from me. Otherwise flawed characters can be fun to watch.

Well I like that they expand the historical genre to be more about different professionals for leads, quite tired of the typical king, warrior, queen etc. which only makes the genre mostly trite.
These new type of historicals + comedy add ins in recent years have actually made the formerly formulaic Historical genre quite watchable suddenly 😅
