Again, yes, truly a beautiful series and a tie for my favourite of the year so far (also the first romance drama I think I've actually completed in 2025 🤣. I guess that I've been even fussier than normal, lol).
The pacing was a bit on the fast side for me - I wouldn't call it rushed, but with 12 episodes, a lot could have been expanded on. But then I'm saying this used to 40-50 episode wuxia dramas, and I love the early world-building in them. Like, some people say that The Untamed was boring or slow in the first few episodes...those first episodes had me fully seated and engaged and is what makes the series so special imo.
As I like to torture myself, I think I'll go and re-watch this again. But really, so impressed with this, it was lovely ❤️🌹

I was about to agree with you about having a day to recuperate was a good thing. Then I realised the first thing I did after watching episode 9 was to re-watch it 🤣apparently I am in the mood to torture myself lol. (Serious though, it's kinda awesome having an episode a day until this finishes airing...but wow I'm going to miss it when it's over).
Beautiful series... I only wish we'd get more. 40 or so episodes of this would be heavenly, but I'm happy all the same—definitely something I'll be re-watching. (plus the kisses ... ❤️🌹)
The setting is fascinating tbh and is what drew me in. I liked the idea of the ABO setting being the result of a virus and found it quite a creative and interesting take on the Omegaverse. Added plus as it seemed we'd get a business subplot but...yeah. Did not like the characters much, and I lost interest. A lot of relationship drama, deception, and toxicity, which I'm not fond of (some people love it, and that's perfectly fine).
For what it's worth, it's beautifully produced, and the actors are stunning. But I couldn't get into it either. Likewise, I'm very happy for people who are enjoying it, and I'm happy to see some uncensored Chinese BLs airing internationally.
After falling in love with both The Untamed and Word of Honour (The Untamed and Joy of Life are literally what got me addicted to c-dramas in the first place), it still seems incredible that we actually get an uncensored BL wuxia. Time to check this out anyway. And perhaps re-watch and obsess over it a little bit 🤣happy watching, everyone!

For a wuxia...yeah. I'd be happy with 40-odd episodes (or even more like in the "good old days" pre-2022). But still, it's an uncensored wuxia BL, so that's pretty awesome in itself, considering everything. Just really hope it's not rushed too much 🤞 *only 6 hours left*
