I absolutely loved the first two episodes. Now it's just a question of waiting on subs/ one episode a week but I'll try to be patient 🤣this is shaping up to be quite a special drama. Note - if you want to torture yourself, watch this right after Lipstick (k-movie😢). I have quite a few complicated and conflicted emotions right now.
As a fan of both bl and gl it makes me happy when bl fans give a chance to gls
👍 I don't tend to watch many romances but the main reason I watch more BLs is because I tend to find the storylines more interesting. It's great to see more GLs being made and for them to have more varied plots/ genres. I'll check this out whilst I wait for Petrichor as the trailer looked very promising.
❤️🌹Happy birthday! ❤️🌹 I'm not so patiently waiting on both Detective of Nan Luo and Under the Skin S2 (I've given up on Winner is King ever airing, but it would be lovely if it did ofc).
Happy birthday! 🌹❤️ Such a talented man who has been through so much...I hope he continues to prove himself and be successful. I'm also hoping we get to see Zang Hai Zhuan airing shortly!
Well, Sant Srikaewlaw also directed Bangkok Blossom so if this (hopefully) gets subbed I'll be checking it out. It certainly seems like something I'd enjoy.
Short hair Go soo is back...yesMaybe it's an unpopular opinion but I did not like his long hair... He looks more…
You're not the only one. He was great in Missing: The Other Side, but I wasn't a fan of his longer hair in season 2 (although he's an extremely attractive man either way). Looking forward to this one!
What a great start. I loved the scenes when they tried to use self-service machines and were convinced modern convenience wanted them to starve to death 🤣. It gave me flashbacks of when my dad decided to get a smartphone and I (with limited success) helped him work out how to use it. Good times.
A very nice write-up I'll be reading it properly when I get back home. Joy of Life is one of the first c-dramas I ever watched and is still my #1, there's just something about it and I'll blame Zhang Ruo Yun for my obsession lol. I just adore the guy as an actor, he's so naturally funny and charismatic. I just hope we're not waiting until 2029 for season 3!
I feel like this might have 100 Degree Longitude Passes Through Us vibes (only with a new step-father rather than an old friend of the parents). And it's also a melodrama with most likely a sad or at the very least an open ending... I'll keep an eye out for subs as this sounds promising. It would be nice to see more gritty, emotional storylines like this.
I'm really enjoying this and everyone is obvs entitled to their opinion and there are gaps but bro some shows…
Completely agree (both with this and your above comment of these two having great chemistry together). My personal gripe with the series is I wanted to see more of Joke's schemes in episode 1. Sure the bank heist was ridiculous but it was meant to be (they literally had a "yes, we know that banks do not quite work this way" disclaimer lol), and I love how over the top and silly the series can get. It has a great atmosphere. But likewise I'm enjoying this a lot. One of the better BLs of the year and points for doing something a bit different and not taking itself too seriously (both this and Doku Koi are completely hilarious).
