Yes th ey have humanized Duan Cu in this drama - but you can show strength , independence and survival quality with all that. And let’s hope they do justice to that . Yes they will never write another Li Xun again - my most favorite character and my all time favorite drama . There they showed how strong the FL was in spite of heartbreak and everything else they were truly a power couple . There is potential to create a power couple here. Let’s hope they do it right .

Yes I am a L&P fan and I loved Li Xun’s character - how can you not? - and he was not at all a red flag . I hate that term ‘red flag’ . People are multifaceted . These days as long as the FL is a ‘strong character ‘ they get away with a lot at the expense of the ML . It’s very hard to come across well written and balanced strong woman. (Not perfect - but well balanced) . I like how they have written He Simu.

I think they are having fun adding fuel to the fire. They seem to be taking both sides . This whole section is a waste of space

I would forget the novel for now and just watch the drama for what it is otherwise it will get confusing.

It is very clear that actors do what the script asks for. So there is no point attacking actors . Having said that I think he is still playing his character well.

Disgustingly weakening the ML seems to be the norm these days . Let’s hope that will not happen. If it does I will be the first person to downgrade my rating. Because it is not necessary to do that especially for this drama . And so far I don’t see them doing so. I have dropped several dramas because of this. And I am loving this too much so fingers crossed 🤞

I don’t think it is stupidity. It is more like being unsure in a new place and everyone around him is more powerful. I think they have inserted the right amount of that uncertainty to this arc. And to top it He Simu has become this person who is so cold and unreachable for him. That is a lot to deal with. In spite of this he has been holding himself well. To make him be this person who is not vulnerable or be affected by any of this would be unrealistic to me. I think that is the difference between him being a human and her being a ghost spirit. He is still clever - he is on survival mode though. But at the same time he wants to prove his worth to He Simu. He is scared of losing her - so he is being persistent . He does not know anything about what she thinks of him . Yeah he went in head first into this and did not worry about ending or consequences but he is realizing that now . To me that is a more realistic portrayal .

I have not read the novel but they always make changes and improvise for adaptations. If you mean in the Void world? I don’t think so at all. He is behaving like how anyone would in a new unknown place. He is confused scared and insecure and we should not forget that he has those abandonment issues. Also the person he loves is very different in this realm. He is still young too - people forget that he is 19 and this is probably his first experience. So like I said before I don’t think he is naive or immature or silly. I think Arthur Chen is an amazing actor and he is really well paired with Dilraba. They are both doing an amazing job with their roles and I am loving every single minute of this .

The cinematography and CGI is beautiful. The costumes too. It is a beautiful drama in general. I just think people in this particular forum are complaining for the sake of it. It’s a little crazy

I have not read the novel. And honestly - he is a mortal in a new realm and he is confused . So I am not finding his behavior silly
