Definitely I'm here for Liu Xue Yi. Not a fan of the FL. I dived into this drama to check if it has the same vibe as In Between drama. Tbh, The presentation seem confusing for me. I thought it was a flashback story at first with the childhood bf. Turns out, it was a presentation of both possibilities if she chose the childhood friend or the Shangai city life guy relationship. Given the FL's personality, I think the Shanghai City life suits her more. She's a career driven woman. I never saw her to be a housewife. I feel sad for Yu jian's character. I can feel how he poured out his love for the FL with all of his actions. He really did his best, but, he was caught up in between family issues and his relationship with FL. But, I can also sense how the FL feels that she wants to get out of these traditional family life in Lehan. Aside from the fact, that the Mother-In-Law is so problematic.
As for Xue Yu Ming, getting into marriage is such a big decision for him who's really not into it. Plus, the fact that his got an obligation to fulfill for his kid. Both presentations we're good or should I say rather realistic. I even like the bar tender guy who's into her also. Yes he's quite young, but, he lives a too carefree life that the FL couldn't see herself involving into.
Anyways, I'm not a fan of open ended endings, so , I cannot give this a rating of higher than 7.0. And, the presentation is just too confusing for me. Sometimes, I don't know which is the reality and the imaginary situation of the FL.

😅 I think everyone who's into this drama have that same kind of feeling towards our ML. 😂 Given the hotness meter, it's absolutely understandable.

A decent watch. WYX is handsome as ever. Being pregnant at 19 by a 30yr old man is a bit disturbing. Just a 7.5 for me.

Finally, that long epic saga of getting a divorce has been trashed. I like the new character FL's first love. Setting the jeaolusy meter to the highest level for our ML. I just hope the antagonists gets to be punished in the end. Not single one among the 3 has been punished yet.

Exactly, probably the writer thought they got us hooked. Oh yes, we definitely did....to lower the ratings coz they're giving us frustrations in every episode, instead of feel good moments from steamy scenes.

Exactly, law of karma. Same goes to the antagonists. Like everything goes right for them and still not being punished for their wrong doings. I think everything is stretched too long.

So, I stopped at ep. 18 and tried to pick it up back again up to the most recent ep. subbed. The FL's character really frustrates me. Her hiding of identity was stretched too long. Now, the baby was lost with all her drama of divorce. I think nothing is really going right about this drama. Yes, kisses were back on ep.19 and onwards. ML wholeheartedly begged forgiveness even he was the one being lied on. Like, the audacity of this girl. I'm trying to hold on for the last 7 10mins eps. But, the story just gets bad as it goes, inspite the good amount of intimacy.

I can clearly see how much you loved the drama. All perfect 10! I haven't started this yet. Hopefully, I'm gonna enjoy it as much as you did. Last drama I watched of them was Go Go Squid. Not sure about the intimacy level of this drama, but GGS was on fire back then.

One reason I do watch short mini series is because it's usually full of physical intimacy comparing to full length ones. Sadly, this drama was quite lacking of it. And yes, a complete happy ending is to showcase a complete happy family in the end but wasn't showned as well.Oh yeah, I loved that part too stating she will ONLY be the wife. Like, it's a rare gem to have a loyal partner back then as they are required to have concubines.Am sure they'll be good parents as ML experienced how to be neglected by parents as FL on the otherhand received full love from her her father. Am sure they'll make sure their future kids will receive all the love they need.

That makes sense. I just hope the writer opted for the antagonists to make them suffer at least before death. I mean to give justice for those who died because of them. Let say, The Consort could have suffered with the disease she spread to make a plague. But, she just died right away without any suffering.
The 3rd Prince could have lost his mind and be mentally ill for the rest of his life as he sees visions of himself being the Emperor. But then again, He just died right away to end his torment by his lover. Same goes with the Consort. Like, if we look on the other side of it, they were technically saved by their lovers from suffering by dying with them.

Anyway, I appreciate your thoughts on this. Aside from the Antagonists for being punished. I still find the romance department lacking. I was looking forward for more intimate scenes by the MC, but never did happen till the end and just got a mere kiss. Or they could have kids at least.

Well, death for me isn't a punishment. It is more of an excuse to be punished. They should have face and suffered with all the wrong doings they have done. Lifelong suffering is a real deal punishment. It could be the Protagonists or simply the Law of Karma should have done the works of punishment for them.

This started interesting. Enjoyed the humor from FL's father. Chemistry was definitely there. The remaining last 7eps.went a bit drag for me. Even the romance went downhill a bit. Plus half of the finale focused on the anatagonist. Not even single one of them was punished. Given said that, I can only give this a 7.5 rating.
