I'm at episode 12 and the relationship is so toxic. He doesn't respect her or anyone for that matter and she follows him around like a lost puppy. I don't know how anyone can stand him as a leader. Does it get any better? Does he change or realise his mistakes? Does he fight for the FL a little?

Finally a review mirroring what I'm thinking while watching the first 12 episodes. Most review are saying it's great so I'm sticking to it but I can't stand how arrogant the ML is and how spineless the FL is. I guess I have to accept it's just not my cup of tea

I don't know, I love the fast pacing but sometimes you need to slow down for the important scenes, most reunions were rushed like checking a todo list. I personally rather not seeing every character in an episode than this jumping around . With that said the pacing for the 4th episode is much better

Tanya freaking Taealha out with her psychic abilities will never get old.
Kudos to LJG ans SSK for pulling off a reunion and a kiss with barely 2 minutes of screen time and no time to build chemistry

I'm at ep 2, Is it just me or the transition between scenes is too abrupt? they throw you right in the middle of a scene, It feels like a recap of an episode. Hope it gets better b/c the story in itself is good and fast-paced, it's just hard to get into the show when they jump around from one character to another.

it's weird seing the heroes gang up against the enemies, it's usually the other way around. Got to love the trope reversal in this show

I wish Shangguan Qian would've chosen differently but as much as I love Gong Shang Jue he really didn't give her a reason to, unlike GZY who proved over and over again how much YWS is important to him. All she got was ambiguous words, reminder of how little she meant to him, letting the guards search her without an apology, torturing her without as much as a visit afterwards. She would've been dumb to give up a lifetime of revenge for that. I'm sure he loved her in his own way but they were both too broken to show affection. That's why those type of couples never work, b/c someone needs to take the first step and they never do

I'm at episode 22, the second half is more profound and I really like it but I feel like they changed direction with some characters

I want to root for the ML and I like that he's not perfect and has room to grow but they do have a point, he's far from being qualified to be a leader and he's holding on to the position b/c they said he couldn't do it and for personal reasons. Maybe that will change.

Can someone recommend me a show with a couple as intense as xiang liu/ Xiao Yao? I have watched till the end of the moon, LBFAD and LLTG

I couldn't stop laughing at XL being low-key mad she gave someone else poison aka the couple bug and then her reassuring him that it was actually for him. They're so cute in a dysfonctional way. I'm trying really hard not to ship but they can't write things like that and expect people not to ship.

I thought I was prepared and was detached. I even thought they didn't deserve to end up together since they kinda never actually fought for each other but ...... just no, that was just too realistic, they deserved better. Still worth it though, Bai lu nailed the emotional scenes.
