And the drama ending is definitely not a tragic one - rather it’s one with hope

I have never denied that the open ending was very apt for the story but reading the book ending does make you crave for that ending . It would have been beautiful just see those scenes emoted on screen by LYX and Bai Lu

Yes that imagination of the setting is the most difficult part and then to emote there? Actors who can do that are the most amazing of you think about it. LYX Aand Bai Lu are extraordinary actors for sure.

I am a masochist as well because I did like the ending - but does not take away the fact that the y were sadists first

Just read the last 5 chapters about their reunion that was posted and now I think the drama producers are a bunch of sadists who just wanted to deprive the viewers of this beautiful ending

He is beautiful and he has portrayed the fragility aspect of the TTJ character very well

Yes he did - a lot of his actions were always driven by what others did to him and then they labeled him as evil. But then he also realizes that the devil god has designed his life that way so he could replace him. That’s when he beats him at his own game. It was really a great story saying that fate cannot dictate everything about you

I disagree that the Bo’re life was draggy or insignificant. In fact that dream sequence made each of those characters understand a lot of things about their life and provided LSS and TTJ all they needed for what happened in the end. They all did something different from who they represented in the Bo’Re life. In fact if anything the Bo’re life drove a lot of the characters’ future actions.

I never thought of LSS as not understanding worldly political conflicts and how that influenced her behavior. That’s a very good perspective. And yes this XINXIA had a lot Buddhist /Indian elements to it.

Exactly she realizes she loves him and deeply cares for him that is why she could not kill him and was trying to find other ways. She sacrificed her love for the greater good by focusing on the mission. Later TTJ understands why she is the way she is and helps her achieve her goal by sacrificing himself. Till then even he thinks she is very selfish and unloving. And YES I am glad she was not diminished into a mere love interest. In fact she drives the story from the beginning to the end

Well people are biased here since it is the female character. If it were a male playing that role they would have happily lapped it up. LSSis a complete badass and I love her

I would say expecting a completely happy ending from this drama is unrealistic. So the ending they showed was apt and good

I don’t think TTJ was evil at all - he was a nice blend and took care of his people well- it’s only the ones who treated him badly that got the brunt of his evil side

Yep acting so well in front of a green screen must be so tough

Bai Lu is absolutely amazing in her character which is also pretty complex and she brought out all the nuances. Watching the second time . They are so well matched - both go toe to toe and it’s wonderful to watch that

Yes an apt ending! Kind of happy, peaceful and open ending

Exactly the ending was very apt for the drama - we did not need a happy ‘good beats evil’ ending for this one. TTJ’s character was so complex and I knew half way into the drama that it would have an unique ending
