I feel sorry for the Chinese actors who work nonstop on completing drama after drama - 4 full ones (40 episodes) or even more (if mini or micro dramas) every darn year. Two to four months at a time with literally no time between ending one and starting another filming. And the conditions on the set?! Did you see the heat/steam coming out of their mouths in the final wedding night scenes??? That set must have had below freezing temperatures! OMG! That is how things are over there: unbearable heat in warm months and freaking cold in the winter. That is why I appreciate even mediocre effort, but this was cute.

we all know that the plot is just an excuse to show ML being nasty/forceful to FL (which for some people is sexually arousing) just to end with either "but we love each other nevertheless"(which justifies more of intimate scenes following the nastiness) or full swing tragedy where everybody/somebody dies (which gives moral core "they deserved it" to others)
