Watching this drama like.....I want to slap everyone except FL & ML grrrr the residents are really too much....can't wait for them to get zombified and die....
Remember my words, Namgil is about to become most ppl favorite actor after this
Yes I have that same exact feeling. :) MARK OUR WORDS PEOPLE.
And not only after starring in this Netflix drama, but also Island which is highly anticipated/already popular (note how it's the most anticipated 2022 drama here on MDL, a few more highly anticited ones are all 2021 dramas which already have posters and some even trailers as promo. No 2022 ones can compete with Island....How popular will Island become after pomotions then I wonder he he).
Agree... Kim Nam Gil shoould have been paired with Lee Elijah or Yoon Ah Jung at least :/ or some underrated actress…
Yes you clearly would've made a better casting director than this whoever thought these two would be good together π (They must be one of those koreans putting up their friends on blinddates and their friends avoid going knowing how they matchmake friends only with terrible choices π ).....Especially KNG + Lee Elijah would've been really exchiting wow π₯. WE NEED THIS FOR ANOTHER DRAMAπ
Also Lee So Yeon would π₯FIRE with KNG too π
Jeon Yeo Bin too π₯π
I also really need KNG & Lee Da Hee to do a ROMANCE DRAMA together π....My literal DREAM PAIR happens but no romance dramaπ€¦π»ββοΈ
Other actresses I can see matching him would be Han Hyo Joo, Oh Yeon Seo, Han Ye Seul, Ha Ji Won, Han Ji Min (she seemed to get on well with KNG in an award show) or How about a reuinion with Lee Yo Won?
Having now watched Lee Yoo Young here in 3 different projects, I can say that she only fits to play a villain. She needs creepy/complex/dark roles to be exhiting (she even shines in those) otherwise she is boring while acting. Even watched her in interviews & she's just a very boring person sigh.....If they had cast her as a villain here I would be exhited, but romantic pairing with KNG hmmm no thanks.....Can only hope that the FL role here is dark, villanous antihero type at least... π
I don't understand why everyone loves squid game when this series induces all in violence for... for what? FOR…
It's not about the killing and the money or even the games that make it popular. It's the relatability, its social commentary strikes a cord with many (even across various countries) in this capitalist world. I'm sorry but those who don't understand this clearly lack analytical skill. Back to school please
shame, i find the ml in the manhwa kinda good looking and im always craving some of that slight romance/villain…
Also no need to apologize. I also want couples in my dramas and yes also love the enemies-to-lovers type situations. Sadly it goes nowhere. But at least there's underlying attraction and fun I-hate-you bickering awaiting us when it comes to Van and Miho. I'm expecting chemistry too, Kim Nam Gil & Lee Da Hee have mutual friends which means comfort and chemistry π₯π₯
I feel so deprived though, Both KNG & LDH are my faves...I hope they'll do a ROMANCE drama together later on π

It's not romantic between Miho and John either π . He is a priest. In the original Mahwa at least it's just they are friends. I don't know about the later webtoon version though??? I've only seen a few screenshots in chinese of the new webtoon version - google translated them. Haven't found the new version. But I doubt there's any Miho & John romance there eitwhr, he's a priest there also.
So John & Miho are friends who actually care about each other.... Van & Miho at first introduced as only bodyguard Tsundere for hire relationship and Van helps her for money onlyπ ....But then they start hinting at more between Van & Miho, but it's like only 1% of the mangwa. π
But it's interesting cause there's a scene in the new webtoon version where Miho takes a shower and John gets nervousπ . But no scene of Miho having any crush on John. Possibly has oneside crush.? Or not crush on her at all, and just normal reaction by a guy in that situation π Also sometime their relationship looks like sister and his little brother evenπ
In the original Mahwa Miho also critises her female friend for crushing on Van π ....but then Miho quickly admits she herself find him attractive lmao. "He's not attractive....eh who am i kidding???" style π
In the later webtoon version there's a scene where Miho blushes around Van and gets all sad about him leaving, mumbling something about love even?? WTF Van is also unusually soft in that scene. The guy he was first introduced as (because of how dark he pretends to be) would have just told her to f off there but he's soft lol WTF DUDE I THOUGHT YOU WERE ONLY IN IT FOR THE MONEY???. Mutual attraction despite bickering 90% of the time ? But they never actay explain their relationship any further it's all so confusing π
Van is also not as dark as when initially seemed....Spoilers he has principles and only kills when has to. So Miho's first assesment of him as a cold serial killer is not fully accurate either? He is still brutal though, but it's like he's hiding he's not as brutal as he pretends π Van was/is also a monk before in the past but possibly isn't anymore, it's unclear since unlike John he doesn't talk about God or seem to care about religion anymore...A former? monk who is psycho but not as psycho as he pretends to be?? lol
In the original manghwa a very spoilery situation makes me conclude that Miho, despite her passionate claims otherwise, really doesn't want Van to go awayπ, even when it's never actually said aloud by the mahwa her character behaviour implies....Then that clingy scene DON'T GO AWAY, Van! + I THOUGH YOU ME WANTED TO , Miho! -ANGST ππ₯ in the newer version happens, so my conclusion confirmed lol.
....So to conclude, even after reading THE WHOLE ORIGINAL MANGWA, I am totally confused about the relationships and even about the true nature of Van which was only SLIGHTLY touched on in whole of mamhwa lol It's like they are hinting about Miho liking Van while at the same time disliking him most of the time LOL and the relationship doesn't go anywhere but there's like an attraction there?
That's the issue withthe mahwa...it doesn't develop the relationship or even character arcs properly π π . Even the characters themsleves don't develop much. THE DRAMA BETTER CHANGE THAT.
KIM NAM GIL + REVENGE = π₯π₯π₯ as fans know. Revenge is like his soulmate lol
MARK OUR WORDS PEOPLE.

Also doesn't sound like there will be romance here? More revenge-focused

Now we know it & it's great!
Yoo Ah In! And I really liked Ahn Eun Jin in Witch's Diner. Great combo.
I'm saying why are are you wishing this overworked man to overwork himself any further? π
