Yeah. I've got 2 brothers. Doesn't change anything about what I wrote. But we can agree to disagree.. Don't care as long as it's not toilets I'm going to. Also glad I'm a woman and don't have to go to male toilets. Though I did have one very awful experience in the past where my colleagues manage to break them or whatever... Don't remember the cause. But they had to do some heavy work to repair the whole thing. Took over a month during which we had to share. 😣 Lasted 1 week... Well that was a nice watch... I ended up binging the "last" 12 episodes in the end. Pretty casual watch... I was never on the edge of my seat, but I did have a good time. The plot twist was predictable from the first episode though... Whenever a character is a tad bit too nice, it always ends up this way.
I don't really understand the need for a second season though... But will probably watch it when they make it.
Overall I'd rate it between 7.5 and 8 ( I still have 30 minutes left so that'll depend on how I feel later when finishing this). The only thing preventing me from giving more is the lack of suspens and the "disappointing plot twist" of the last 4 episodes. Even though It was predictable , I was hoping they'd come up with a little something to surprise me but nope. EVERYTHING was predictable. In fact, I'd say the last case was the least interesting of the whole show.
Still enjoyed it though.

My God it's been a while... I don't even remember. I'd say the show is just mediocre and Leng's acting is terrible. It's not his fault, he's inexperienced and the writing is terrible... But next to Ohm who is far more experienced, the difference in acting performance is just jarring. I say give it a try... If I remember well, I struggled from the 2nd episode but still hang on up to episode 6.

At first people were on her side... but as she was caught lying more than once... and kept on posting about this whole debacle for weeks on end in spite of people urging her to stop... In fact, even when people had moved on from the topic... She kept on posting about it. How it affected her health etc. Pictures of her putting on a lot of weight etc. So people switched.
Honestly, she could have ridden that wave and come back to the industry if she hadn't tried to destroy her ex-husband in the process. He stayed silent during this whole debacle and this at the end, made him win the media battle. He later said that he didn't say anything because he didn't want to paint his ex-wife into a bad light since they did love each other at one point...

Some OCN shows were great (Tunnel is a favorite of mine for instance) but others were too dark and violent for my taste... So personally, I'm not that sad about the channel disappearing since its more "edgy" content was never to my taste.
But I think it's more a financial decision... Crime stories are great... but a channel with only one genre.... Not gonna work long term. People like to switch genres. I actually thing TVING is going a good job. Quite a lot of good series coming from this channel for the past 2/3 years... But I understand it must be a bit frustrating if you're more into procedurals.

You can argue all you want about the proofs and not proofs or whatever. Dude's a groomer who had a terrible attitude towards this girl, he's yet to prosecute the family for defamation. Everybody's been waiting for it... Still hasn't done it. That's the biggest reason nobody buys his version. Defamation is an extremely heavy crime is South Korea, you don't start allegations without being sure of your case... This individual knows he won't be able to prove he didn't go out with this girl when she was a minor ( because yes it was legal, but nobody in South Korea thought it was right and rightfully so) hence he's not doing it.

I'm currently watching it... It's enjoyable but pretty standard... It's good but not great. If you want a drama with biting-nail suspens... that's not the one... But if you enjoy weekly investigations... It's pretty good and the investigations are resolved every episode and a half so that makes for a pretty laid back watch. FL is a bit irritating in my opinion especially at the beginning but she comes around.

( If I enjoy a drama I usually buy the books if I liked them, imho, books are most of the time way better - anyway, bought them at the same time I bought the novels of Hidden Love). When it comes to romance, nothing beats a good novel in my opinion... Also, I find a leisurely pace in romance books more appropriate because the "empty moments" are usually filled with the thoughts of the characters... something that is pretty common in anime but strangely not done a lot in dramas... I mean in dramas, you sort of have to guess what the characters are thinking based on their attitude or they show characters saying one or two sentences out loud or in their heads... but it doesn't have the same depth as the feelings described in novels.
Basically when a characters is looking outside/at a wall/at the ceiling (you get the drift) in a novel, THINGS happen inside. But in a drama, it's just a person looking outside. Sure you can guess that person is dealing with something inside... but since you don't have access to their thoughts, these scenes feel like fillers to me especially when there's lots of them.
But I disgress. Anyway, the only caveat is... I can't read them at the moment... I have a principle of not reading translated versions of languages I'm learning... I've been learning Chinese for almost 4 years now... but my level is still not good enough to read full novels so the duology is currently accumulating dust >_<.
I actually really enjoyed "The Blue Whisper" last year so I bought the traditional Chinese version (I'm learning both). The traditional Chinese version has 3 volumes... and 9 months in... I've finished about a third of the first novel ( I write each sentence in both traditional and simplified Chinese and make sure I pronounce them right before moving to the next one so that also explains that)...
I'm getting faster obviously... But needless to say... I don't think I'll be able to read the novels anytime soon, but I'm definitely interested.

There's a couple of barely touching that is considered "kisses" from the ML and there's one scene in episode 19 or 20 where the kiss is supposed to be deep but unfortunately instead of zooming out and playing with the angle, they didn't... and hence it's pretty obvious, there's nothing but a slight peck when they're touching because often they just don't.
I honestly don't care if there's kisses or not in a romance drama but if they show them, I like when these scenes are well done. So far, apart from Bai Lu's dramas, I haven't seen a single C dramas where they were good. In Hidden Love, they played with the angle well so even though I knew there was no tongue involved and they were basically moving their lips to simulate, It didn't take me out of the story.
Maybe the kisses in this drama get better after ep 20 dunno. I'm taking a break for it until I'm more in the mood to finish this series.

It's made to be entertaining and it does its job well but I would expect an MDL ratings of 8.7 to be a nail-biting type of drama and that's not the case. So far I'd rate it a solid 8.
It's entertaining but there's absolutely nothing I haven't seen before and the story and characters are pretty standard. It's good standard... but not extraordinary standard if you get what I mean. The absence of romance is a +. I like my romance but I don't like when they force it just because it's a k drama.
Also I haven't warmed up to the FL yet so I'm definitely not shipping these two.

Err We'll see. I know lots of BL watchers tend to only watch BLs but that's not my case. BLs is a subgenre I enjoy from time to time but it's not what I watch most. I'm also extremely warry of BLs overall especially those from GMMTV which I personally considerer pretty mediocre in general albeit for a few exceptions... So unless people rave about it... I usually don't bother. I'll keep your advice in mind though.
