When her role requires high-pitched baby voice, she has to use it, it’s that simple 🤷‍♀️ You really think directors would let her dub the role that way if it wouldn’t be required by the role? Maybe try to read the original novels first before criticizing 🤷‍♀️

The problem is that Wei Zhi character was written like this 🤷‍♀️ The novel describes her as cute girl acting cutely and childishly sometimes. The novel even describes Wei Zhi’s voice as sometimes babish, cute and high-pitched. When I read the novel I just knew people will have this problem with Wei Zhi 😏 I hoped that the script will change this a bit, but apparently not, they let the Wei Zhi character the same as in novel. Not that I would mind that much, but I don’t like how people hate on Esther because of her cute voice 😔 So I always hope for more matured role for her, maybe Speed and love, the novel is promissing and if they didn’t change the script, Esther’s character should be more serious girl.

Did you see her other dramas? She was actually praised for her acting by directors and costars many times 🤷‍♀️ She is also well known to be able to act cute scenes the way that they are not cringy even though they scream cringy in script/novel (and most other actresses really look cringy in these scenes). Wei Zhi character in the novel is often cringy, so don’t be surprised she acts like this🤷‍♀️
But she can also act perfectly emotional scenes, she even made the director cry after performing sad scene in Sword and fairy, she is very real and you feel her emotions.
But you would have to know the original character and script/novel to be able to judge her acting. Most people who read the novels to her dramas say she just became that character and portrayed it perfectly.
But nevermind, I heard that Wei Zhi is probably her last cute character, she will move to more sirious roles now, so maybe than even you will be able to see how well she can act 🤷‍♀️

You are not the first one complaining about Wei Zhi not fighting for her comics, but.. What was she supposed to do? She was young and naive when she signed to that company (who isn’t naive starting his first job after finishing school), and the company made sure to take advantage of her and make all her works their property. Wei Zhi could only try to sue them, but it costs a lot of money and she doesn’t have them (she mentioned she can’t afford to buy ski googles), and her mom would never give her money for fighting for her comics (mom hates Zhi’s profession). So what was Zhi supposed to do? How to fight a big company when you don’t have money? But she didn’t give up and did the only possible thing - start on a new comics with new topic, that only was allowed in her contract.

It’s like this - FL (Esther) has many haters (jelous fans of other artists), jelous of her success and all come here and give bad ratings (they are rating episodes not even aired by the lowest score, rate without even watching). So her fans are quite sensitive for that kind of criticism like “she was badly cast”, “she is cringy”, “her voice is terrible”. All of it is actually not true and based only on not knowing the original character she is playing. She is actually casted very well, she is perfect Wei Zhi. You would have to know the novel and Wei Zhi character to understand it. Wei Zhi is bubbly and cute girl, sometimes acting overly cutely, childishly and coquetishly and talking in cute and high-pitched voice - that’s how the novel describes her. Esther is acting her perfectly. But you obviously don’t like the character 🤷‍♀️ Criticism is ok as long as it’s constructive. But criticizing something you don’t understand is not constructive criticism. Don’t be surprised people disagree with such opinion 🤷‍♀️

Fanatic fans? No, just someone fed up with people like you 🤷‍♀️ You come here, criticize the actress for acting exactly how she is supposed to act (because her character is written like this, what you obviosusly don’t know), and when we explain to you, you start talking about us not being able to accept criticism 🤦‍♀️ Educate yourself about how constructive criticism looks like. What you do is just pure hate 🤷‍♀️
But why to bother with you, hate Wei Zhi as much as you want, if it makes you feel better 😂 She is topping the charts right now 😉

Did you read the novel? I did. And she is doing her character exactly the way she shoud. She is actually nailing it, she is Wei Zhi from the novel.
When I read the novel I was worried haters will say exactly what you say - Wei Zhi in novel is cute and bubbly girl, her voice is often described there as overly high-pitched, childish, overly cute. So I knew Esther will have to use her cute voice and haters will hate on it.. And Esther as voice-actress does this voice perfectly - and if you wouldn’t be so biased you would notice that her voice here is slightly different than in her other dramas. Her voice is actually a bit different for each of her roles.
So stop talking about criticism here. You can criticize something you know is not well done. But you have no idea how Wei Zhi character is supposed to be, so how can you criticize it?? You criticize her for acting it exactly the way she is supposed to do it 🤦‍♀️ All you do is really just hate 🤷‍♀️ When you want to criticize her acting, learn something about her character first.. And if you don’t like this type of cute characters, just don’t watch this drama and find something according to your liking 🤷‍♀️

I don’t know what you saw, but I clearly saw all that emotions in her face 🤷‍♀️ Actually she has such a good ability to express her emotions that I believe her every single one. I cry with her and smile with her. I saw one BTS from Sword and fairy - her crying scene from one of last episodes - and by her emotional acting she made the director cry, she was that good!

Her acting in LBFAD was very good. People who read the novel said she was perfect as Xiao Lanhua. Her acting as well as her voice were exactly how they were supposed to be. It’s just that people watch it not knowing how the characters are supposed to be like and make assumptions. She was great there, her character maturing through the drama. In this drama it’s the same - her character at the beginning is a girl with erased memory and so she is like 3 years old at first, growing through the drama. People who know the original game say she is perfect as Yue Qi, top acting and top voice. But if you didn’t like Xiao Lanhua, you will not like Yue Qi. Not because of Esther’s acting, but because of your dislike of this kind of characters..

I don’t think it has something to do with her voice. It’s just haters (usually fans of someone else, or some other drama), who want to downrate this drama to help their drama look better - just plain jelousy.
It’s impossible to fight against it, they have more accounts and rate the lowest for all episodes even though these episodes haven’t aired yet. These people probably never watched single minute of this drama.. If you look into rating graph, there is some amount of people who marked this drama as completed - drama that has still episodes to be aired 🤷‍♀️

Exactly! I also think he deserves to breakthrough finally! I’m surprised he is so underrated.. I like him a lot since I saw him in Moonlight, such a kind and sweet boy with great acting skills (especially his eyes can express all emotions). But I belive in XinXin’s ability to pick good scripts, so I hope this will be hit and more people will finally recognize Ding Yuxi’s skills!

Yes, the same airing date is unlucky, there is a lot of people who want to watch both, but will have to choose one to watch first, which will decrease the heat of the other drama /o: But what can we do, Tencent and Youku want to compete for viewers /o: So lets hope for the best, I believe it will be a hit!

Calm down. This was just a trailer, wait for the drama. Maybe his scenes are too revealing so they didn’t include them in trailer. Or they wanted to make the trailer as an introduction to the story, not talking too much about the plot. Other materials so far were mostly about main leads, Ding Yuxi and Esther. I’m not happy about dubbing of Mu Sheng, but there is probably some reason behind it 🤷‍♀️
Just wait for the drama and then you can speculate about the screen time. Not after 1 minute long trailer 🙄

For me, it was very good. I loved every bit of it, the acting was top. But the plot is not an easy one, you have to pay attention to be able to follow it. If you don’t mind, try it, it is worth it.
Just be prepared, heroin at the beginning is mentaly like 3 years old, lost her memory (and also social skils) and also talks like child - some people cannot stand it and hate this great drama for it (although it belongs to the plot).

At the beginning there were many haters of main leads who gave 1 or 2 points although never watched any episode (they rated episodes even before these were aired). And the people who really watched and liked it were not able to improve the rating even though we tried.
There was no promotion, and it’s plot is not an easy one - many people watched few episodes and lost interest because they would have to pay attention to understand the plot.
But fans of the original game say this is the best adaptation of all Chinese paladin games. And also praise Esther and Xu Kai for their acting and for creating perfect characters, even better than in game.
For me, this drama deserves much better rating.

Why so obsessed with Yu Shuxin, when in fact you are her hater? I saw your comments at Sword and Fairy discussion - again, complaining about her voice, her acting, her ruining every scene.. You should find professional help, this is not normal.. I hope you will overcome your jelousy one day (o; Yu shuxin is doing better and better, praised by many directors and co- stars for her acting and voice acting, loved by many for her kind personality, her hard work, attitude.. It must be hard for you to watch it, so I have an advice - stop following her and her dramas, you will feel better (o;
