for a big budget big stars drama this is embarrassing: never mind CGI that look like first attempts in grade school class on computer animation, but the fake stones and (that killed me!) horrible editing including CLEARLY VISSIBLE GLASS EYE of the galloping horse in ep 16!š¤£š¤£š¤£ Seriously?
That entire ending was very anticlimactic. Because the guys that did the really bad stuff didnāt get almost…
good points. Even if the ending was blah I still liked how it made me wonder, think and feel for the characters. Sorta like in River Code - but this was more nerve wrecking, I admit. Thanks for the conversation. Till the next gem another time!
Well, I finished it, but I will probably review it tomorrow. It sucks that they spent most of episode 36 on a…
I was hoping that the excitement and mastery of the first 30 episodes will continue to the end, but it got progressively worse and in all honesty, I cannot give more than what I gave this show at ep 31 (9/10).

My words and sentiments, exactly. I am choosing to view this kind of ending as "of course they are lucky that bad guys with power money and connection were actually discredited, if not punished, and our favorite characters survived in a rather down to earth realistic way". Because for all intents and purposes the investigation and trial could have yielded no or limited evidence (we don't know what documents Wan's father had kept and what she was able to deliver to the investigators) and even emperor's court could have delivered merely a slap on a hand rather than serious punishment and cleaning of the prefectural government. But I am not satisfied with the lack of info on the Qi family fate because I wonder if ML's merit was used for offsetting their execution and placement in some slavery/government brothel. The current limit of episodes is 40 for c dramas so I would have liked 2-3 more that would address the loose ends. PLUS, I really wanted Qin Yi to get more than just barbecue party.
yep, 3 min each, so maybe 2 and a 1/2 hours of action
ikr? Kuaishou thrives on short releases, and they do it well. Too bad I can't access it. Hoping someone will post the link here once it's available with eng sub
I watched both Memory and 11 Left and am aching for more! Incredibly talented and already accomplished filmmaker/director. I wish he could do the completion of 11 Left even if it was done on purpose, I so want to know the other avatars and the game ending. I read this about 2017 but am not 100% sure it's the same person, although it really hints at the genius. >>>Lin, a dissident visual, performance and conceptual artist whose piece, ShƬwÄi (āRallyā), led to his arrest and two-year detention by the Chinese government in 2012. After his release, Lin moved to San Francisco and launched a traveling exhibition of his work to Vancouver BC, Tacoma, Portland, Las Vegas and Minneapolis. Artist Lin Boās work, QĆn (Caught), presents a sly philosophical puzzle that investigates the murky intersections of fact and fiction in the crafting of art and news<<< (https://artistsrep.org/performance/caught/) If anybody knows where to find his other works (even without eng subs), please share!
I understand Qin is obsessed with FL and he āraisedā more like groomed the little girls. Implying that he…
Unlike other shows that depict the action (with adult actors, I must say) this show is REALLY excelling at pointing the viewer to what is happening without actually showing it. This show is like the book: it's all in your mind, so yes, it is triggering. I am hoping for redemption of the viewers not just by the characters getting their fair share of punishment/justice, but a larger point by the director and the creators.
Well, I watched through 32 and I canāt wait for QY to get his comeuppance! He and those two old farts definitely…
it's nerve wracking both while watching (I have to guard not to bite my nails!) and now waiting for the last 4 eps. How are they going to wrap it up???
