For once I'm not that bothered by a love triangle, it actually makes sense that she has feelings for the only guy that she thinks cared for her in her previous life and even sacrificed his integrity for her; she'll naturally realize that they don't match. It's actually so well written that I don't mind. Plus XW jealous outbursts will never fail to make me laugh.
I think that the FL portrayed how being abused, used, and threatened continuously has a extremely negative emotional,…
Maybe you're right, I haven't thought of that, I was just so glad to have a FL with functioning brain cells for once, I didn't want it to change no matter the giving reason
At ep 15: the 1st part was a masterpiece. But I'm not sure about this one, I'm okay with the slave thing and all, I'm even okay with that damn pricesse third wheel, but I hate how the dumped down the FL, she used to be resourceful but now she's reduced to getting played by a maid, standing still while someone is coming at her on a horse clearly intending to kill her, not figuring out that someone is faking...ect. It's just half the season so it could get better, I hope it does.
Did the cast say why they accepted the roles? Let's put aside that the story has no plot, I made my peace with that. but no plot usually means more fluff, and there isn't even that! The protagonists barely interact and when they do, they either eat in silence, or are interrupted by that damn phone or a third person or it's about business. So I'm left with a show with no plot and no romance. They do have chemistry when they let them interact long enough, which happens every 3 episodes. I definitely should've waited for it to finish before starting it, it would've been less frustrating. And now they'll surely squeeze in a break up while they were barely together to begin with, maybe then they'll interact more.
Kudos to them for making me interested in the political aspect of the show, I can't remember the last time I didn't skip it besides "one and only" and "scarlet heart ryeo"
It's so good, it's the 1st time I love both protagonists equally and I don't mind the SML. XW 's scenes with his uncle are so touching, and I'm enjoying the sisters interaction
I'm at episode 12 and the relationship is so toxic. He doesn't respect her or anyone for that matter and she follows him around like a lost puppy. I don't know how anyone can stand him as a leader. Does it get any better? Does he change or realise his mistakes? Does he fight for the FL a little?
Finally a review mirroring what I'm thinking while watching the first 12 episodes. Most review are saying it's great so I'm sticking to it but I can't stand how arrogant the ML is and how spineless the FL is. I guess I have to accept it's just not my cup of tea
I think that the editing is good. Not only is it fast paced but last season a lot of people complains that there…
I don't know, I love the fast pacing but sometimes you need to slow down for the important scenes, most reunions were rushed like checking a todo list. I personally rather not seeing every character in an episode than this jumping around . With that said the pacing for the 4th episode is much better
Tanya freaking Taealha out with her psychic abilities will never get old. Kudos to LJG ans SSK for pulling off a reunion and a kiss with barely 2 minutes of screen time and no time to build chemistry
I'm at ep 2, Is it just me or the transition between scenes is too abrupt? they throw you right in the middle of a scene, It feels like a recap of an episode. Hope it gets better b/c the story in itself is good and fast-paced, it's just hard to get into the show when they jump around from one character to another.
I wish Shangguan Qian would've chosen differently but as much as I love Gong Shang Jue he really didn't give her a reason to, unlike GZY who proved over and over again how much YWS is important to him. All she got was ambiguous words, reminder of how little she meant to him, letting the guards search her without an apology, torturing her without as much as a visit afterwards. She would've been dumb to give up a lifetime of revenge for that. I'm sure he loved her in his own way but they were both too broken to show affection. That's why those type of couples never work, b/c someone needs to take the first step and they never do
I want to root for the ML and I like that he's not perfect and has room to grow but they do have a point, he's far from being qualified to be a leader and he's holding on to the position b/c they said he couldn't do it and for personal reasons. Maybe that will change.
Kudos to LJG ans SSK for pulling off a reunion and a kiss with barely 2 minutes of screen time and no time to build chemistry
