Nah, okay I can't even be bothered to finish episode 11, I think this is a drop for me. I'm so lost and idk if…
Nah it's that messy... But come on'! Don't you want to add it to your "completed list"? I know it's a stupid reason, and you're just gonna waste another hour of your life.... BUT still, why quit the race so close to the finish line?
I like them together in the first two ep but rn I'm on ep 8 and i had to stop watching it for a while because…
Well up to you... You're near the finish line... But if you didn't enjoy it until that point, it's not gonna get better for you... Trust me... I personally found the show pretty mid... but if I'm past the middle I usually commit to the end. I'm still here, show didn't get better BUT episode 11 managed to confuse and/or piss off even hard core supporters.
My advice would to just drop this show... instead of putting it on hold because I can bet the overall ratings is gonna take a nose dive by tomorrow evening which definitely won't give any additional motivation to finish this mess.
Well I was already thinking this show was pretty mid from the first episode but I've got to say episode 11 is on a WHOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOLE other level.
Though I was no longer expecting anything... they really managed to surprise me. I have NO WORD... and I don't even know what to feel. I'm honestly baffled.
Glad I was already Team " I don't care, I'm just gonna finish this for the sake of completion" because if I was Team " OH MY GOWD this drama is sooooooooo good", I would be on the verge of breaking my screen ( but obviously I wouldn't... it's expensive 🤣.)
Grandpapa is an ass*** I'm just at the beginning of this series but lying to Khanin about the death of his adoptive father already tells me what kind of person he is... THIS on top of lying about the fate of Khanin to his own son.
Bottom line Grandpapa is a serial liar. He's garbage and I wouldn't be surprised to discover he's the big bad by the end of this series.
Is it me or is the father just too chill? I mean if my father told me he had hidden that MY SON has been alive and well for the past 22 years while I was grieving him and my wife, the first thing I would have done is PUNCH him in the face and THEN ask for explanations.
I understand it's all about protecting Khanin or whatever but WHY not tell the truth to your son? WTF Grandpa?
Also that reunion.. Just weird. Grandpa, Papa and Khanin all discussing around the table like it's normal.
HELLO! I don't know either of you! The F with these people.
Anyway, can't take this show seriously at present... But they sure did spend some money.
HOLY MOTHER OF FUDGE! That trailer is INSANE. Is it really from China? Like really?Well as long as it's available…
It's not that I don't think they're Chinese it's just... There was this Chinese youtuber who was explaining that anything even if it's only released internationally has to be approved by the board of Censorship or whatever it's called.... And I mean... That trailer is REALLY explicit so I want to keep my hopes up... but to be fair I just can't believe it (yet).
(Also I haven't watched Revenged Love either... I'm waiting for all episodes to be available before binging because I read the release schedule for that one is all over the place.)
He did say แฟนซัปพอร์ต - fan support.Thada is such a fan of Armin's, completely in both…
Oh... I listened to it five times but I couldn't hear the ซัป part. You have a better ear than me then ^^ Still I got the meaning so that wasn't a total loss 🤣
Hmm... Well, that's actually a very honest review. I started this show for the same reason you did and was also dissapointed... Basically all the ingredients were there to have something good and yet the show is just "meh". While I never thought deeply about the "why" it basically comes down to all the reasons you mentionned... Couldn't have said it better.
So far I'd rate this one a basic 7 or 7.5. It's watchable... Not bad per say.... but not good enough to invest 12 hours of my life. If I had known I wouldn't have bothered.
I'm still gonna wait for the end to pass judgment but again 2025 is definitely a bad year for K dramaland imho... I've seen bad to mid shows only, the only drama I watched that I'd rave about this year is "Study Group" even if I think it lost some steam by the time we reached the end.
Well I'm sure most people have noticed it but just in case. In episode 8 with the foodtruck scene, when Armin says:
"It's not food support, it's fan support"
to which Thada answers "It is a fan feeding you"
(I'm not really sure it's what he says actually except for the "fan" part... I checked other languages and they translated it the same but looking up the word in a thai dictionary, there was nothing that corresponded to what he said... Since I have no Thai subs to check, my personal guess is that he said แฟนปอร์ด which would be pronounced Fanport ( colloquial thai often skips pronouncing consonants when two are followed so the "r" would be silent pronounced by a Thai). That's just conjecture on my part though.)
There's a pun here with the with the word "fan" and แฟน . แฟน means "lover/boyfriend/girlfriend" in Thai and it sounds the same as the anglicism "fan" with a Thai pronunciation.
They arbitrarily stuck to English for the translation I guess, given Armin said "Food support" in English as well, but I like the ambiguity of that sentence were from an outside perspective it's "fan" but Armin and Thada both know he doesn't mean that type of "fan".
Agree with what you said. I am quite picky with choosing a BL series to watch. This one I instantly loved from…
Err... Sorry but My Sunshine Night was terrible. One of the worst Thai BL I've seen though arguably not the worse. THOUGH I will agree with one thing... The secondary couple Noh-Peterpan aka Rain-Phayu was its only redeeming quality. I personally stuck with it only for this couple.
The only reason why I gave it a 4.5 is because:
1. It's a Thai BL, I tend to be very generous with the rating because every time I think we've hit the bottom of the barrel, Thailand manages to surprise me with dramas that are even worse. Hence when you get something that is somewhat decent, you bet I'm gonna be generous. 2. Noh-Peterpan. Peterpan has the best chemistry with anyone really. Dude can act. Also the 6 packs doesn't hurt either.
To be fair the show isn't that bad when you start it but at some point it takes a nose-dive into the abyss and it never recovers from it. Also the secondary couple never got the amount of screentime it deserved.
So... Err as many have said before this drama really reminds every SINGLE SINGLE person that they're SINGLE😫
BUT there's one SINGLE positive thing about it: Better watch this ALONE. With all the NC scenes and cringey lines I can't imagine the amount of roasting I would get if my boyfriend was sneaking up on me while I'm watching this.
Also this drama is missing a #: #Fantasy
Thada doesn't exist in real life. Stop giving me false expectations.
So I'm not gonna rewatch this one... I gave it an 8 back then because I enjoyed it overall but it's an 8 for a Thai BL (which bar is lower than the underground because my GOD I have seen some AWFUL things from Thailand but I'm not gonna rant about that)... Mostly because they were trying something different and I'm a sucker for Billy anyway so I give 2 points just for his sheer presence.
Yes, It's stupid SUE ME.
If it wasn't for that I'd have given it a 5.5 because honestly it was messy.
Anyway, I recently started to read the novel... And I find it interesting to see that in the novel, at least were I am ( chapter 3), it's Tharn who is like REALLY into Phaya who basically doesn't care. Like dude is not even hiding how he feels. Maybe this changes later who knows... But from my memory in the drama it was mostly Phaya who was into Tharn, not the opposite. Maybe they changed it because people tend to prefer when the Top is doing the pursuing who knows. On one side, I personally enjoy seeing the "bottom" being the first to fall for a change... But on the other, in the novel, Tharn sounds like a horny 12 year-old whenever he speaks about Phaya. It's really off-putting. Dude is supposed to be 26 if I'm not mistaken. At least in the drama they changed that character trait because otherwise that would have been unwatchable. Crossing my fingers, he gets some additional brain cells by the end of the novel.
That was the useless info you didn't know you didn't need.
No opinion yet on the novel in question. I was mostly curious about the novel because the drama although pretty messy tried to cram too much in 12 episodes so I'm hoping the novel is more clear and contains less plotholes. This being said... the novel seems to move fast as well so who knows if it's not as messy as the drama? We'll see.
Did I have the time to watch episode 9 today?
NO
Did I watch the preview for episode 10?
YES
Do I regret watching it?
YES
So to watch or not to watch episode 9 tomorrow OR to save it until next Monday to not have to suffer through 1 week of torture?
There lies the question.
My advice would to just drop this show... instead of putting it on hold because I can bet the overall ratings is gonna take a nose dive by tomorrow evening which definitely won't give any additional motivation to finish this mess.

Well as long as it's available on Viki I don't care.
(Thanks btw, I'm not on X or any social network for that matter so never heard of this before.)

Makes my eyes bleed but Good for you 🤣
