See what I mean? Also... Thai is a very veryyyyyyyyyyy veryyyyyyyyy ambiguous language that leaves a lot to interpretation and context. Basically to fit English, you do need to slightly "overtranslate" so until everything is clarified... I'm going to keep my doubts.

I might be misunderstanding your comment, so please do let me know if that's the case. This show is based on a…
Yeah I understand it's based on a BL. It's not the shipping I'm talking about. My take is there is NOTHING in this drama that hints at more than just bromance.

I had the same issue with the drama "Word of Honor" where everybody was raving about the BL aspects of the show when there was literally none in my opinion. I'm just going to quote my own review regarding my feeling for that show which people said the BL aspects was "explicit":

"Though I have to mention that given China's censorship, I wasn't expecting anything from the BL aspect no matter how much people lauded the BL aspect of this show. I'm glad I did because, the few flirtatious lines felt more like two friends teasing each other than anything else which is 100% ok btw, I don't see the problem. My problem is people advertising this show as one the greatest BL of all time when there's just two friends teasing each other.
On that front, I'm sure I'm part of the minority since everybody's saying the flirting is pretty explicit... which is true... But I don't know maybe its because I'm French. I personally consider such teasing pretty average. It's more a matter of interpretation than anything else. If you take them seriously it's flirting. If you don't, it's just teasing each other by pretending your relation is really really close... which I've seen many of my perfectly heterosexual male friends do. There's this mention of "soulmate"... But very early on, it's established that it doesn't necessarily mean in a romantic way so here."

In Spirealm, we don't even get flirting to that degree. There's nothing. Now I still have 9 episodes left ( or 18) so maybe in subsequent episodes - but I doubt it - the BL aspect will more prevalent.
It just feels to me that BL fans here wants to see BL when there's literally nothing. In fact I didn't know this was a censored BL until way past the middle point of this drama when I learned by chance reading one of the comment that it had been censored in China.

And I was like WHAT?
How much more censored should it be to pass the censorship because there's NOTHING to see here . NADA. NIET. ZERO.
Caring for somebody doesn't mean you have romantic feelings for said person. So again, to me, it's more people wanting to see what they want instead of just plainly watching the show for what it is.

I'm 95% sure that if nobody knew this drama was an adaptation from a BL novel, we wouln't even spend one second talking about this subject.

Title Love Next Door Spoiler
Seems like Seung Hyo's mother is regretting having placed her career first instead of her child and now she's experiencing some form of jealousy towards Seok Ryu's mother because she is obviously closer to her son than her... What's done is done though... You can't build again what hasn't been done in childhood. Your son is too busy now to form as strong a bond as you should have had when he was young. Obviously her husband doesn't have the same sentiment. This is a typical case of people who shouldn't have had kids or should have had their kids later when they careers were well established.

Having a kid when your priority is your career means your child is going to be neglected. Fortunately Seung Hyo is pretty well grounded given he was lucky to be taken care of by Seok Ryu's mom.

I get Seok Ryu's mom's position regarding her daughter but I can make the parallel with my own mom who basically had the same trajectory except that my mom keeps on telling me that I worked enough and that it's time I learned to rest. Of course, I'm not Korean and competitiveness and bragging about your children's success is not seen as a good thing where I live. Having happy kids is seen as the achievement more than them having successful carreers. What's the point if they're unhappy, unable to rest and have fun with the money they earned?

But she's not wrong in saying that life is tough and everybody has it hard... However, your parents are supposed to be your safe place. Sometimes life beats you up and you do need a break. I personally quit a well-paid job as a civil servant where I had more than a 10 years carreer less than 2 years ago. My father was going crazy about it, even though I had been talking about it for years... But my mom supported me in my choice. I had been so unhappy for so many years, she's seen me at my worst, and the only thing that made me hang in there was the fact that I knew I would quit at some point.

Problem is I'm still living on my savings ( which were pretty ok... had it not been for a tiny problem called... inflation) and I couldn't go live with my parents like Seok Ryu, because they live 10 000 km away in an area where there's literally no jobs to find.
This being said I don't regret my choice. It's a bit of a rough patch trying to figure how to navigate your life when you start over at almost 40 but it's better than being in a standstill in a situation that just make you utterly unhappy, and stressed. Some of my colleagues had been working taking anti-depressants for years and I swore to myself I would quit before it got to that point, which I did.

Rooting for Seok Ryu all the way! I get you girl! I've been there ^^ Though obviously, my path is probably going to be more rough than yours but life is a fight and sometimes you need a break to get back on your feet.

Title The Spirealm Spoiler
Well the whole main plot has no sense at all, but some of the mini-plots (each door) has some good subplots like…
Agree with you. The sub-plots are fun but the main plot is ridiculous. The awful capitalists in America have perverted a nice game into something evil which perverts young people's mind and optionally kills its players... And once you start the game you can't stop playing it.

What's the point exactly I wonder? A capitalist country's mission is to make money. What's the point of creating a game which you can keep on playing (whether you want it or not):
1 . Without paying
2. That kills you

Isn't the ultimate goal to make money? Can you make money out of dead players? Or maybe the evil aim of the USA is to exterminate the Chinese population by making them play this awful game. But in that case, the evil mastermind that sends free copies to everyone should have no problems getting money from the evil American investors. No matter how you turn it, this is just plain stoopid.

I'm 18 episodes from the end ( or 9) and the more it advances the more it's nonsensical. I'm still enjoying the show.. I've just decided to shrug off all the nonsense outside the game as just very basic and badly written anti-Americanism. Wouldn't be the first time.

I mean, I was confused...they were childhood friends so how were they not in touch...how did she not know what…
Yeah sure. But you wouldn't catch me dead using any form of social app. I know it's social suicide in our modern society but I've got my reasons which I won't develop here but the bottom line is that as far as I'm concerned the downside outweighs the upside of using them.
However my answer was just specifically directed towards what you wrote:

"how did she not know what was he doing or how did he not know she was getting married before her mom told him ... Did they loose touch, well!! It didn't look like that when they came across each other...they didn't look awkward or anything"

As I explained, it's not because you haven't seen each other for years or don't know what the other's been up to, that you have to be awkward when you see each other again.

I don't know if that's the case here obviously... There's probably a bigger reason because it's a k-drama but in real life, I understand most people use social app to keep in touch or secretly "stalk" other people ( I'm kidding here obviously but one of my aunt who is 66 is on ALL socials but never interact, yet she spends hours on it. When I asked her why she was wasting her time, she told me she was there to stalk other people's page and for the tea 🙄🙄🙄 )

BUT, the silent minority, of which I'm part of, don't use these app and don't find the situation of both main characters, who from what I gather are in their late 20s, early 30s, particularly surprising or unatural.

I mean, I was confused...they were childhood friends so how were they not in touch...how did she not know what…
Err Don't personally find it awkward. I'm in my late 30s and I've lost lots of friends through sheer distance. At some point it gets tedious to keep in touch with everybody so you just no longer bother. Doesn't mean there was a grand event that led to said separation.
People are busy with their lives, so if you don't bother, they don't bother and vice versa. In recent years, I've seen some friends I hadn't seen nor kept in touch for YEARS ( worse was 15) . Some of them were just going to my city, remembered my number or mail address and called me so we could catch up and yes. There was nothing awkward about it. That's just life.

And in my case for the record, I hate social networks so I don't even have instagram or Facebook, so when I say, we didn't keep in touch, we really didn't.

Hmm... I don't remember the officers saying the second body was also killed by a stone. From what I remember, they found blood on a stone but they never said that neither in the first and second case that the stone was the weapon which killed.

Are we getting parallel universes?Just a thought:Every time Great changes the future, a new branch is created…
LOL I actually wrote that theory just below yours but I went into more details :D Well not exactly the same as yours because my take is: yes there's different timelines but the show is purposefully showing them at the same time but there's no crossover.

Ok I couldn't resist and ending up watching the whole episode... I'm going to regret this when I wake tomorrow morning... or rather... in less than 3 hours... But whatever.

Personal theory given the WTF ending of this episode which is also something I've been thinking about since episode 1 but thought it was too far fetched is...

That Great is not really seeing 4 minutes in the future but rather everytime he goes under some emotional shock he jumps into some parallel universe in which time is 4 minutes late.
What is happening is not linear.

The first accident that happened with Great and the 4 minutes was the death of the woman who committed suicide. In the first attempt, she got killed, in the second Great called for help... But whether she died or not had no consequence in his life ( Daddy's rich so whatever). Hence it's perfectly logic for him to think he saw 4 minutes ahead.

By the same token, when he met Thyme for the first time... whether he apologized or not had not real dramatic consequences. Still instilling in his and our mind that he is seeing 4 minutes ahead...

HOWEVER

When Dome gets killed, this is where the main story is going in all sorts of directions.
When we are with Tonkla and seeing what's happening through his eyes, we're seeing the timeline when Dome was indeed killed.

When Great saves Dome and hurt Title we are in the 4th timeline or 2nd if we count starting from the moment things got crazy.

There's a timeline where Thyme and Great have a fallout and another where the both of them got together but we cannot trust this series.

Each character shown has its own timeline and I'm also assuming that when it comes to Win, we've seen him with the timeline when Dome is killed but also in another when Tonkla is the one who has killed somebody... which would explain that even though at the beginning of episode 4, Tonkla's DNA is found, no action has been taken against him.

I checked but the name of Korn is definitely different than the name we hear at the beginning of episode 4 which hinted at it being Tonkla's.

Further reinforcing this theory, Win tells Tonkla that somebody from a prestigious background has made sure he's taken off the case...
But at the beginning of episode 4, he's still pretty much in charge and his boss is even asking for an update.

Hence I think in short that we currently have 2 main timelines with sub-timelines:

1. Tonkla's little brother Dome is dead. Win is taken off the case and Tonkla and Korn have a fallout because Korn's been out of reach while Tonkla was trying to cope with his brother's death. The main suspect is still unknown but I would guess that in this timeline the main suspect is Korn, Great or somebody related to both since Great was there when Title killed Dome. Anyway in that timeline Win and Tonkla are together. We don't know if Great and Thyme are involved in that one. So there's actually 2 possibilities.

1a: Nan is dead. My personal take is that starting from episode 5, Korn's timeline is going to be this one. Nan is dead. Why ? Because it is the messiest timeline for him and this author loves to torture her characters. In this timeline. His business is going to sh**, he's lost his boyfriend, and now Nan is dead. So Whose bodies are now by the river? Dome + Nan.

1b: Nan is alive. Korn still in deep sh** but way less than if she was dead.

2. Tonkla's little brother Dome is alive. Win is still in charge of the case but Tonkla and Korn are still together. The person who has been killed is Title and Tonkla is the murderer. He's killed Title because he was threatening his little brother. In this timeline, Tonkla is just calling regarding the case but both of them are not romantically involved. Thyme and Great are together.

The Great we see is currently in timeline number 2c imho:

2a: He and Thyme have a fallout because Thyme thinks he knows about Nan.

2b: Nan is dead. Korn's business is going to sh** and now Nan is dead. So Whose bodies are now by the river? Title + Nan. That makes two bodies both related to Tonkla. 1. Because Title is an asshole who threatened his brother and 2. Because Nan is related to his boyfriend's shady business. In this one Great and Thyme are obviously no longer together.

2c: Nan is alive and Great and Thyme are err having a "party" to celebrate before everything goes to sh***

I'm not really sure I've explained it clearly but the bottom line for me is we're seeing all of these characters at the same time but they all evolve on separate parallel timelines.
Also we've never seen Great with Dome since he brought him back to the hospital... The logical thing would have been for him to meet Tonkla as he visits his brother or at least call him but none of that was shown. Obviously that wouldn't work with Tonkla thinking his brother is dead. Everything is made to keep us confused... BUt the botom line is Great and Tonkla cannot interact (in the series) because we're seeing them in different timeline/universe whatever you wanna call it.

Then we have some "bridge" characters: Win and Korn. We've seen different "them" in all timelines. The Thyme we've seen is only the Thyme that evolves in the same timeline as Great...
But the Great WE follow is under the impression that he sees 4 minutes ahead when he is actually travelling from timeline to timeline. Obviously the main issue with this theory is that everybody has several versions except for Great... BUT if all the Greats always make their jumps at the same time they all obviously never meet.

Ok 3 hours until I have to "wake up"... Maybe I need some sleep.

But I'm trusting myself on this one.. I'm.... 80% sure my theory is right. Ok.
Maybe 70... 65%

Welp seeing JJ's wenis (yes I am a 46 year old woman that calls it a wenis lol) was not on my bingo card for this…
Ah yeah just got to that scene... They did it the "Richard Gere's way" so literally pretty hidden in the shadows. [given your age I'm assuming you've seen "Pretty Woman"... a far away time when Hollywood wasn't so stuck up on showing bodies ( which I personally find pretty funny... Now you don't see anything and yet it's way more sexualized all around but whatever].

This scene is supposed to be sort of emotional I guess, but my first thought was "Why didn't he put his pants back before coming out, mood's gone anyway."

...
...

Ok Scratch that. I guess Tonkla fills the emptiness he feels by behaving like a rabbit. Win should know better than profiting from somebody who is obviously in a very vulnerable place but I guess he's got his brain in his "manly apparatus" so whatever.
