She does perfectly with her roles, in this drama game fans praised her, she did great as Yue Qi, she was exactly how she was supposed to be (as the Yue Qi from original game). She was even so good that she made director cry in one of her crying scenes, she did the scene in one shot.
In fact, people can see how good her acting is, only haters still talk about her money (which is btw a lie, if she would buy her roles, her career would go much faster).

I saw some list of Tencent dramas for 2024 and it was there, so maybe this year? But I assume at the end of the year..

I share the same opinion, there was nothing wrong about weight comment (it wasn’t ment as mocking comment) and Esther definitelly didn’t look offended, she understood what XuKai ment (o: Esther is that kind of person who wants to make people around happy, to make them laugh. So she is joking all the time. XuKai is pretty good in it as well. So I think all they did was on purpose, they wanted to entertain the people. And it is much easier as bickering duo than as romantic couple. It was obvious they both feel comfortable around each other, they seem like good friends, so they can afford to make even some mocking-like comments (because they know the other one will not feel insulted and will understand it as a joke).
It is just oversensitive fans who see bad intentions there /o: I know that Esther had some weight issues and some of her coworkers were teasing her she is too heavy, it is probably one of bigger issues for her, so some fans are oversensitive about weight topic. But in H!6 it was obvious she didn’t take XuKai’s remark as insulting, I think she knew how he ment it (that any weight is too much at that mat). And I also think Esther didn’t want to crash XuKai’s toes, she just didn’t realize that the move she decided to do will cause him such a pain. She is very kind girl and would never intentionally hurt someone. And that she didn’t want him to carry her - one of the reasons might be her insecurity about her weight, she is affraid she is too heavy, she heard it too often in the past (which is funny with her like 50kg, but obviously a lot of chinese actors are too slim to be strong enough to carry even such a light weight, XuKai is quite exceptional with his strength)
I personally loved Esther - XuKai duo in H!6 and I hope they will have opportunity to appear together in more variety shows in the future.

I was also curious what happened and it turned out some Esther’s fans felt offended by XuKai saying to Esther “Do you know your weight?” after the game on massaging mat. And started bodyshaming XuKai and saying he is weak if Esther seems too heavy for him. This turned on XuKai’s fans and they started complaining about Esther hurting XuKai (by stepping on his toes) and (as they say) making herself center of attention.
But in fact, XuKai and Esther were both perfectly fine together, none of them felt offended by the other and both were having fun. They obviously decided not to play it romantically and fry CP, but to play it as bickering siblings, which was great idea, because it was much more fun ((o: They both know how to do variety show and how to entertain viewers. And because they both seem to be good friends, they obviously feel free to bicker knowing the other one will not feel offended by such teasing.
So the problem was not the show, but just some oversensitive fans who make drama from nothing, as usual.. And it was enough to start online fight /o: Such a pitty, it was amazing how both fandoms supported each other during SF6 airing. It was such a nice change, Esther has usually hard time with her ML’s fandom. The saddest part is that this time it seems Esther’s fans started this )o:

I really don’t understand this dropping, the drama is very good and more and more exciting towards the end. And for me, the ending is happy one and as well reasonable one. The acting is excellent and I loved the plot.
In my opinion, the plot is probably too difficult for some people, you have to pay attention to understand and it seems some people want just an easy drama with a lot of romance, but without need to think about the plot too much.
And there are also haters, there was a lot of them who just came to give the lowest possible rating to all chapters even though these chapters haven’t aired yet.
The rating should be much higher. I recommend to watch till the end (o;

I cried as hell from ep. 29 till the last one ((o: Only the positive ending saved me ((o: I watched it in the evening and still had swollen eyes in the morning.. They did really good job with their acting, all of them, I believed them every emotion!

You ask how I’m sure Esther is a nice person? It is easy. Sure I don’t know her personally, but there is a lot of people who do. Her friends, coworkers, people from filming crew, people who met her somehow.. And these people talk. I read a lot of comments from these people. ALL were very similar, all were praising her personality, saying she is very kind, nice, moodmaker, cheering others up, caring about them, making them comfortable (despite it usually means less comfort or more exhaustion for her). Some reported how she helped them although she didn’t know them (just saw them being unhappy and immediatelly came and asked what happened and tried to help). She donates and sends money to ones who need it and never talks about it (the people sometimes talk, so that’s why it becomes known). Her coworkers say how dedicated she is, how hardly she works, in terrible conditions but never complains and is always cheerfull. I read so many of these praises from people who really didn’t have to say it. Nobody ever talked badly about her (except online haters who don’t know her). And you can also see that she is friend with everyone in c-ent, it is obvious from all behind the scene videos where they don’t know they are filmed by fans.
And to your favourite topic about buying roles - then tell me why she started with small roles, was without job for like 8 month more than once, it took her time to get where she is now.. If she would buy roles, why wouldn’t she start with main roles? Why wouldn’t she buy role by role? No, all her success was well deserved, step by step, constantly improving and making directors know that she is good actress.
Trust me, I don’t believe just something I read somewhere. I need much more and much reliable information to start believing it. And also use my brain when reading some stuff..

Esther and Lusy are equally beautifull. That’s what I’m stating. Not that Lusy is more beautifull.. And about the boys - you are such a lier, Esther is not hunting boys, she is avoiding them as much as possible for not being scolded by their crazy fangirls. Lusy is much more OK with boys around her, interacts much freely with them at events, probably doesn’t get as much hate as Esther for interacting with them. So please, stop your lies.. Esther gets so much undeserved hate from fans who know nothing about her, but feel somehow threatened by her..
You obviously don’t like when Esther’s fans are talking bad about Lusy, right? So why are you doing the same as Lusy’s fan?? It is OK to defend Lusy from haters, but it is definitelly not OK doing it by slendering other actress. What did Esther do to you to hate her? To say such lies about her (and yes, saying she can’t act and saying she is buying roles by her money are both not only lies, but it is also very rude and dehonesting).
Fighting hatefull comments by hating someone innocent is such a childish behaviour. Like “you say my favourite is bad, then I say your favourite is bad” - isn’t it more normal to say “you are bad for saying such lies”? Look, I’m Esther’s fan, but I would never talk bad about other actress. And I hate if other Esther’s fans do that. But the problem here are these toxic fans, not the actress herself, she has nothing to do with these toxic fans, she is not the one saying them to be like that, it’s quite the opposite.. So how does she deserve to read comments like yours one about how terrible she is? Would you like it being on her place? Try to think of it a bit..
And please, stop with your hatefull comments about Esther, you know nothing about her, she went through a lot already and I admire how strong she is, anyone else would break down after so much hate she was getting in the past (and still gets, but luckily less then in the past - when people get to know her, they fell in love with her and never stop, so the amount of her fans is much bigger and haters are less to be heard).

If you wouldn’t skip half of it, you couldn’s say it is childish and boring story ((o: And you would understand the plot and also would appreciate their great acting (o;
But maybe the plot was too difficult for you, it needs full attention to understand it and not everybody is patient enough, some prefere less complicated stories, some prefere more romance in it. This one was probably not your cup of tea.. I love it, love the plot (all is explained at the right time), love acting of all cast here.

Oh, I didn’t notice you are Lusy’s fan? So why the jelousy? Isn’t Lusy succesfull enough? Why do you need to downgrade Esther? Do you feel she could threaten Lusy? I really don’t understand your behaviour. And saying Esther’s appearance is nothing special? Sure, there are more beautifull actresses, but I consider Lusy at the same level as Esther, both are beautifull, but there are even more beautifull ones. But it doesn’t make them not beautifull..
Grow up, stop spreading hate and enjoy your favourite instead. How do you think Lusy would appreciate such a rude behaviour you are showing here? It is sick behaviour.. Invest your time into supporting Lusy instead of spending it on following Esther (o;

And you assume Esther is buying not only roles but also this actor, who you assume should love your favourite. With such nonsense, there is no point to discuss with you. Hello saturday variety show. But this episode with XuKai and Esther hasn’t been broadcasted yet. Maybe in 2 or 3 weeks it could be out..

Jelous? ((o: All directors praised her acting skills, her coworkers praised her acting, but you obviously understand acting better than them ((o: Don’t make fool of yourself.. In Sward and fairy 6 she even made the director cry by her great acting in emotional scene. So please go spreading your “smart” minds somewhere else.
And btw. her parents don’t buy her roles, in fact they didn’t want her to be actress, she was supposed to stay in family business, they didn’t support her carrier. But it is probably hard for you to swallow that all her successes are only results of her hard work, attitude, talent, dedication and her kind personality.
You know, it’s really disgusting to downgrade and shame other actresses. Stay with your favourite and don’t go around to badmouth others..

In fact, FL’s weapon in SF6 is a sword made of her thoughts. She is fighting with this sword and main goal is to make this sword strong enough to deal with “the main villain” (but in fact, there is not classical villain here, nobody here is just back or white). So the sword is very important here as well.

Yes, really sad, but also very good. I cried a lot but definitelly don’t regret watching. And after the ending, I felt happy, so it’s fine for me (o: It is much worse to feel devastated because of the ending.. I really like this drama, the acting is excellent, I was able to really feel their emotions thanks to the perfect acting. And also the whole plot was interesting. And it didn’t lack proper explanation, if one was paying attention, everything was explained at some point.

I definitelly recomend to watch till the end (o; It is mainly sad, but ending left me happy, I was satisfied.

I also think he/she didn’t understand a lot of things. It’s impossible with a lot of skipping and speed-upping..
That’s probably also the reason why he/she considers the ending as unnatural. For me, the ending was very reasonable and I can’t think about more fitting one..

I think Ming Xiu’s master has definitelly feelings for her. But my assumption is he is hiding them because he knows he will die soon (he saw future Ming Xiu wearing the ring, so he knew he will be dead by then). So he tries to distance himself from her to let her find friends and purpose of life so she will have someone after his death. And also - he probably also thinks that if he would let her know his feelings, she would mourn him even more after his death. So he is doing it (hiding his feelings) to make it easier for Ming Xiu to come to terms with his death , to lessen her suffering. That’s how I see it. I’m not sure if it’s really forbidden to have romantic relationship between disciple and master..

That’s sad.. I would never rate other dramas low, especially the ones I didn’t watch.. Well then it’s hard to judge others to downrate a drama if the one judging does the same. You are right, it’s hypocritical )o:
I’m sad this drama is so underrated, but I would never go and underrate other dramas. How could it make me happier? I just hope this drama will somehow get to the wider audience and will be appriciated in the future..
