ikr? I was excited for the ml actor to finally be the main but it was so underwhelming. music was good, costumes and color palette dazling but the whole thing really does not deserve the 7/10. 🫤

O I love Ning Ge!!!!! He is such a fun person and I enjoy watching him and his buddies (Fang Yi Lun in particular ha ha ha) - singing, acting, goofing around. I liked his rendition of PoB version of Wei Shao but it was FAAAAAAR from the original character and Ceasar Wu was so good embodying that smart as a whip, distrustful and entitled SOB per XXI century standards.

Alternately, mydramanovel.com. My version (unless I use VPN) is really bad and so if you type the PoB in the title it may not show up, so I go all the way to the bottom where there are tabs across the page (just above the final notes from the website makers) and one of them says Novels. That will give you a list of translated into English things. BTW if you want to read something really good, I recommend pretty much anything by Qian Shan Cha Ke and https://mydramanovel.com/deng-hua-xiao/ is my absolute favorite as a showcase of puny FL who does not ask for help, does not seduce, does not scheme, but in the end gets the revenge she wanted. If you read just the first chapter, I guarantee you will stay up until week morning hours for days.

I have never seen props this bad😂😂😂 all the hunting animals are stuffed and stiff - I think I would prefer CG ones. And the kitty in the snow was just creepy. It doesn't cost that much to take a few shots of live animals in the similar decor and then combine with the fake props. Wow. The story is decent, but the devil is in the detail. Still
I am enjoying the idea of the lady taking a lover and being the one who does things to him. Smoking!

I can see why people rated it lower than I thought - on ep 82 I still am trying to figure out why the FL got herself in such a pickle without any common sense of what could go wrong. While the script is built up to the VD scale like what we had in Nirvana in Fire, but seriously - this is so forgettable.

Deng Kai got his due in the recent one against bigger name and actually played not the bad guy but someone really, really likeable for a change.

i was surprised how much I enjoyed this regardless of shady tactics of the characters that I am usually staying away from. This was the focus on the "bad" characters from other dramas except here everybody was center stage. I liked even the ending - she had the ace in her sleeve for sure!

we are more and more onto strong women with children standing alone with a dude coming to appreciate them (Spring Fever, Eternal Joy with You)
