I see...Is it a good movie? YesDid I like It? NODo I regret watching it? YESI shouldn't have read the "thriller"…
Also adding to the frustration... there's no way these kids have survived. They're dead and deceased but the real bullies in this story, the bully classmate as well as the disgusting piece of sh*** who is Yori's genitor are gonna keep on living their lives without any consequences unless the silent majority who turned a blind eyes ( which is unfortunately too realistic) i.e the classmates as well as the teachers who just don't care because they don't want problems will keep on finding excuses for their non-action and deny any form of responsibility while the only adults who cared are going to wallow in misery for the rest of their lives.

In movies, I like to have some form of social justice even if in reality there is none. This movie just leaves a very bitter taste in my mouth.
Next time, I watch a Japanese movie... I'm going to spoil myself big time to avoid spending two hours of utter misery.

I SO WANT TO GIVE THIS MOVIE A 1.
But I can't because it's a good movie. It made me feel lots of things but not positive one and I HATE IT.
So I'm gonna settle for a 7.

Do I regret watching it? YES

I shouldn't have read the "thriller" tag... I mistook this movie for something else. This is the type of character-driven story that Japan is so good at but which don't work for me most of the time... as a genre in itself... So I'm probably going to rate it 7 or 7.5 because I can't go lower.
I understand the praise... but this movie is not for everyone. Also... It has that feel of " It's going to stay with me for a while" but... not for the good reasons. I like movies that make me think of them from time to time when it depicts positive things regarding human beings as a whole not when it is the opposite.

My God! San's niece is on a mission to embarrass her great great grand-father to no end.
I'm experiencing second-hand embarrassment so bad... Poor dude. It's already complicated enough to accept his love has reincarnated into a man, let alone your niece telling everyone you had your first wet-dream in a hundred years with one 😅😅😅😅

EDIT 1: Trust me Vee, face is a matter of taste but that body of yours is fire.

EDIT 2: I'm sorry San... I understand your dilemma... but all your mental gymnastics to delulu yourself that Vee is not Wad is just hilarious🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣

Finally starting this... Didn't even need to check that some people involved with "To Sir with Love" were working on that show.
The opening song: Sounds the same as "To Sir with Love" (Is it even a different song seriously?)
Settings at the beginning of episode 1: Same as "To Sir with Love". It's been two years and I still remember the fake street and the theater settings... Didn't even bother to freshen up the background.

Oh well... I'm here for the story at the end of the day so it's okay but the story looks so fun on paper I wish they injected a bit more money so that it looked less cheap.

Anyway... Only 20 minutes in. Looks promising. But my forehead hurts for San. Everytime I hear the sound of his head hitting the pavement, it feels like it's me who's bleeding.

Wasn't particularly impressed with "Love in Translation" so I'm happy to see this story's got way more meat。 Also love Daou's military's haircut. Love it way better than his usual "k pop look", so there's that.

Really surprised.
Just learned the news and.... yeah stupid of me... but I never imagined neither he nor Tul were gays ( or bisexuals whatever they are). I had this image of them being occasionally BL actors but not necessarily leaning this way. Anyway, wishing them the best. It's great actors in Thailand are now feeling confident enough and receive enough support from the public to admit publicly their sexual orientation... The marriage bill probably helps. But anyways, with public figures coming out, it's definitely going to help change people's perception regarding homosexuality as a whole. Also because both of them have such a "manly" look ( there's nothing wrong with having a smaller frame but you'd be surprised by the number of people who still believe gays are necessarily "effeminate" and yeah I'm sorry for the term used but I don't know how to express this better), it helps getting rid of tenacious clichés.

Anyway, I wish them both the best... though it's none of my business. Their private lives... But still happy for them.

The amount of second hand embarrassment from their lovey dovey scenes is too much 😭😭😭😭Waiting for…
My God YES! 🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣
I already took more than 1 hour 30 minutes watching episode 11... and I thought they couldn't top it off... But now on episode 12, it's even worse. I'm going to die laughing. Have to pose every two seconds.

Hmm...Beg to differ.I don't see it as lazy writing... It's more a matter of people's fantasies that never happen…
I guess in this series, they didn't sell it well enough for you to be convinced... Still...I don't think we're on a 9/10 ratio for K dramas these days... In the early 2000s definitely. But now it's not that much... I do agree it's overused though ( though I still like it 😎 )

Oh come on'. Puppy love exist. got my first crush on a classmate at 8 years old. Kids fall in love. Of course it's not the same as teens but still...

EDIT: And you know they do...It's usually the boy who can't help but pester the girl he has a crush on. In most K dramas, the boy is nice to the girl... cuz we have to believe the little girl also likes him obviously... But in the real world, the boy is a tiny "bully" and he usually becomes one of the worst memory for the girl in question.

I wonder when kdrama writers will get rid of that ridiculous trope of "childhood friends-future lovers" thing.…
Hmm...
Beg to differ.
I don't see it as lazy writing... It's more a matter of people's fantasies that never happen in real life but you hope it did.
Dunno how old you are, but when you get to my age '(late 30s)... the amount of missed opportunities for some of us is high. So it plays into that fantasy of reuniting with your first love, and fixing that lifelong regret of "if only I..."

Yes it's unrealistic... But at the same time most k dramas are. I mean we don't all look like models who happen to meet by chance some rich and handsome dude in the street who just happens to be single, nice, intelligent, dreamy, (occasionally not even realizing how great he is) with rock solid six packs and solely devoted to his one true love in spite of being surrounded by gorgeous girls ( ah yeah the heroine is supposed to be plain but is obviously beautiful but plain because she is so modest only the hero and his rival realizes how pretty she is... yadayadayada).

Romance is the go-to genre for something predictable. You don't watch a romance for the unexpected... you watch thrillers for that.

I like you... But not enough to subject myself to another family drama. I've been burnt enough by the genre... But I wish you success.

I love reading comments of people predicting this is going to suck compared to the first season when nothing has been aired yet.
I wouldn't even say anything if it was an open ending but let's be honest here... It was NOT an ending period.

Currently rewatching it for the first time. Strangely like it more the second time around than the first... so I rated it up to 10. But probably because I can now binge it whereas I watched it through its verryyyyy long 14 weeks run the first time. Best NC scenes out of all BL dramas I've watched, beautifully filmed without being too graphic. Cinematography is top notch.

I know everybody is raving about Vegas/Pete but my favorite pairing is still Kinn/Porsche.

Morally very gray but the actors sold it to me. I'm just sad we haven't seen the likes of it for the past 2 years... Expecting good things from 4 minutes but can't wait to see Shine next year.

Be On Clouds always deliver.

EDIT: Forgot to mention that I just LOVE Big's haircut. Best haircut in the whole drama. Fits the actor's face to a T.

EDIT 2: Ah yeah... Kinn/Porsche is something but I had forgotten how sick the Vegas/ Pete ship was... To really enjoy this series, the best thing is let your moral values at the door and just understand this is a twisted world were the "normality" is just madness. Otherwise there's just too many problematic things to get through.
The casting is just perfect because it just works. I don't think it would have been that effective with less charismatic actors.

I demand my lungs back. I'm sat here unable to breathe, think, and march forward because I'm longing just as hard…
I think the end was pretty clear and although bittersweet, it was actually a happy one for Wang.

In is stuck with his old demons, unable to move on from his own trauma, his guilt and self-hate... whereas Wang is going to move on with his life. While Wang's homophobic and self-centered mother thinks she has won the war with her son and In... just like she thought she did with her former husband... She's deluding herself.

Wang needs her and her money in order to be able to stand on his own two feet but everything that happened just showed how much her mother only cares about her and protecting her little world. She does love him... but only the him that fits the little perfect world she's build for herself that is built on lies and self-delusion.

Anyway, the way I see it. Wang just understands that there's no point fighting with his mother now. If In supported him, that would be another story, but he is too young to fight for himself. He still needs her for now. But in his inner monologue, you can see he embraces the person he is and that he is just bidding his time. There will come a day when he'll be independent, and his mother will try to tie him down but it won't work. He's not his father... and he is not In either. He's seen what her mother's toxic "love" has led them to. Ultimately, he'll meet somebody who will love him proudly and will leave the nest... unlike In who remained a coward to the end, stuck in the same place. Knowing himself for who he is but not courageous enough to face the consequences of what that entails. He's gay. It's never gonna be easy for him but he has a life to live and if people around him can't accept it, so be it. Instead he does nothing. He's stuck in place and in time.

It's more a story of growing up and embracing yourself more than a doomed love-story. Instead of homophobia, they could have changed it for religion, say being non-religious with a very religious mother for instance and falling in love with an atheist... And it still would have worked. Or falling in love with somebody of a different social status, or a different race in a racist family or whatever. Still works.

Drama wasn't my type but the performance was great. I couldn't bear the mother for the life of me which is why I gave it an 8 but her lines were... unfortunately very realistic.
I don't regret watching this... but this is the type of shows I stay away from... Too heavy, too painful even if the end was hopeful at least for Wang.

Dunno why I came here... But this drama did leave a deep impression. I think of it from time to time.

That dinner/dance scene near the end of the episode should not be missed for the cringe factor alone. It deserves…
Lolz.
I'm sure somebody is going to put a compilation of the worst cringe moment on youtube at some point so I'm not too worried but thanks for the heads up ^^
EDIT: That leg lift... Ok... I'll check it out :D
EDIT 2: I'm talking about the dance scene... Not the whole episode obviously. On that front I'm done.

So... I was going to give this show one last chance to redeem itself this week...
But reading the comment section (and having a field day with it 🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣 ) That won't be necessary.
Dropping this. I hang on for 4 weeks, that's a third of the series which is already an achievement in itself. This being said... I'll probably secretly stalk this comment section. I mean... Not gonna lie, the comments are funny 😆😆😆

There are two versions available... Strangely I didn't see them on iQIYI before but just before watching the last…
Sorry I just noticed a mistake I made in my comment that I just corrected.
I personnally watched only the Uncut Version and noticed yesterday that the CUT-version was available for free up to episode 11.
Sorry for the mistake.

Is there a big difference between the cut/uncut version? (I mean are there a lot cut scenes or is it just in one…
There are two versions available... Strangely I didn't see them on iQIYI before but just before watching the last episode I noticed the cut version was uploaded up to episode 11 and apparently available for free.

As for the differences... I honestly don't know... but I think there must be a couple of them because there are some NC scenes though they are pretty tame in my opinion.
