I see, but I hate flashbacks that I can't get myself into dramas with childhood history and stuff. I remember the drama, Sunshine Of My Life. I like how things unfolded for the MC and developed their feelings for each other . No childhood pasts or whatsoever.
But, of course, there's one exception that I really loved with childhood history and that is, My Fated Boy. I really loved that drama.

Well, in reality not all people has a history. Most couples I knew that have a lasting marriage usually meets randomly. It's rare for long term relationships to end in marriage. Usually, they end in break ups. It's just more exciting for me to meet a potential partner randomly. From there, you'll get to know more each other. There will be curiosity as time passes. You won't get bored with your relationship for there will always things to discover with each other. Unlike if you know the person for ages, I find it so boring that you already knew each other too well. Like no more room for growth in the relationship. And you'll have your what if's, like if you have met somebody else and not got stuck with an old flame or childhood friend.
So true, the battles seem just never ending and over the top. Even the amnesia arc was stretched too long. It would have been better if the romance was more focused for the MC.
I don't read novels, but we share the same preference with the story. I would prefer the scenario as what you have described based on the novel itself. Not really happy though how the characters of the MC was written.
I hope after all the positive comments for ZLH as we so seldom see him (or I haven't) in modern contemporary roles…

That's the thing, she already had communication problems before with the ex. She doesn't clarify things soon enough given a chance. Though, I know the ex avoided her but @ep.16, she was given a chance to blurt things out but she didn't. Now, she's doing it all over again. the only difference is that the ex doesn't have patience and time and Dr. He has all the time for her.
Self frustration can't solve anything and even the friends can't solve that for her. She needs to speak out directly to the person and speak her mind.
So, eps 1-12 was my no skip heart fluttery moment for this drama. Ep.13 -16, so far made me skip a lot. On the first 12 eps., the getting to know you stage of the MC gives a feel good vibe. Eps. 13-16 simply reminded me of FL's character in The Forbidden Flower. Same selfish traits. Only thinks about her feelings but didn't think her partner is also hurting. Sometimes, this is what you call a make or break in a drama. Once the momentum was ruined it will be hard to get it back even if it has a HE. ML's character of course, a very gentle guy with lots of patience given he is a doctor. A total greenflag. Once he likes someone, he'd never give up no matter the rejection or any obstacle that may arise. Sadly, FL's character just continuously disappoints me. Even handling the ex. She could've blurted out all her angst to the ex as her final words but she just went away. Sometimes venting out could help in the process of healing. for you to be able to say the unspoken thoughts ringing thru your mind after the break up. That you wish you could have said. I don't like the ex either, but I like Cesar Wu, he's also cute as ever. 😍 Oh and yes, boy, am I glad to see our SC finally got officially together. Definitely staying for ZLH towards the end of this drama. But, honestly, Dr. He deserves somebody better. Not in this drama I guess. lolz 😁
