When Yeo,Ri "brought" him to the village (actually first time he followed her) it spelled disaster and so he is not the fun guy as he sometimes appears to be as black imugi. He had been in ascetic cultivation for 1000 years on the brink of ascending to heaven, so if anything else he is pissed as hell and not benevolent to do things for others (particularly humans). She hates him as well - originally because he "disregards all laws of heaven and earth" as she said in ep 1 and after he possesses the body of Gap she dislikes him even more, but realizes she needs him to bring her friend back. So it is a collaborative effort. At least that is what I got.

can someone enlighten me as to why would a serpent agree to sacrifice the pearl inside himself (which I presume is his essence of being supreme being) if his overall goal (for which he has pursued FL for over a decade!) is to return to his original form for which - again presumably - he will need said pearl. I have not yet seen spark of love between the serpent and FL and he is already agreeing? what am I missing?

even a dog lover may not know that picking up dogs like a baby (facing their belly and placing hands under front arm pits so the puppy is hanging like a human baby) is actually bad for their joints. Not criticizing or pointing fingers at anyone-I had done my share of bad things before someone pointed it out and I got educated on the topic. And I bet most people think that petting dog's head on the top of it by non-owner is also OK, right? 🤣Animal trainers do their best on the set, but some actors are just too busy with playing their roles to actually in the moment remember everything about every aspect of what they are supposed to do.

I am soooo longing for the kdrama's way with the viewers (take no prisoners and do what you want with the leads and second leads) in chinese series. I would love this drama to end with the FL actually shipping with 2ML

it is pretty interesting. No major innovations in the theme/plot so far but the whole slow burn romance is taken to another level where ML has to pretend to be FL's brother while she is courted by another man.

this is the third c drama this year that featured cute puppy/dog. I like this trend but I still cringe at how the actors handle the animals.
