I just finished ep 15, I really thought at beggining that they were going to be friends at the end, even tho Junhwa…
I don't think he's a bad friend. Jun Hwa was dishonest as well. He knew that Eun Ho was in love Deok Su but didn't know she was a girl and used that to his advantage. If Jun Hwa was really a friend, he would have told him they loved the same person regardless of the gender. Instead he confused Eun Ho by telling him, he was in love with a girl. On that front, he was extremely manipulative. I'm glad Eun Ho didn't bother taking his feelings into account since Jun Hwa didn't bother either.
Also, when Eun Ho learned who Jun Hwa was, he said that wouldn't change their friendship... Jun Hwa sure didn't do the same when he learned Eun Ho was the crown Prince.
Anyway, they did Jun Hwa dirty. They built this very lovable character and then completely destroyed him... If he doesn't die saving his greedy father, Eun Ho or Deok Su, I don't really know what they're gonna do with him... He's gone too deep into the evil hole to get a proper redemption arc unless he sacrifices himself for the cause.
Bit irritated that the two top reviews are obviously from people who didn't watch this drama entirely. Lavender Rebel has had no update on this drama since she watched episode 5 last month (5th of January - and it's not because she didn't come on the website, her last update on her profile was two days ago), and Yasser Aubeeluck has supposedly completed this drama 26 days ago according to his profile.
Basically people chasing clout, wanting their reviews to be among the tops for likes and/clout and hence posting first as it obviously makes your review more visible.
Is it useful for potential viewers?
You bet it isn't but does it matter that some people are gonna waste their precious time basing it on your groundless recommendation months later when people won't remember the exact date when this drama has aired?
Hopefully some kind soul will upload a proper review for this show. I personally don't know if I'll bother. I think giving the time I gave to this is already enough but we'll see.
At least you can rely on this comment section for once. Some people are still enjoying the show, some have left the boat and others like me, are just gonna finish it for the sake of finishing it so there's representation in opinions, no hate for hate sake nor groundless like because of the actors featured in the show.
I've lost all hope for the romance and friendship aspect, but I've endured Lord Cheon enough so I REALLY HOPE we get a proper payoff for enduring watching his greedy a** for 16 episodes, otherwise I'm gonna be even more pissed than I already was.
You avoid watching shows during the Ramadhan?I'm just asking out of curiosity. I know people who avoid watching…
Oh right ^^Good Luck then. If I'm not mistaken it's next month so you'd better avoid shows starting this month ^^That's why you're planning to watch a show you can binge I guess ^^
I'm so upset that this is airing during Ramadan T_T
You avoid watching shows during the Ramadhan? I'm just asking out of curiosity. I know people who avoid watching entertainment programs during that period of the year but from what I gather it's not really an obligation...
The mint chocolate? I found it slightly cute. I was surprised there wasn't a coffee chain providing all the work…
Nah the mint chocolate is brandless from what I gather. There's the usual Kopiko Coffee sweet they take to feel "awake". They always have to feign like they just drank some coffee.
Advertising Coffee brands such as Starbucks or the likes is not that simple in South Korea. There's just too many Coffee sellers. They're all Starbucks lookalike ( I don't know who copied who but it doesn't matter) but honestly they're everywhere but there's no particular chain that really stands out. I don't think they need any advertisement given how literally everyone is drinking these fake coffees full of sugar in South Korea. When I went there 6 years ago, they even had trash bins specifically for the cups in the streets of Gangnam (dunno if it's still the case).
But it's true... they didn't do cosmetics... But I think they didn't expect the show to do that well. Brands probably put most of their money on When the Stars gossip and didn't plan on advertising this show. Otherwise we'd probably had PPL from the beginning instead of just on the last episodes.
At this point I barely even blink when they show up. What is fun is noticing which advertisers are the PPL du…
LOL Still Kopiko is still the ultimate winner of 2024 though... and I can bet it's gonna be the same for 2025 ^^
Motel California is struggling with theirs though... I think I've seen the usual Kopiko criminal but they're also trying to sell some weird Eletronic gizmo to make your face tighter. I haven't checked how much it costs but I wish them the best of luck ^^
I'm not the type to usually drool on actors but MY GOD does Seo Kang Joon look fiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiine on these pictures. Sorry Xin Yun Lai... Gotta change my avatar RIGHT. NOW.
Personal rate between 8 or 8.5 ( we'll see next week). Good and solid with very few frustrating moments. BUT nothing new or refreshing so it's a one watch.
I'm on EP two and I'm tempted to put the director on my do not watch list. Why is this so freaking bad. All the…
Actually the first 4 episodes were the best. After that it went downhill so if you don't like this show for its beginning... Well don't waste your time and drop it now.
SO depressing preview for tomorrow... But at least the show's ending. I didn't get what I was looking for in this…
... That even though Jun Hwa learned the truth in episode 15. He's still not supporting Eun Ho. I'm saying "seems" based on the preview, but from what I've seen dude is still a jealous JERK. Still gonna remain an ass*** to the end.
RIP my favorite character. I'm throwing the towel. Maybe you'll get two minutes of redemption by the end of episode 16.
SO depressing preview for tomorrow... But at least the show's ending. I didn't get what I was looking for in this show... But let's cross our fingers that the finale will be satisfying at least on the revenge aspect. I will see how I feel after watching the last episodes... But currently I'm thinking of rating this between a 6.5 and an 8.
Err... isn't it for the US?What about in Europe? I can't believe a drama starring this two still doesn't have…
GEE! Not a good news then. I'm tired of all that multiplication of streaming websites. Now if I want to see my k dramas gotta subscribe to Viki, Netflix, Disney + AND NOW Kokowa?
Are they serious? Do they think our wallets are bottomless? Also Kokowa's prices are just ridiculous. Most of their shows are also available on Viki for EU viewers yet their Basic standard subscription is more expensive. Literally 70€ a year when Viki costs me 50€. Sure they're doing a promotion now... so the prices are the same but no free 14 days trials if you get that special 30% discount.
WHO ARE THEY KIDDING?
No wonder people are increasingly getting back to piracy. I want to support the industry but there's a limit to my funds. I hope Kokowa crashes and burns in Europe and goes back to where it came from.
As for Undercover Highschool... Well... I'll do things undercover myself sorry.
Err... isn't it for the US? What about in Europe? I can't believe a drama starring this two still doesn't have an official platform for European viewers...
At least it's not a sad ending... Never liked his 'friend' with glasses anyway he's a judgemental ass***, the…
'Course they do, don't worry. I wouldn't say it's bittersweet. It's a very good ending based on their circumstances. People expressing regrets are just a bit upset we're not getting the Thai-drama-BL type of ending, but this one is realistic for Japan.
