In any case, this love story would be impossible if Sasin wasn't hot blooded.
He can't be perfect. His very straightforward attitude also comes with a price... which is being hurtful and careless with his words at times. He's bound to change after meeting Saenkaew though.

Nah. A cooling off period is necessary. You don't go take such a life-changing decision without some time... But Ok I get it. I know in my country it's like that. If nobody has come, the divorce goes as agreed.

This being said, my take is they're probably doing that to make it more difficult to divorce. Might be a political choice.
You can see it as making the divorce more difficult BUT on the other side, it can be seen as making is easier for couples to stay together.

Also, I doubt it's exactly 30 days. That might be the minimum delay, but in reality both parties probably have to agree on the date of the appointment which make Hao Ming's tactic an obvious trick that would lead any woman with money to sue.

Yeah but their divorce is by "mutual agreement" i. e they both agreed to divorce. The idea here ,as in other countries by the way, is to avoid going to court, hiring a lawyer and all that jazz to divorce. It's actually a very sound, quick and simple procedure to separate.

In the case of not both parties wanting to divorce, mutual conflicts etc... That procedure wouldn't be a good one. You go to court and you communicate through your lawyers which is long and also very costly. In the drama, going through that procedure would definitely get to the ears of Hao Ming's business rivals.

If Hao Ming is playing that game in order to not divorce, Xu Yan can just sue him and they go to court. End of discussion. That would also put Hao Ming in difficulty because everybody would know they're divorcing as well. She hasn't done it by respect for his family... but she could. Well obviously this is a drama so we know how this is going to end but still.

This procedure is an OPTION for couples who want to divorce and avoid all the hassle of a classic divorce, but it's not THE ONLY OPTION to separate.
I would assume this is something China implemented given the rise of of people divorcing.

At least that's what my country did. In the past, couples all had to hire a lawyers, it was long, it cost money etc. when not all marriage end badly and could be settled with just a mutual agreement.

In your comment you're assuming this procedure is the only way to divorce which is just not the case.

Actually that's a pretty logical thing. I don't know for other countries but in my country, except for food, there's a 15 days guarantee period when you buy anything. If you buy some stuff, you've got 15 days to change your mind and ask for a full refund without discussion. Same with divorce, there's a cooling off period.

This is life long decision, and unless you've made a proper contract before marriage, separating assets is a hassle. Even if you still maintain cordial relationships, it can turn nasty, so obviously you need a period of time to think it over.

I don't know the stats but I'm sure that if we check the data... Most people just don't go through with it in the end.

Sorry to sound like a broken record but:

1. I get your logic but that's you as an "all knowing God of your story" knows. That's not what I felt as a viewer. My issue with most of the arguments is that all of those can be summarize by a lot of feelings such as concern, affection, gratefulness etc. Feelings that exist when you love someone but doesn't equal love. If you have a deep friendship with someone, the same feelings can occur. Love is a whole other beast.

Now as per your logic, he must have fallen in love with her as he was pretending to... which is a solid argument... But in that case, I think the drama would have done a better job by making the reveal that he knew earlier and showing scenes in which you could see him emotionally struggle. Which they just didn't so not valid in my book. The logic is right but the execution isn't. I won't interpret what the drama failed to show.

2. The question from the original commenter goes up to the divorce. Nobody is contradicting the second part of your post. The only difference is some of us see it as him developing feelings and others consider him realizing he always loved her.

In both cases, it's the same direction except, if you forget the fact that he still hasn't properly apologized, I'm still not convinced his current feelings are as strong as Xu Yan and hence, even if it wasn't for the cruel break up an manipulations, I wouldn't want them together. Emotionally wise as far as I'm concerned, her feelings are currently way stronger than his... but he's getting there.

This is I think the main difference with people like you who considers he always loved her, if we remove the fact that he needs to apologize, you already consider that in terms of feelings, they're the same. I don't.

For the first thing... It's actually a Korean thing. If you ever go to Korea, people are gonna make comments to your face about your looks... If you don't fit to certain standards, you can be sure they're also gonna tell you " You're pretty, but you would be prettier if you lost some pounds" etc. For food... I'm not too sure. THIS being said, when the trending feature still existed on youtube, the most watched videos for the Korean Youtube were all about food.

I had typed a pretty long answer and then typed a wrong key and lost everything...

Too lazy to retype so I'm gonna try to make it very short:

If I had since that, I might be like you. Whether he had feelings or only now, I'm rooting for him though. I really want Xu Yan to be loved by the man she loves.

2. I'm not really sure, he's gone as far as knowing her whole past apart from her being raised by her grandma during part of her childhood. Every single time she referred to her childhood, he might have thought she was just spinning lies to get some brownie points. Also, regarding the height measurement, she said she remembered but she never mentioned that she didn't do it, only her sister. So the jury is still out about how much he knows.

3. For the treatment of his family, we're back to the same argument. Gratefulness doesn't equal Love so it depends on how you interpret those scenes... Personally I just see it as him seeing that under all the lies there's a good heart... But again, that doesn't necessarily means he was attracted romantically.

4. I don't know how to interpret the preview for episode 26... I really do hope we don't get more drama for the last 6 episodes but it seems all his business partners have a vested interest in him divorcing so they're playing with Xu Yan's head. I really don't want her to hurt him as he has hurt her. Getting back at each other for every single wound you've received is really not healthy ground for any relationship.

Ok I see the scene you're referring to... But again for me it doesn't show that he loves her. He is sincere sure. But to me, as written, he just came to realize how much she did for him and his family and that she truly loved him. He's grateful. But being grateful doesn't equal love.

I think the comment section is divided between those like you, who considers he's started to realize his own feelings i.e he always loved her, he just wasn't aware and those like me, who consider that he's just starting to develop some but that he really had no feelings whatsoever before.

The scenes in episode 14 were needlessly cruel beyond measure, especially when she bared her soul and he figurately slapped her in the face. If he even has an ounce of affection for her, he would never have behaved that way imho. He could have rejected her attempt in a more restrained less humiliating way.

Yeah but you're probably referring to a scene in episode 22. I'm on episode 21 (Viki watch) so my perception based on what I've seen is that. I might change my mind tomorrow when I'll see it though.

Also... the thing is when you get married, you marry the other person because you love them... so if love turns sour, it's not like there was nothing in the first place.

Here, one did a transaction and the other married for love, so based on what we've seen from episode 1 to 21, my take is "he didn't love her than HOWEVER he's NOW starting to have feelings".

Well his attempts aren't... but his face when doing it is definitely the cutest. Just sayin'

He didn't believe she loved him. He thought she was acting. He only realized she was sincere when she asked for divorce without demanding any of his assets and quit her job.

Basically she doesn't want anything even remotely linked to him ( since she can't be sure she got her anchor position because of her hard work or because she was backed up by him).

He treated her like dirt, because he thought she was a gold digger and that she should be happy he was even willing to play the good husband to maintain the charade.

As for loving her all along... I'm at episode 21. I'm not sold on this idea as of now. For me he's starting to really understand how much she did for him and his family.... Also she's attractive so he wants her back.

Basically, he's mostly feeling guilty, though there's an ounce of jealousy there ( her accepting being helped by a stranger for her company instead of HIS money) and budding feelings.

Some people considers that he probably loved her all along, he just didn't know it...
But honestly I fell to see this. For me, he's starting to have feelings now, because now he's really starting to see how much of a good heart she has, instead of just seeing her as this opportunistic and materialistic woman he thought she was...

But for me, it's still too early to call that love... Though... He's veeeerry cleaaaaaaarly attracted to her. But attraction is not love.

The kiss was... interesting. I was telling my screen "OH COME ON' GUYS. GET A ROOM!"

Also Hao Ming is turning really reaaaaaaaally cute in most recent episodes, so you'll end up warming up to him... even though he's still has a long way to go.

You know Hao Ming might be pretty book smart but when it comes to relationships he's below primary school level. 🤣🤣🤣

Of course, I enjoy watching him squirm to get back in his wife's good books, but I have to say, I do enjoy watching him acting all smug like he knows what he's doing only to be proven wrong time and time again.

This being said, so far (ep 19), I don't think he's in love with Xu Yan. He just realized she wasn't in the marriage for his money so he's feeling guilty for the way he treated her... but he doesn't love her... He just regrets that he has lost the ideal wife he wanted.

So now that they're both honest and open with each other, he thinks they can get back to a satisfying business relation... Except this idiot still doesn't understand that Xu Yan doesn't care about the money and status. She is of course an ambitious woman who takes pride in having made something out of herself without her parents' support, but the one thing she REALLY craves is love.

Hao Ming... Just stop with you endless calculations... Go LEARN about what her life has been before she met you, what she went through etc... That way you might be able to offer her something she truly values ( or not).

I think one of the biggest gift he could give her would be to make her parents realize how much they've wronged her and help her patch things up with them especially her father. But that's a long long loooooooooong way coming.

I'm rooting for him though. I can't forget the cruelty of episode 14... but I'll give him a pass because he's the ML and he genuinely wants to help her... not out of love for the moment but out of guilt... But it's still better than everything he's done before. At least, he's being sincere this time.

Also Jiang Lang... Not rooting for you either... You seem to be the same breed than Hao Ming. Why does this girl only attract the same type of a**hole?
