I can't remember where I got my PDFs from (there is also a second novel for Euthanasia) but Glan's been awesome so it's all good :).
I'll start reading it today after drama updates I think ❤️

That first episode was very, very good...
As we just get the one episode this week, I think I'll distract myself by reading the novel. So far, I'm very impressed with both this and Petrichor. They're very much the sort of BL/ GL dramas I'd love to have more of.

More than likely this. I don't see why people can't just drop a series and move on and not try to ruin it for other people by review bombing.
The rating will go up. Jack and Joker got a similar rating after the first episode before shooting up, and now it's one of the highest-rated dramas on the site. It seems a lot of people are enjoying THK from the comments here (I watched the first episode and will return to it when it's finished airing I think).

...Wang Juan writing the script for a Republican crime drama? I'm very curious to see how this will turn out.

Whilst a bit of an older drama there is Painter of the Wind which I remember someone telling me about. I haven't gotten round to checking it out yet and need to make time for it in the near future.
Whilst a movie not a drama there is also The Handmaiden. Not sure if you've seen it but it was *very* good.
And IIRC Jeong Nyeon was a censored adaption of a GL webtoon. This list isn't exhaustive as I'm just getting round to checking out GL movies/ dramas (but I agree there's certainly a lack of Korean GLs. If this turns out to be one likewise I'll be checking it out).

Oh ouch, and no I hadn't :(. I had a similar experience waiting for Shinsengumi earlier this year and that was "only" 20 episodes. You have my full sympathy.

I've been wanting more historical BL dramas and YouTube just recommended the trailer to me. So reminiscent of To Sir, With Lov which is my favourite Thai drama ever.

Agreed. I think k-dramas have the right idea with two episodes a week as that feels perfect. I love Thai dramas but waiting for one episode a week can be brutal if it's a good one.

I watched it with auto-translate as I assumed that was all we were going to get 🤣. I have no problems re-watching it with better subs though. the first episode was good.

Agreed. If I dislike or lose interest in a drama I just accept it's not for me, delete it from my list and move on to something I enjoy.
Generally I tend to not take ratings seriously anymore. Easier that way.
