I don't think it will impact this private channel... On a side note, as sad as it is, it was bound to happen. I used to work in aeronautics and it's been YEARS people working in the field have repeated and repeated that Boeing was botching its maintenance on their planes to save money. Don't want to say too much to avoid problems... but I've seen it first line. Every time I take a plane, I cross my fingers that the plane in question is an Airbus. Hopefully if they lose enough money, they'll start to care about the safety of their passengers more than the dividends of their shareholders.

Don't trust it, just try it for yourself. This poor show was rated even before the first episode had been aired.

Personally I'm enjoying it, the only flaw so far is that there's absolutely nothing original. It's very classic and doesn't stray from what you would expect from the genre, so If you're not in the mood you might be bored.

I was looking for something funny and fresh and gender bender is my jam so I'm glad I gave it a try.
If you're still hesitating, just wait until all episodes have aired and a proper ratings comes out. Based on what we've seen so far, I would rate this show 8/8.5 but we're still in the beginning, things might heat up later.

Also, I no longer trust any MDL ratings. It can be a good indication but at the end of the day it's all a matter of taste. The Judge from Hell has a very high ratings. I personally hated it and dropped it after 6 episodes. Blossom has been heavily recommended to me and while I'm enjoying the show, I wouldn't give it a 10 so far and some of the most popular shows on MDL are those I wouldn't recommend to my worst enemy.

So again taste... and mood. If you're not in the mood for that type of show, even the best show is going to bore you.

I'd say MDL ratings can only be (relatively) trusted MONTHS after the show has finished airing. Usually there's some form of "mob ratings" in the first few months, people loving or hating the show voting in masses whereas you get a more balanced opinion when late viewers who have missed the hype watch said show.

I'm not talking about the preview. This scene is a pre-release scene or whatever... I don't know how you call it. It's a small scene from the upcoming episode that is released usually one or two days before the episode is aired.

is a spoiler.

This what they're hinting at in episode 3 so I'm also thinking the same...

BUT it is still a spoiler, since what you're mentioning is only shown at the end of episode 2... Hence spoiler tag is needed.

Hmm... I don't get the sus vibes you're talking about. Sure, his father is who he is... But it feels to me that he's kept his son out of his shady business. It doesn't necessarily mean Jun Hwa won't turn against our leads at some point given how they're basically not on the same side... But given the vibes of the series, It wouldn't surprise me that Jun Hwa ends up helping them in spite of knowing he's going against his father... But only time will tell ^^

Episode 3 was pretty silly. Put a smile on my face from the first minute but now I'm ready for them to start romancing a bit. Since I'm into sadomasochism, It would be nice if Jun Hwa was the first to know the truth :D Love him.

Not surprising given how many dramas these Chinese actors and actresses do every single year. The numbers are just ridiculous. Also, it seems Chinese people like to have anorexic actors and actresses given how much online shaming goes whenever they put on a little bit of weight. Whether males or females they all look terribly unhealthy... If it wasn't for all these filters and make up, most of these actors and actresses wouldn't look good on screen... For a simple reason... Your skin is not gonna look good if you're underfed and overworked, plain and simple.
Korean standards of beauty are already pretty ridiculous but the Chinese go way beyond that. Truly sad.

Personally I don't think you should trust any ratings given before at least half of the series has aired. Btw, from what I remember it was already rated BEFORE the show has aired... like a few hours before the first episode aired. Dunno who does that. Don't care, but whatever.

I haven't watched "Captivating the King" because of that yet. Out of ALL the gender-benders I've seen in my life, that one was the least convincing. At least based on the few videos I saw.

2024 coming to a close and I'm just popping here to declare my eternal love to this drama. It's hands down my ultimate favorite this year. I hadn't been invested that much in any K-drama for YEARS. It delivered all the right feels and then some in spite of its many plotholes. I'm probably gonna do a yearly Lovely Runner marathon each year just to get back that nostalgic feel and watch my (complety unrealistic) boy Seon Jae being in love with Sol with this amazing soundtrack. Just perfection, right balance between suspens and romance.

I honestly don't mind negative opinions. It's not gonna make me dislike the show. Just like overwhelming positive comments are not gonna make me like a show I don't. No shows can please everyone. I don't understand the need for validations either from hardcore fans nor from haters. What's the point of arguing or nitpicking about this or that. Neither are going to change their opinions after getting angry online. Complete waste of time.

At episode 10, my potential rating for this one is 8.5. It's good but there's too much politics for my taste and not enough time between our leads. I'm more interested in the romance aspect than the political one and we get more of the second than the first.

Not a bad show though, cinematography is great and I like both leads so far. I just wish we had more time together instead of spending most of it on all the backstabbings that are going on. Hoping that trend changes for the 24 episodes to come but we'll see...

Pace is slower than I thought... but I'm enjoying this so far... I just think I'm going to take a break with something else after episode 10 (or maybe not we'll see, I'm on episode 9 now)

This being said all I want to say is WU SHAN!!! If you can't marry her MARRY ME INSTEAD! I think your woodcraft is wonderful, I don't care about generals and warriors, I prefer geeks anyway.
