Yes, that was pretty obvious. The question is, what he gonna do next, and how his disappearance had affected Ye…
Yes . I am also wondering about that. This could be the reason for her unraveling . Maybe this is where she dissociates into warrior/assassin mode. Him being crazy and all, this is going to take can interesting turn .
I agree with you in this aspect, I actually thought he was smarter than the rest of his brothers and can’t believe…
Yes true karma it is! I feel like everybody is turning a blind eye to her trauma and what she has become or they are trivializing it . She definitely has some sort Dissociative Identity Disorder (DID) as someone commenting below . It’s becoming more and more clear
I think before anything, FL needs to tell him about how her family was involved with the edict. ML may even want…
Yes she even sometimes considers her husband as a ‘to do ‘ list and does things for him because she owes the Ding family . I don’t know if there are any strong feelings there given how damaged she is . I would not be surprised if she completely unravels and asks for a divorce. Let’s see.
I’m adoring this drama for an FL who is saving everyone else but actually she is the most damaged by trauma.…
This is the same screenwriter as Feud? No wonder - I loved that drama and Bai Lu in it. Now I can see the similarity in the story structure as well. I agree.- the FL is the most dangerous and yet the most damaged , unhinged and vulnerable character. There are more sides to her yet to come out in the open. I guess we are going to get a glimpse of the swordswoman soon. Bai Lu has truly excelled in this role- such nuanced portrayal as usual!
This is my thought . Maybe Qin Shuang never existed. Ye Li created Qin Shuang in her own head to keep her company after everyone at Li academy was eliminated /left. But that begs the question as to why she was kept alive ?
So basically Muyang’s son is feeling inferior to Captain Qin . He is clearly taking out all his inadequacies on him. I think Qin may become a double agent in the future because of the way his dad and half brother are. Let’s see. He is definitely pushing him over the edge
Personally, one of the reasons I feel this drama is such a breath of fresh from more recent historical cdramas…
Exactly ! Love the analogy. Her personality has deep currents - don’t know when those ripples and waves are coming to the surface. It’s the same with the ML - I think that is something they both share

I think the story is being told in a very methodical fashion with a hint of mystery in the back story and everything is slowly being revealed. To me it is almost like I am reading a book and I am loving it . Impatient people and those expecting something else from here should clearly go watch something else that fits their taste
Ep 17: I don’t like how the third uncle dismissed her actions as her settling accounts. Wanting your identity back and correcting something that went seriously wrong because of her dad’s family is not just that - she is asking for justice. Also when did trying to fulfill dead people’s wishes and giving them peace and justice become self serving? I liked her uncle a lot before the grandmother died - but in this episode I did not like him. Yes he lost his mom but he is turning a blind eye to everything his family did . How can she be his favorite then if he cant even understand her? She is allowed to be cold hearted, ruthless and determined to a self destructive level in this case especially after everything she went through. Where was this uncle then?
can you say why without any major spoilers bc I havent read the novel
The drama is a more believable story and very interesting. I love how Bai Lu’s character is written for this drama. . And of course she is excellent as usual in it! The leads are balanced beautifully. Lots of mystery and intrigue. I was also looking forward to this pairing and I am not at all disappointed !
