Ok wasn't too impressed by the first episode, but just finished episode 4 and it's really starting to look good. We'll see how the brothers to lovers dynamic plays out. I'm really not a huge fan of that trope but anything can work if done well. After all I ended up rooting for the main characters of Angel Sanctuary, and you can't do more taboo than that. I've got an older brother and a younger brother myself so that type of story just... erg... But it was really well done, so if it's organic and well written, this might be a winner in my book.
Also. Taiwanese BL. Definitely the best. They don't produce as many BLs as Thaïland, and it's not always with high production value... such as here, but they truly ring different. Japanese BL are a hit or miss... but when they're a they're a hit they're a HIT. South Korean BLs... so far pretty meh albeit for a few exceptions... Thaï BL. Lots of garbage, too much fanservice. Some very very very hidden gems.
So, though I don't watch Taiwanese BLs that often... Honestly, for me, in Asia, they're the best. I needed a change of scenery after Lovely Runner but I just couldn't watch another straight romance because comparison would be inevitable... ( I watched the first episode of Queen of Tears and couldn't get into it, so this is definitely not the right moment to watch any straight romance for me). So back to some BLs until I get over my Lovely Runner withdrawal syndrome... and I feel this one, might be a good choice.
Withdrawal symptoms >_< Started three shows, already dropped one, definitely not the right time to watch it... Sticking with the two others but honestly they feel flavorless.
Can't believe I watched one hour of fanservice without it bothering me one second. This is truly a first. So glad we got it though. We deserved it after 8 weeks of torture.
I was going to rewatch it all over again... But I think I'm going to wait a couple of months. I want to try rewatching it as if it's the first time again.
Lovely Runner, you were indeed lovely from start to finish, I'll be rewatching you in years to come and you'll go down to my "ultimate favorites"' list.
I watched the last episode with a very silly smile on my face the whole time and God do I need this, given what's currently happening in the world. For a couple of hours, I lived through the best fantasy romance of the year. Seon Jae you don't exist in real life, but it's okay. I can always see you when I want to forget my daily worries.
Thanks to the writer, casts and crew who made this little gem for us AND thanks for being such an underdog! It was such a wonderful show... with the added bonus of absolutely NO ridiculous PPL.
... I think we all rate depending on our own criteriums。Personally, I rated both the same.Marry my husband was…
I think it's more a matter of how attached you are to the characters and personally think the writing failed in that area. You can have the best plot in the universe, if you don't know how to make your viewers care for the main characters, it's never going to work.
Not coming in till i finish ep15😆 Don't want to be spoilt for the last 2 eps. Gonna enjoy them as they come!
Gonna do the same. I tried to watch episode 15 live since my level of Korean is pretty Ok but it's lagging so much, I'm throwing the towel. I'll be back commenting here once I've seen ep 15 on Viki, and I'm staying away from this comment section because it's gonna be the usual... people commenting without checking the spoiler box and I don't want to be spoiled for the two last episodes.
Currently watching the TEO interview... It's really funny. Gives me a huge smile but the host can't hide how much she's shipping them. They're both so embarrassed they end up laughing out of nervousness ^^ I feel for you SolJae!
You know... I do agree on your comment... But not on this series ( though the Dad in the bathroom is personally…
Hmm... I personally don't see the point of fleshing out the serial killer's backstory... unless it was a thriller. Personally, it really doesn't bother me since the only thing that's important for us viewers is that he's hindering our mains' relationships... but he's got no other deeper connection such as I don't know he killed Seon Jae's father or something of the sort. As for the rest of the points you made...
I get what you're saying... But I think here it's more a matter of taste or maybe you aren't in the right mood to watch the rest of the series? I understand your point of view but apart from the Dad's bathroom scene, none of the scenes you felt were overly long felt long to me :D Also lots of people have complaining about the brother's storyline, but I find his scenes hilarious.
This is one of this case where I think your argument makes perfect sense... But we could argue on the contrary, and it would also make sense if you see what I mean :D
It’s interesting that most people seem to love KHY due to EY(which I’ve not watched). But I first saw her…
It's Ji Sung. I'd watch him in anything :D The very first k-drama I've ever watched was Save the Last Dance for Me in which he was the lead but I truly became a fan after Defendant a couple of years later. Only reason I haven't watched all of his drama is lack of time :D

Glad to know I'm not the only one for SnowDrop. And Extraordinary You is one of my ultimate favorite k-drama so I'm glad it brought you back to K -Drama watching. There are good years and bad years in dramaland, but 2024 has been terrific so far ^^ Particularly for tvN. They had Marry My Husband, Queen of Tears and Lovely Runners... I'm sure they must be reaaaaaaalllllllly happy.

Yeah... Main issue is that I'm self-employed and working from home so keeping my discipline has been a struggle for the past two months... I failed terribly. So I've got to admit I'm mostly relieved it's ending because unfortunatly, I do need to put food on my table ;) This being said, I've pretty relaxed for today and tomorrow. I decided to completely give up on being productive in any way. I'll do what I can, but I'm not going to fight against the impulse of Lovery Runnering the whole day on youtube or MDL. It's impossible.
But no watching on-air dramas for a while after this one. I'm not taking risks anymore though I doubt any drama is going to top this one this year.

Doubt you'll see anything. It's lagging like hell.
>_<

Just woke up and don't need to rummage through the comments hanks to you :D
Gonna watch it ASAP :D
