As I watched this with machine subs because my zero impulse control got out of hand (yet again...) I'll re-watch this again when Viki has translated it all to pick up on anything I missed.
Another political drama to watch roughly around the time when Uncle Samsik finishes? Count me in! (I love how we're just getting so many of them this year. One of my favourite genres ever <3) Edit...if it's on Netflix am I right in thinking we get all episodes drop on the same day? That would be amazing,

Edit - really good. A few rough edges and logical pitfalls here and there but I'll always be very forgiving to this series for trying something different and overall being very entertaining. Just love how they keep up that campy, romcom-esque humour with all the action scenes and mystery, it gives The Sign so much character and flair. I'd still love a second season but if there is a spin-off with our new lady captian (perhaps some cameos from the boys too?) that would be great. IDF is killing it with interesting upcoming stories tbh.
I'm fine with waiting a while for a translation as tbh I'm just happy this one is getting subs at all. It's a beautifully produced drama - those musical numbers alone had so much flair and character (very "Moulin Rouge" at times and I mean that with the highest compliment as burlesque is an art form) -and I'd love to see more of this quality in the future. l adore historical dramas and the actresses are all so gorgeous and talented, and I hope they all get many film/ drama roles in the future. This drama has been wonderful.

I love the donghua a lot, it's amazing. The trailer for the live action was alright. Not brilliant but it's early days. Plus I love Jiang Long so I'll watch it anyway. Guessing we have a while to wait so I'll try and be patient!

It's in my top three dramas of 2024 if the pace holds up (I'm not a big fan of romance dramas but I'll watch them if they appeal to me for whatever reason or as a "palate cleanser"). It's not for everyone which is completely fine. If I get a couple of good dramas within this genre a year I'm more than happy (it gives me time to re-watch and analyse them). So far this, War of Faith and City of the City have been very much appreciated.
So this is a fantasy drama about human beings and spirits . Why bring age gap here ???
I mean...in Eternal Love Bai Qian is over 90,000 years older than Ye Hua iirc. As you say it's a fantasy drama (plus time even passes differently in god/ spirit realms compared to the mortal one). For the most part, I'm happy to give my brain a rest one in a while and go with the flow if the storyline is enjoyable.
