I’m starting my binge now, can someone tell me which ep they get together?
Just enjoy the ride. It's a complicated relationship. Them getting together is the whole point of the story. You'll get it once you've watched it.

Review Word of Honor
While I definitely loved WoH far more than you did, I do agree with some of your points. With the romance, it…
I personally also consider emotional investment... Which I think is the main reason I looked at the show as objectively as I did... Except for the beginning... I just couldn't get emotionally invested. I probably would have rated it better had I been invested in any of these relationships... But even then, I honestly wouldn't give this show more than a 6.

I get what you're saying... But I feel that the book is the book Just like I personally feel it's unfair to rate badly a show because it's not completely faithful to its original source... It's also not fair to rate it higher because of the hints you only know because you read the book. The drama should be judged for what it is.

But again, the BL romance is not my main issue. My main issue is mostly all the rest.
Anyway, I know I'm part of the minority but thank you for sharing your opinion.

I don't really understand what you mean. 15kg over the course of 2 months is pretty okay for a man with an intense…
I'm sorry to disagree. That's basically 2kg per week. No doctor would ever recommend losing that much weight in such a short amount of time for somebody with a healthy weight which is the case for Ji Sung. Even at 85kg, with his height, he was just slightly overweight, shedding weight when you're at a normal weight is extremely tough and not recommended. Maybe losing the first 4/5 kg quickly was okay but not the remaining 10. You've got do to it slowly otherwise you're exposing yourself to health risks. If he was obese that would be another story since most of what he would have lost would have been water. Obese and overweight people can lose a lot of weight fast, but not people with a normal weight.

Look at what happened to Kim Bum. Anyway I'm sorry but this is disinformation. Even the best nutritionists wouldn't recommend this to anyone. But after all it's his body, if he wants to ruin it, that's on him.

that's it, no hope for anyone over 50
Actually you spend relatively the same amount of energy whether you're in your 20s, 30s, 40s etc. The only difference is that you tend to be less active as you age and it makes it more difficult to lose weight. But if you exercise, there's no major difference apart from where you store the fat I guess.
The older you get, the more you get muscle atrophy... However you only need to exercise regularly to maintain your muscle mass. Muscles consume more than fat and a person who exercises will naturally spend more energy when resting than a person who doesn't.
I personally go to the gym twice a week, and I see lots of elderly in their 60s and 70s with very well shaped bodies. If you didn't see their face, you'll have a hard time guessing how old they are given the state of their bodies.
Anyway, it's never late to get in shape. I saw a video of an 80 year old japanese sport's coach who had gotten into bodybuilding at the ripe age of 62, and she rocked it.

This being said 15kg in 2 months... is ridiculous. Nobody can lose this amount of weight at whatever age in a healthy manner.

It bums me out to say this, but not even Byeon Woo Seok can stop me from telling the truth:Lovely Runner is a…
You know... I do agree on your comment... But not on this series ( though the Dad in the bathroom is personally the only thing I kinda disliked in the whole show so I'm not counting it). Most K-romance I've seen... When the story is ONLY romance, I've got to say I wish they stuck to 12 episodes ( And I'm not even talking about C Dramas because if you love the show it's ok but my God if you don't love it the level of boredom is sky-high) BUT in the case of Lovely Runner, I beg to differ. It's got several genre blended together and this is why for me it works.

I'm glad we got some sweet moments of them together, it didn't feel like fillers to me since you need to give these characters time to breathe. Watching a show in which everything is moving forward all the time makes for a suspenseful, but very stressful watching experience and Lovely Runner is not that show, it was never advertised as such.

I think they've been pretty faithful to their tone during the whole drama. Lots of funny and sweet moments tinged with a bit of suspense and sadness.

But to each one his own. Not everyone can like a show from start to finish, and everybody is entitled to his/her own opinion. I disagree with you on this point, but at least I know where you're coming from unlike some idiot who said Sol was grooming Seon Jae or whatever. I saw everybody banging against the person who posted that comment... when it was very obvious that they were just trolling to get a reaction.

Though I disagree, your comments makes sense in a way for somebody who isn't particularly into the romance genre. I can understand you might be bored... But for someone like me who enjoy the genre... Honestly this is pretty light, and there's no fillers.
Hope you have a happy remaining watching experience though.

I know uncontrollably fond was kind of a 'hit' and start up too but apart from that, I don't think any of the…
Actually her first hit was the first drama she starred in "Dream High". It was extremely popular when it came out. I personally really liked this drama. After that I only watched two dramas she starred in and I personally wasn't impressed so I don't understand the hype... But again I don't care for K Pop which I guess is where she got most of her popularity.

Anyway to each one his/her own... I probably won't tune it. Not a fan of her acting nor of the projects she picks up except for "While You were Sleeping" which was good... but less than the writer's previous projects Dream High, I Hear your Voice, Page Turner and Pinnochio. Haven't seen Start-Up yet. Anyway. This writer has had several hits and Suzy acted in 3 of them... But the success as far as I'm concerned is more due to the writing not the actors featured in it.

I guess she likes "challenging roles" which challenges her acting chops... And I think she makes good choices as an actress who wants to perfect her skills... But as a viewer... I don't care for experimental or whatever. I want entertainment so it's gonna be a no. Again.

Title Lovely Runner Spoiler
So Episode 15... Seon Jae carried her hero-style in front of everybody without even bothering to try to hide her face...
I understand Seon Jae... You're "afraid of rumors" yet you used Im Sol's fever to make sure EVERYBODY could see you were with her ^^ Seems to me you're seeking relationship rumors with a certain person.
After all she said she's not going out with that policeman, so who cares right?

You might be forced to get into a "contract marriage" until all the rumors that are bound to rise from this die down. Man... This is SUCH AN OLD TRICK, I've seen that contract marriage thing in I don't how many K dramas, you're definitely the melodrama king.

Geez I wasn't planning on watching this but the interviewer has me in giggles. She's such a fangirl. Also they're both too cute for words, so I totally get it. I would fangirl as well.
I don't want to ship them because it's just acting and it's just a job... But I can' t help it.

Wow I'm the exact same way -- loved kdramas but I was rarely interested in kdramas between 2020 - 2023 timeframe…
Your "Currently Watching List" says otherwise ;)

But yeah 4 shows because I'm learning 4 languages ( Korean, Japanese, Mandarin Chinese [simplified and traditional] and Thai ) so I'm making sure that I listen to these 4 languages at least once a week... Though I've been neglecting a bit Thai and Japanese recently... I'm in a very strong K Drama period now and I've seen too many very mediocre Thai series so I'm sticking to just reading in Thai until I finish all the shows I'm currently watching.

Yeah It's err... 4 shows and 4 books. I also have a ridiculously high TBR of English books but I've been focusing on these 4 asian languages for a couple of years now and just can't find the time to read my English TBR. And don't even get me started on my Manga TBR... which is in French ( my mother tongue). I wish I could sleep 3 hours a day.

But yeah I get what you're saying but this actually only works when the series is good. When the series is average or just plain mediocre, I personally really feel the length and the number of episodes really doesn't help. I'm currently on the verge of finishing "Word of Honor" and my God this show is... terrible. I really don't understand the ratings on MDL. Anyway, this show is 36 episodes... But I really struggled.
Also I've noticed in wuxias, they take their sweet time to tell a story but they always rush the end... I'm still very pissed at the end of Till the End of the Moon ( And yeah I know about the whole 40 episodes debacle that caused this end and I'm pissed at the director, he should have made two seasons instead of removing the equivalent of 18 episodes and giving us this piss-poor ending) and Love Between Fairy and Devil. Both series were great, so It didn't change my ratings but they took their time to tell the story as it unfolded, why cheat us of a proper happy send-off for our characters?

I agree that this limitation is really really really annoying. I don't feel like it's a bad thing for the romance genre... But anything that gets a more complicated plot suffers from it. It's really annoying.

Anyway Word of Honor really tired me out, so I think I'm going to watch one or 2 Taiwanese BLs before coming back to watch a full C-drama. If you have a good recommendation, I'm open to any ideas. I've got Viki, and I also have Iqiyi which I use with a VPN , registered my account while supposedly being in Taiwan ^^ For anything only available on Netflix and Disney +... Let's just say that I know where to get them... But I'd rather not since it takes a lot of time.

I was thinking maybe Hikaru no Go, since I'm a huge fan of the manga. Anyway if you have good recommendations it's welcome. You can check my Watchlist. It's pretty well kept for everything except for Korean shows I've seen in the early 2000s. I don't keep a dropped list... But from memory the only C drama I've dropped so far is Meteor Garden 2018.

Also happily stuck forever in dramaland and asian storyland in general :D
Terrible sickness. Can't get rid of it... Don't want to :D

Not married til 38? Unless he just fails at proposing for 3 years Sun Jae doesn’t have that much chill 😂
Thank You ^^ I totally get it. I've seen my parent's marriage, and I don't particularly believe in marriage either... (that's not even talking about the people I mentioned above... But my parents are this old generation that just don't divorce no matter what) I'm also unfortunately very cynical about relationships as a whole. Real Life sucks, I prefer to live in dramaland. And in dramaland, most marriage end up in "happily ever after" :D

Not married til 38? Unless he just fails at proposing for 3 years Sun Jae doesn’t have that much chill 😂
It's a theory... And I don't remember on which episode he speculated it. So It might have changed in following episodes ( but that bus IS important on several aspects, not just the number).

By the way, you know time flies right?
I was certain I'd be married by the age of 30 when I was 18... and here I am turning 38 next month.
Don't worry age is not terrible, life actually gets way better. Also... Sad to say this, but most people I know who married in their 20s and early 30s are all divorced or about to now except for one couple so...

Age is not really the important thing here. The important thing is them getting together. Also, Seon Jae is a very famous actor, at 34 he's still in his prime. It would be far more simple for his partner to get married to him when he gets into his 40s than in his 30s... People are just less interested in your love life once you are older. Just sayin'
