I am so disappointed. I was so ready for s2 and the ep 2 just blew it up with the hand gliding fantasy and Lord of The Rings falcons picking up burning explosives. I am dropping it. Maybe at some later time I will go back just to see what they came up with yet to end this.

I just started reading Zhu Yu. It is rather promising

tomorrow season 2 of Eternal Brotherhood is starting. The three "idiots" were awesome in S1 and LYN was just starting to get his main roles when they shot this. His role in Heros was pretty challenging as well

not really. Nothing like the book

It was consistent with the script, but like you I checked out at the killing of WL. The two dudes killing Liu Yan scene was atrocious. Everything afterwards was just blah. Like with Love in the Desert this will stay with me only as a series of pretty actors, costumes, vistas and interiors.

I was not happy with the adaptation of the novel to start with, but they did a decent job of creating totally new characters in the drama based on the general premise in the book. So, I am finishing Legend of Zang Hai, which I did not read, but put on my to read list while reading Chasing Jade. Reading - in my case- takes the edge off from passively watching something. If you feel like reading about a kickass FL I can strongly recommend the novel Deng Hua Xiao.

I do hope it will not take over the plot. I can understand the reason for throwing the relationship with a woman into the mix but I am really interested in his dedication and struggles. Romance could make it less

would it be better if ML had strong qi and lightness skills along with martial arts, being a poison master, playboy who can turn any woman into his slave and any man into his servant? And while at it - he should have a few artifacts that let him walk on water fly through the air or teleport oh wait - if he had it wouldn't the drama be like the "better" version of The Lord of the Rings where Frodo stays home but sends eagles to Mount Doom to drop the darn ring? Not making fun of anybody, just trying to say - let's be aware of what our expectations are.

o wow! that is comprehensive. It's fascinating to watch this like a revenge master manipulator drama only to jump into supernatural phenomena like the zombies in the ep 1 and all the science/geomancy practical aspects of tomb and secret passage thingy. I am at the edge of my seat. Thanks!

I am concurrently watching 2099 and this and they both have ML anti-hero who fails and repeats on the road to the goal. I LOVE BOTH. while Joy of Life "everything's going my way" omnipotence is entertaining, this gets me in connecting with the average person's struggle.
