Me too! I LOVE SECRET. I love it so much, I watched the first 13 episodes, and put the last 3 on hiatus because I never wanted it to end. Sad, right? :P
I'm on episode1. Is this drama overrated? How is it different from others?
Haha, don't worry. I was like you. It took a couple of false starts, but after leaving it alone for a few months, I picked up where I left of - and it wasn't so bad! Gets addicting after a while. Maybe you should try again in a couple of months :P

Maybe people sing it's praises too highly, but if you keep with it, it's definitely an enjoyable watch. Nobody I know has regretted it (unless they're deliberately trolling.) Does it have a USP? Probably. For me, it had a lot of familiar tropes, but it's done in a "this is interesting" way.
Also I picked up this drama again to see Tae Gwang get the girl (Eun Bi), and if he doesn't!!!! I will scream so loud...the second lead is more compelling in this scenario, but hey, just my opinion (a popular one!)
Very rarely do I have a visceral gut reaction about wanting to punch someone, but that mean bully girl, just makes me want to split my knuckles every time I see her. Her acting is so good and the lines are so blurred, it's like I'm not watching an actress play out a part, but a honestly mean person in real life. Fantastic acting by her...and if she picks a more likable role next time and is just as convincing, then she might be the next big thing to come out of Korea since kimichi...*gasp*(whoops, I probably exaggerate.)
I think Heirs was so bad, people over-exaggerate how good Woo Bin was in it. Compared to the others, I can see why he's the favourable option - but in my view, his acting wasn't enough for me to stick to the end (or even fast forward to his bits.) Choose a better drama, next time Binnie, and I might give you a chance! :) He was good in School 2013.
I always say if you want to meet Mr. Perfect, then you better be Miss Perfect. Otherwise accept his flaws, accept yours and see if you're a compatible match.
Jang Geun Suk is overhyped. i never liked him but tolerated his acting. You can say he do not play annoying role.…
He isn't overhyped, he's typecast. He's been pigeon-holed into playing effeminate characters that people are bored of. Such a pity, because I think he's talented. Just shows...even good actors need to make wise choices!
are they twins ? or not i m confused , if twins how can they talk like falling
So Ra's character doesn't know who her mom is, sees an old picture, finds out she might be a twin, goes to find him, he collects hair for DNA sample...but if it WAS a match, I think he would've contacted her...I'm assuming the DNA test happened in the bg (the viewers didn't see it) and it was a no match...but he remembers her as that kooky girl, who turned up professing to be his twin...
Fishing a shoe out from a little stream, that's covered with horse poop...that just about sums up how confusing and random the 1st episode is, yet very entertaining! Some of the bits were just funny :)
Many child actors are good, they frequently are my favourite portion of dramas, and yet in the adult arena, the talent isn't as strong. To surmise, children are written as compelling, and adults are given flimsy, whimsical plots with the female leads in particular, dumbed down. Even now, as I watch School 2015 : Who are you, I am watching this very talented actress being forced (well, you know what I mean) to partake in arm-grab scenes (where the male grabs her wrist, swings her around, drags her after him, and she's following after him like a mindless puppet)...which is what 99% of adult drama females have to contend with at one point or another and I dislike. They're already pouring her into a mould....starting to give her cliches that the adults have to contend with...but her flame. Her flame is bright, and I will never forget her performances in IHYV, TMTETS, and MY. Her future is all about good role selections now. They are out there!
I didn't really like his acting in Warrior Baek Dong Soo (he played it OTT, in my opinion and was outshone by other male actors) and I wasn't crazy about him in the first couple episodes of Healer, but he slowly won me over. I think he's good at action and very good with switching intensity, but like Joo Won, he leaves me confused to whether he's brilliant (genius, even) or he just uses various intensity levels to throw us off, and he's actually a above par actor but with improvements to be made. Anyway...that's my balanced opinion of him! Ji Chang Wook may have to do another drama, for me to truly go one way or another! But he did good in Healer ♥ And he does awesome kissing scenes!
Please see my spoiler comment, I don't think it's that at all.
Great article...I see your points.
