These indie KBLs made on shoestring budgets sometimes deliver more than big budget BLs of other countries. Do support them through the Super Thanks feature on YouTube if you can afford to.
We need to support these small production houses coz the Korean film industry surely isn't 😤
This show is brain dead. But I'm a simple woman. If the guys are pretty, and there is chemistry between the leads, I'll keep watching. And my God, Elis and Patt have CHEMISTRY! 🥵
Sukfilm needs to give its casting team a bonus, coz these terrific and gorgeous actors keep carrying its underwhelming stories on their able shoulders.
Anyways my biggest confusion was Dong Hees first kiss. I was prepared for some later follow up on who it was,…
Don't think Dong-Hee ever kissed anyone before Ho-Tae. He was showing false bravado, maybe coz Ho-Tae had had so many girlfriends despite being younger than him.
Dong-Hee loved Ho-Tae for a long time (the pictures he drew!). Don't think he would have kissed another boy.
Hotae is one year younger than Dong Hee. They have grown up in the same neighbourhood. Like most Asian countries,…
Hyung doesn't mean brother. It's used for any guy older to you who you are personally close to. So Hyung can be a brother, friend, or lover. The same way an older girl is Noona - she can be sister, friend or lover.
For girls it's Oppa for older guys and Unni for older girls.
When Ho-Tae refused to call Dong-Hee 'Hyung', he was trying to act macho and older than his age. The subs in Viki get these nuances right, but Netflix, Prime, and Iqiyi are hopeless.
Where can I find the movie version? I want to buy it and support this beautiful work.
For the international audience it is available only on Iqiyi. If you watch there, you will be supporting it. They are charging Premium from 3rd episode onwards if you don't wish to wait.
Seems like you haven't watched Unintentional Love Story. Their story continues there (they are the side couple).…
I did not understand Ho-Tae's mother's words like that, so surely a 19 year old didn't either. She still hadn't made it clear in ULS.
About his decision to leave for Seoul - his internalized homophobia, fear of losing his imo's love, and Ho-Tae's playboy ways with girls - all contributed to it. He didn't tell Ho-Tae till the last moment coz he knew Ho-Tae would try to stop him.
No, he isn't a masochist. Just a kid who has been kicked out of his home by his father and is in love with a boy everyone considers his brother.

Since it was obviously a prequel, an open ending was the best they could do. And why Dong-Hee went away to Seoul for years is explained well in ULS. After being abandoned by his own father, he couldn't afford to lose Ho-Tae's mother's love. His internalized homophobia doesn't go away completely even in ULS. I think the makers did a perfect job of creating this prequel, especially since this backstory isn't a part of the original manhwa.
I wept from the end of 5 right on through half of 6.However, as much as I loved this to that point, and as much…
Seems like you haven't watched Unintentional Love Story. Their story continues there (they are the side couple). This prequel wasn't on the cards when ULS was made. But our boys had such good chemistry that this prequel was made for them. I suggest you watch ULS, it will answer all your questions.
Episodes 2 & 3 - Ah, the yearning, the gentle care! They smile with their eyes only with each other. Ho-Tae is a terrible boyfriend to the girls he dates, but I can't dislike him. The poor boy is doing what he thinks he should be doing, but his feelings keep pulling him towards Dong-Hee ❤️
I'm going to space this show out. Don't want it to end too soon.

So what if it's a 2020-ish university BL? Those heart eyes Hill is making at Ter are just what I need after a frustrating day to sooth my soul ❤️
