hoping for the comedy because I love both MLs

I am only on ep 4 but so far it has been pretty good, both in serious and funny aspects. ML actor is really putting his heart out and I am going to see him in other dramas, I am giving this 8/10 on ep 4. Let's see what the infamous 19 will bring.

I had to drop it at 5. It was really pathetic

I do hope so because at 2 and 3 I am bored out of my mind with ridiculous story and slow development. I do too feel it's a waste of time.

pick Edit Subtitle tab between the quality of picture and speed of playing and start correcting line by line if you know Mandarin. If not, then put whatever you think would sound better. They actually look at subtitles more than comments as many hysterical viewers post on comments things that are not in IQIYI's control. My subtitle changes made them adjust stuff within a month or so

he is such a good actor, but could we love not just him as a professional, but also a character??? He takes on these awful roles while not exploring (hopefully yet!) comedy like My Uncanny Destiny. He was hilarious and I would like to see him more flexing the muscles in that genre. Apparently, the roles he plays now are better received.

I watched on Netflix 2022 anime No Doubt in Us where Emperor and Empress switch bodies and even the beginning of this where she draws the FL is exactly what NDiU shows! Weird...

I like on location shots in full sun and with clear sky! I am not that familiar with male actors from here, but I think female actress is pretty good.

starting with ep 20 it is feeling as this series was filmed in 2021. Unless someone foresaw the need to remind us of pandemic handling tropes this year as well... Plague again... But this time there is more thought and reflection behind "just lock them up"

good suggestions, thanks! I had seen all but Bloody Romance so it will be worth checking. I am noticing second leads here, played by Miles Wei and Zhang Ya Qing as the princess, but it is not really her power, but her father's and Zhi Shou actually resents it. There probably is no equivalent of role reversal as historically it was rather impossible, even at the beginning of Song Dynasty when women were inheriting property and ran business. Freeloader dudes are aplenty here and in other dramas, but nothing like a man in dire straits that humbly begs for and accepts help from a powerful female with humility. Sigh....

only one thing gets IQIYI to correct the subs: make comments on subtitles on each and every episode if you are a member with privileges! I did that with Kunning Palace and they fixed it. If enough people complain, they will take it as a hint.

what is the characters age difference?

well, behind every man there is a woman. In Blossom they are almost equal. I mean, I am looking for a precedent in c drama where it is a guy who is down and out and needs/asks a woman to be his supporter. Confucian tradition does not support such situations hence my original inquiry

does anybody know c drama where it is the woman who supports the guy in his endeavors the opposite what it is like in this one? Just checking

It was done really well considering how other shows (Love and Bid Farewell for example) creeped me out and left questioning the purpose of showing violence and particularly rape in such close up and detail with no redemption value. This drama did it in a meaningful way, that is focused on the effects and the best possible handling by the lovers who are facing the aftermath of a sexual assault. Please comment on your experience after you see it! I love hearing other people's opinions about what this episode evoked in them.
