Just curious, but have you ever watched Ji Sung and Hwang Jung Eum's drama "Secret"?https://kisskh.at/7761-secret
I did. It's actually in my watched list. I watched it when it aired and remember being obsessed with it, waiting each week was torture. Bittersweet ending though. I understand the FL's choice, but I'd have preferred she took back her son.
EDIT: I checked... Gave it a 9.5 actually so fairly good. I probably removed 0.5 because of the 2ML's mother who made my blood boil... Makes me think I was planning on rewatching this show one of these days.
First story: This young lad doesn't have a m***ing problem he's got a porn problem. If you spend every evening watching porn, it's no wonder you start to think with your d*** every single second of the day. I'm not sure if I'm supposed to be amused... I'm not. I just find him stupid but again all teenagers look stupid when you've reached the age of having teenagers as your own kids.
Anyway, everybody saying this series is only interesting for the second story... That's the only one I was interested in when this series came out anyway... but I hate to skip anything when I'm watching something so I'm still gonna watch everything in full.
I'm obviously a bit too old for the target audience so I won't be judging that one too harshly... I'm currently in a drama slump so I think this is a good series to watch when you don't feel like investing too much time in anything.
The kdrama must not have been pre-produced because they clearly changed the script of the kdrama. Already with…
Have you read the original webtoon? I already got spoiled the ending of the webtoon which is why I decided to drop this until I was sure they changed the ending of the drama...
But given what I've seen, I'm no longer sure I want to even try watching this mess... Also I hate Bani. She's a terrible female lead. She's like these poor passive let-me-walk-over-you and waiting-for-prince-charming-to-do-all-the-heavy-work-while-I-self-pity-and-cry-over-my-poor-miserable-self type of character. No balls, no spunk, just a useless passive doormat. I can't even understand how any guy would fall for her... Sure she's pretty and... so what?
Would have worked 25 years ago but now? She's just unsufferable。
WHY is Hong Min Ki listed among the main cast? Dude made a 2 seconds cameo... literally. Also the poster on MBC youtube channel features Kim Min Chul if I'm not mistaken but err... he's not into her so why put him there?
But I'm sure to drag this out, they're gonna make Mr First Love come out in episode 11 for some additional useless misunderstandings as if there weren't too much of them already.
I'm all for love triangle/quadrangle when it's done right but this series remind me of old shoujo mangas where authors had to drag the stories with useless drama and fake rivals to sell more volumes.
This would have probably been a fairly decent show if it had been 8 episodes instead of 12 but hey, Lee Chae Min is hot...
My shallow self doesn't know if that will be enough to tune in for this mess given I'm already fed up will the whole lot of them just by watching the snipets on youtube. But who knows?
I might try sado-masochism if Jae Yeol is end game, I'm a sucker for that face.
Since Yun Gap is the baby who ruined Gang Cheol's ascent to Godhood, there must be some cope-out ... But though…
It was not confirmed... I just thought nobody talked about it because for me it was fairly obvious for everyone. Gang Cheol is stuck in Yun Gap's body and doesn't understand why. Normally he should be able to go in and out as he wishes, yet he can't. That to me is the only logical explanation. It wouldn't make sense to introduce another character in the mix.
THIS being said in my memory the baby that was brought to the shaman grandmother was the same baby that saw the dragon.
So I checked...
The baby that saw the dragon was picked up in some sort of conflict by a soldier BUT doesn't seem to be the same baby than the one that was brought to the shaman grandmother... That baby who saw the dragon looks older...
So two theories:
1. I'm completely misguided and indeed the baby who saw the dragon is not Yun Gap.
2. They used two different babies because filming babies is difficult and these were not scenes in which we were supposed to pay lots of attention to the way these babies looked.
Either way... I'm no longer 100% of the baby being Yun Gap... But I'm sticking with a 50% "certainty" on the matter.
I’ve a theory Gang Cheol will exhaust the pearl then instead of dying he will be a complete human and that’s…
Since Yun Gap is the baby who ruined Gang Cheol's ascent to Godhood, there must be some cope-out ... But though your theory is appealing, it just seems "too easy". I hope it's something else. This being said Yun Gap was supposed to die young as predicted by the Shaman. The only reason why his body is still there is because he is possessed。 So I don't mind Yun Gap definitely dying and Gang Cheol taking his place.
I'm sure Yu Ri feels indebted to Yun Gap but come on'.... We all know who she is going to LOVE in the end 🤣
She's not supposed to serve him. He wants her to and she's been refusing to all her life. She's basically a natural…
I don't exactly know how shamanism works but from what I understand it's a give-give relationship. It terms of hierarchy though, she's below, hence she serves him.
I found it a bit difficult when they switched from Kim Young Gwang to Yook Sung Jae for Gang Cheol. But Episode 5 was such a blast, I think he now embodies his Imugi role perfectly ^^
Also since he has a smaller built, it makes his acting all pompous all the more ridiculous which works way better in my opinion. Nobody is taking him as seriously as they should, given his almost-god-like status but it definitely would have been more difficult to believe if Gang Cheol had been in Kim Young Gwang's body.
Lots of people were making comments regarding the fact that it's too bad they switched actors... but I think it's now pretty obvious why they made that casting choice. Also Yeo Ri is supposed to serve Gang Cheol, but she doesn't behave as if she is. I think that that dynamic also works because Yook Sung Jae is less imposing so they're buddy-buddy friendship just works very naturally.
Loving the confused Gang Cheol btw. Episode 5 was the best episode so far :D
Still waiting for the end to start this one again but I watched some extracts for episode 7... and err. You know... In a relationship it takes two to clap. From what I see, Bani is basically waiting for the dudes to do all the heavy work and passively wait to love the winner of the battle. Relationships don't work like that. As much as the toxic gf is annoying as hell, at least she's giving it a go whereas the other is letting all misunderstandings pile up over nothing.
Jae Yeol already told you how he felt, either you accept his feelings and you kick his ex's ass and claim your seat, or you clearly reject him and let him deal with his toxic ex not giving a shit about whether they rekindle or not (which they obviously aren't 'cuz she's a b*** but she at least would have ruined this relationship and Bani my girl, you'll also be responsible because you're a passive character in your own story). Clearly girl has literally no (figurative) balls and is very wishy washy.
I'm starting to feel the webtoon's ending is not that bad, since as far as I'm concerned, she doesn't deserve any of these two. Stop being a doormat and be active to get what you want. Gee... So unlikable.

How different is the drama from the webtoon?

Too bad his mother wasn't also killed 😭😭

... I'm guessing the "She" is a typo? Or are all river snakes female?
But the ending song is horrendous sorry.
